The message behind the advert might be an old one, and for some of you it might cause you to sigh in despair of being faced with another environmental message.
But, for me at least, there is always something exciting about watching a Discovery Channel advert. I am by no means an environmentally friendly campaigner, don't get me wrong, I'm not campaigning against environmentally friendly behaviour! But I am always captivated by adverts from reputable environmental brands such as Discovery Channel and WWF.
The production quality of their adverts is incredible and really makes us appreciate the world we live in, even if it is only for those few moments during the ad and briefly after.
The way they are able to capture our attention, even with the simplicity of this advert, is remarkable. And at the end of it all I do feel a slight bit of guilt for not appreciating our world as much as I should. Damn you Discovery...yet another thing on my mind!

Discovery Channel is showing a Halo exclusive video as a tie-in with a TV series titled 'Last One Standing' which is set to premiere on the 4th of October.Basically Neill Blomkamp was hired by Microsoft to do a Halo film, but these plans were put on the back-burner, resulting in these live action film shorts. Pretty grisly stuff I am sure you will agree - so most video game fans should love it! Maybe they should cast Chuck Norris as Master Chief.Check out the Halo video here.

With plans of renaming its entire cable television program to the Planet Green, it has added another blockbuster transaction to its planning stages by making it public that they will buy Treehugger.com, a well-known green loyalist and contributor towards the whole world green effort.
“Bringing TreeHugger.com into the Discovery family gives it the resources to continue doing what it does best: bringing green living to the masses,” Bruce Campbell, president of Discovery’s digital media, said in a written statement.

I love shark week and when I heard about the Sharkrunners Game I knew I had to sign up. The game has some pretty cool elements to it and of course there is some educational material thrown in.
