Coroners Inquest Bahamas: California attorney Howard K. Stern disputed testimony given by South Carolina developer Ford Shelley that he flushed pills allegedly found in Daniel’s jeans pocket after he had died
Stern Testifies In Smith Inquest - By TOSHEENA ROBINSON-BLAIR: Nassau, Bahamas - A close friend of the former US reality TV star the late Anna Nicole Smith not only recounted the final hours of the celebrity’s 20-year-old son’s life while on the witness stand Tuesday, but also refuted previous testimony that he possibly got rid of evidence. California attorney Howard K. Stern was the last witness to take the stand in the Coroner’s Inquest that began in November, but was delayed while the court tried to secure testimony from American witnesses – who are not compelled to come to The Bahamas to give evidence in the matter. On the witness stand Tuesday, Mr. Stern described the young man as a good person, even though his mother sent him to live with caretaker Raymond Martino after

Disputed Khmer temple to be renovated by Archaeological Survey of India
19 November 2007 (Earthtimes.org, Bangkok Post) - Preah Vihear, a hotly contested khmer temple that straddles between the Thai and Cambodian borders is to be renovated by a neutral party - the Archaeological Survey of India. The temple sits on a high cliff and rests on Cambodian soil; however, entrance into the temple is via the Thai side of the border. I’m not sure how this move resolves any diplomatic tensions over the site, however. The other interesting aspect of the two stories is the involvement of the Archaeological Survey of India, which has been active in restoring many Hindu temples throughout Southeast Asia. Notably, it had helped restore the Prambanan temples in Indonesia after it as damaged during last year’s earthquake as well as the Ta Prohm, another Angkoran temple. Limbaugh Further Compromises His Credibility By Backing Disputed Swift Boat Liars
Earlier in the week, John Kerry was asked about the Swift Boat Liars and he responded that he was prepared with additional evidence to fight them. Even before this interview the claims of the Swift Boat Liars had been exposed as lies originating from political opponents. At the end of the week another source lacking credibility, Rush Limbaugh, claimed that they “were right on the money, and nobody has disproven anything they claimed in any of their ads, statements, written commentaries, or anything of the sort.” I’ve previously posted numerous articles disputing their claims. Media Matters reviewed some of the false claims following Limbaugh’s statement. Kerry spokesman David Wade issued the following response to Limbaugh: At first I thought, that’s not Rush, that’s just the OxyContin talking. Nonetheless, this is a despicable but unsurprising new lie from a man whose closest brush with combat came when customs officials tried to take away his Viagra.

      At Some Disputed Barricade
It's been a week since I last posted. I hate to go that long before posting, but this last week has been a rough one. I overdid it on Monday and Tuesday and spent the next four days on the couch trying to rest up. The pain got so bad on Saturday, Jess took me to the urgent care center. The doctor upped my prednisone again, which gave me a little jolt on Sunday when I ran around cleaning and straightening, but I'm back to pooped again today. Dad blessed/cursed me by putting a game called Bookworm on the laptop, and that keeps me busy. Maybe a little too busy. It's extremely addictive, even Molly and Doogie are sucked in. Jess hasn't had a chance; he had another major paper due this weekend. He's taking a nutrition class, and he's already learned a great deal. Fruits and veggies are the new snacks in the house. Mia doesn't mind at all, I'm having a little harder time with it. At Some Disputed Barricade by Anne Perry is the fourth book in her World War I series. The story features

Therapy’s Benefits for Sex Offenders Is Disputed
The idea that you can reform pedophiles is one of the biggest crocks of the 21st century. The rate of recidivism is almost 100%. But there is an industry built around treatment for these sick bastards and of course the industry suggests more and more treatments. This in spite of the fact that studies show that pedophiles who undergo treatment are MORE likely to molest children again. "Similar to aspects of Alcoholics Anonymous, relapse prevention has sex offenders own up to wrongdoing and resign themselves to a lifelong day-to-day struggle with temptation. But one of the few authoritative studies of the method, conducted in California from 1985 to 2001, found that those who entered relapse prevention treatment were slightly more likely to offend again than those who got no therapy at all."The problem though is that bleeding hearts have made "treatment" such a mantra for so many years that people are afraid to speak out against this stupidity in spite of studies show
