The last day of our euro trip is at Paris Disneyland. This Disneyland is definitely much smaller than the one in US. However, it’s not small either. I can only manage to finish the park one throughout the whole day despite we had already rushed to finish it as soon as possible so that we have time for park two, but we couldn’t. If you’re really goin

Last night I made reservations for our annual pilgrimage to the Happiest Place on Earth. We first took the kids when they were 3 and 4 years old, and at this point, we have as many traditions about going to Disneyland as Mr. Disney had ideas for characters. We've got a jar with change we've been saving up for souvenirs. The kids have already rolled most of it. Sometimes grandparents contribute.

Disneyland launched the first iteration of their Innoventions house at Tomorrowland earlier this week. So will people actually use these technologies in their own homes? Hard to say. From an L.A. The Beckhams enjoyed a family trip to Disneyland in California. Posh looking unusually relaxed in baggy jeans, black t-shirt (with no cleavage to be shown...) and flip-flops. My personal opionon; she looks way sexier in that outfit than those horrible skinny jeans and tight tops. Put on a few kgs Vicky, and use the baggy look once in a while!

If you haven’t noticed, Israel is where all the crazy western religions come to compete.

With the anticipation of the soon to be released Wall-E movie by Pixar, Walt Disney seems to be capitalizing on the buzz by introducing an animatronic version of Wall-E to promote the film. Disneyland is called the "happiest place on earth"...at least that's how the Disney company calls it. A place of magic and wonder where Mickey Mouse is the king. This visit was very special because I took my wife and my daughter to visit and it was their first time visiting Disneyland. I think it's pretty cool to take people to Disneyland especially if they've never been there before.
Baghdad at night. I hope those aren't bombs falling at the top of this Disneyland-esque illustration. If I didn't know any better I'd think the idea of an amusement park built over 50 acres in Baghdad is a film treatment from David Lynch. But no. Alas, this lunacy is the brainchild of Llewellyn Werner who appears to possess the same self-awareness as, well, as George Bush. Werner secured a 50-year lease on prime real estate in Baghdad near the Green Zone to build an amusement and skateboard park. Perhaps by near the end of the lease contract Iraq will be ready for an amusement park, but it seems a bit premature to consider an entertainment park when the Green Zone remains under siege. Yesterday two US soldiers and 37 civilians were killed in attacks in and around the Green Zone. But, hey, w

Walt dreamed up Disneyland for his two little girls, but “The Happiest Place on Earth” has plenty to offer big kids as well. When we recently visited with my 17-year-old daughter and 20-year-old son, they were both charmed and thrilled by this classic park. Though tiny in comparison to Disney World in Orlando (where we’ve been vacationing since the kids were tots), Disneyland’s intimacy is what makes it so special -- and so appealing to teenagers. The easy-to-navigate layout makes it a snap to race from Space Mountain to Splash Mountain, even though they’re in different parts of the park. And when they’re done in Disneyland, kids can dash over to Disney’s California Adventure, just steps across the promenade from Disneyland’s gates. The experience brings park-hopping to a w
"Opening this summer will be the “Innoventions Dream Home” in Tomorrowland in Disneyland, an attraction that will remind fans of Walt Disney’s fondness for futuristic ideas. The latest in cutting-edge and inspiring home ideas will be showcased in the Innoventions Dream Home, a 5,000-plus square foot residence featuring integrated digital technology in an immersive “high-tech, high-touch” guest experience. Design and development of the “Innoventions Dream Home” sprang from an alliance between Disneyland Resort, Microsoft, HP, Life/ware and home builder Taylor Morrison. The notion of a Dream Home has deep roots at the Disneyland Resort. Walt Disney was fascinated with the concept of a futuristic home and he introduced concepts at World's Fairs that led to the first "House of Tom

While she’s used to being photographed on the catwalk or stumbling out of a bar, Kate Moss provided a picture perfect mommy moment in sunny California on Friday (April 4). E' bello vedere che Kate non sia più alle prese con la droga e continui scandali; eccola nella versione di una mamma premurosa che dedica un pò del suo tempo alla figlia... Having the Disney name on your resume is a good way to get a prospective employer's attention. For a recent graduate, getting hired by this corporate giant can be a wonderful opportunity. BusinessWeek declared that Disney is the "Number 1 Place to Launch a Career." If you are still in college and interested in full-time employment opportunities with Disney, getting a summer job theme park job is a great way to get a feel for the company. Not only will you have the opportunity to see how the company is run, but it is an opportunity to demonstrate to the company what you have to offer as a prospective full-time employee. As has been the case frequently over the past few weeks, high winds meant that Believe... In Holiday Magic and both performances of Fantasmic! were canceled altogether on New Year's Eve, and the midnight fireworks were scaled back quite a bit—reportedly down to just a few low-level pyro shots in both Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure (DCA) parks. One-day admissions for Disneyland were no longer available by 1:00 pm., but the park never reached capacity and was still allowing entry all day. This was also attributed to very high winds and chilly temperatures.
Affectionately known as DLP by Mouseketeers the world over, Disneyland Paris is a cornucopia of rides, restaurants, exhibits and all out fun for everyone. And in the last few years the fun has been doubled as Disney added the Walt Disney Studios park to an already jam packed adventure.
Many of the traditional rides from the California theme park were recreated (with some French twists) at the
After watching all these Disney videos recently I want to go to Disneyland! Who wants to go with me?
I just finished watching Disneyland: Secret, Stories, & Magic, and while it’s not necessarily related to any animals, like the other videos I’ve blogged about lately, it’s definitely worth watching. On the first disc there’s quite a bit about the making of Disneyland. How the park made its way from Walt Disney’s imagination to reality was a huge undertaking! And although Disney had many doubters, his park opened to an eager crowd on July 17, 1955.
There’s a lot on these two discs, but some of the highlights for me, besides the making of Disneyland, include Wonderful World of Color episodes. There are three on disc two but my favorite is The Golden Horseshoe Review, (aired in September, 1962) with Annette Funicello, Ed Wynn, Betty Taylor, and the hilarious Wally Boag. Other episodes include Disneyland goes to the World’s Fair, (aired in May,
A two year old girl narrowly escaped death when she hopped on to the conveyor belt at Manchester Airport, and was then taken on a hellish ride through the 4 mile long baggage handling system.
It appears the toddler's parents were distracted at the baggage counter, and the tot simply walked through an empty check in desk, stepped on the conveyor belt and managed to sneak into the luggage carousel. While her parents frantic with worry were mounting a search, the girl was making her way through a maze of X-ray machines. She'd gone about half a mile when her clothes caught on the walls of the tunnel, blocking and halting the system. When a staff member went to check up on the blockage, he found the girl inside, bruised, but safe.
Airport staff members say it's nothing short of a miracle she survived. Had she made it further through the maze, she would have been decapitated by the metal arms that sort bags into separate dispatch areas, to be loaded on to different flights.

The boats at Disneyland's It's a Small World ride are getting stuck way too often. After years of patching the fiberglass boats, they are scraping the bottom of the flume and stopping the ride. Rumor has it that the ever expanding weight of the American public is the problem. Disneyland is denying this and going ahead with a 10month refurbishment of the ride. A new water flume and new undisclosed scenes will be added to It's a Small World. January 7. 2008 will be the first day the ride will be closed.
Resp-canada.net now provides Canadians with a free opportunity to visit the beautiful Disneyland through a free contest. There is nothing much that has to be done to avail of this free offer. All that you have to do is to click here, where you will be transferred to the survey page of the site.
And on providing your particulars for simple questions, you have to send over the completed form to the office by 21st December, 2007. And if you are the lucky one, you just may be the next person who will be visiting Disneyland with your family during your next vacations.
No matter you are a super Disney fan, you have to visit our theme park - Hong Kong Disneyland! Halloween is coming soon and "The Dark Side of Hong Kong Disneyland" is now showing. Hong Kong Disneyland is located on the Lantau Island. Undoubtedly the most convenient way to arrive there will be by the MTR. Take the MTR to the Sunny Bay Station and interchange another Disney-decorated train to the Disneyland Resort Station. There are Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland and Main Street, U.S.A with numerous games, street entertainment, parade and fireworks which you may have to spend a day or two inside Disneyland. In order not to miss any game, a "FASTPASS" can help you. If you are a super fan, I recommend you to stay a night in the Disneyland Hotel and even hold a wedding banquet there! There is package price of staying with the tickets of Disneyland too. Transport: MTR Disneyland Station

During a trip to Walt Disney World several years ago, I had the opportunity to see the Stanley Cup at Downtown Disney. The playoffs were in Tampa and the cup was brought over for a promo event. Ton’s of people were inline to get a picture with it. I saw way too many people kiss it. Yuck.

It's Friday afternoon so time for something fun and light. My friend from Delaware, Hayley B. got a chance to go out to Disneyland for the very first time. She had a wonderful time and I am very happy that she did. I am sure it meant as much to her as my first and only visit back in 1986 (when I was four). Hayley has some pictures and a complete Trip Report HERE I must say that I can't wait to do what she did next year. the folks at MiceChat are so wonderful and I want to meet them so very much. I am going to try to head out there to Disneyland next year. My target date is September 19th (my Birthday).
Getting to Disneyland on Southern California's expanding rail network will get much easier Oct. 1 with the start of regular shuttle service between the Anaheim train station, the Disneyland Resort and Anaheim Resort hotels. The shuttles, which will cost $3 for adults and be free for children 10 and under until Jan. 8 ($1 after that), will meet all northbound and southbound Pacific Surfliner trains. The trains run frequently between Los Angeles and San Diego, with a few trains a day rolling to Paso Robles via Ventura and Santa Barbara.

After the last guest leaves the park, the third shift custodial and maintenance crew comes out of hiding to do their thing. Nighttime is when the majority of daily repairs and maintenance are performed. Everything has to get all “neat and pretty” for park open the next morning.
In the dark, workers on the so-called Third Shift prettify flower beds, grass and topiaries at the 500-acre resort’s two parks and three hotels and entertainment district, planting more than 1 million flowers each year.
Every year they collect more than 17.5 million pounds of trash a year and go through 3,000 mops, 1,000 brooms, 500 dust pans, and change at least 100,000 light bulbs.
Third Shifters don’t really want guests to see them because peeking beneath the Sorcerer’s robe would be “bad show.”
“Our job is to set the stage for the guests,” said one custodian, Lori Kimbrell.

A U.S. troop pullout from Iraq would leave the country as a potent launchpad for international terrorism and Washington would be forced to go back in within a couple of years, a leading al Qaeda expert said on Tuesday.Rohan Gunaratna told a security conference at Lloyd's of London insurance market that Iraq, like Afghanistan in the 1990s, would become a "terrorist Disneyland" where al Qaeda could build up its strength unchallenged. If U.S., British and other coalition troops withdrew from Iraq in the next year, he said, "certainly the scale of attacks that would be mounted inside Iraq, and using Iraq as a launching pad to strike other Western countries -- countries in Europe, North America - would become such that after two or three years, the U.S. forces will have to go back to Iraq." The Singapore-based academic and writer said the epicenter of international terrorism had already switched from Afghanistan to Iraq. "In many ways, the terrorist threat has now shifted 1,500 miles close

The countdown to our vacation has started . . . 24 days to go.
When I was younger, my father was also employed by the airlines so I’ve been lucky to grow up with free travel benefits. Believe me, I’m no stranger to flying stand-by. We knew that when Dad said to run to the gate, we all ran! We knew not to complain about anything, not to ask for anything special, take whatever seat they gave us, and be extra nice to the crew. My Dad had a reputation to protect.
It’s a great benefit that allowed us to travel during every summer vacation.
Now it my family’s turn. We’ve been taking Girlie Girl to Disneyland every year since she was 1 year old. It’s no wonder that she loves all the Princesses. I remember last year when we were on a quest to get every single Princesses’ autograph. By the end of our trip we had all but one . . . Mulan. So what did we do? We canceled our plans and stayed an extra day just to stake out California Adventure Park in hopes

It was a very sorry little rabbit that hopped away. The ears were all drooped, the head was hanging low, and even the bob that went for a tail, seemed to take it hard. He had been unable to open his mouth at all. He knew his little speech by heart, but just when the time came to say it all, courage failed him. He stood frozen for some time… resplendent white, whiskers shivering and feet together. All he could do was stare around with wide eyes and look for familiar faces. Suddenly, the only place he wanted to be was in his mommy’s lap. In a decisive move, he hopped away searching for her face. He felt better that no one booed him. Poor bunny, his chance would only come next year now.It was the warrior’s turn next. He walked in royally with slow, purposeful steps. He showed all the si

It happens so often that one buys a stock for the right reasons but sells them for the wrong ones. I make that mistake frequently, but with USG, I am going to keep reminding myself why I own it. Here is a stock that is practically flat since last summer, while the rest of the market has seen a significant move up. In December, the stock finally hit $58, up from around $45 in summer, only to fall back to $52 by January even in the face of positive market momentum. By February, USG hit $58 again but the market declines pushed it down to that coveted $52 level. Just when one would have expected the stock to stabilize for the next move up, the company frustrated investors by making a share offering of some 8 million shares at $48.60, so guess what, the shares are now at $48.60. Normally, this kind of behavior is reason enough for me to sell, and I often kick myself for doing so. This time around, I have actually written myself sticky notes and stuck them to my monitor
