Chih__'s diary is much better than before. She still needs to improve more but I am happy with her progress. I think Diaries/Journals are a critical tool in the English teachers tool box. It is another way of breaking the communication barrier. I only wish I had started doing it sooner.If you see a diary with errors it is because i only correct a little at a time. Too much red pen can make the student depressed and lose confidence. I am a hard core strict teacher but I don't do anything that makes my job harder.

My Saturday 8 and 9 year olds just did their first page in their Diaries. Minami, Minami, Kazuki and Natsumi all did a great job!!!These are 2 vets of the Diary system :) (2 were absent) and they are only in the 4th and 5th grades. A blog is a strange thing. People use them for all sorts of things. For instance I used one to record change control on a website, and then used a second blog for announcements on the website. Very different uses, and requiring different layout - but both very effective uses of blogging software.I could make my blog private and just use it as a record of my thoughts for myself. Indeed it is really quite strange to have this window into ones inner world open for all the world (in principle) to see. American film studio, The Weinstein Company, has shifted the release of its upcoming film The Nanny Diaries to an early pre-Labor Day spot of August 24. Earlier the comedy-drama was scheduled for a release on September 7.   The release date reportedly changed following date changes in movies of Lionsgate, which will now be releasing Jet Li-Jason Statham action flick War on August 24. Another reason for shifting the release date was that movies released in the week before Labor Day tend to have a 31 percent higher earning that those released after Labor Day.   However speculations are that the release was shifted so that the film faces lesser competition from other flicks. TWC distribution Chief Steve Bunnell insisted that it was a move just because it would give the film a better playtime.   “It’s clearly better playtime. A Texas recording company exec bought two of Anna Nicole Smith’s diaries for $59,750. The diaries failed to sell recently, but then were put up for sale by Heritage Auction Galleries of Dallas with a minimum bid of $25,000. The diaries are from 1992 and 1994. File this under albums that I have been meaning to write about but have been listening too frequently. Boris Skalsky, formerly of the band Phaser is back as Dead Heart Bloom for his second solo effort. And I have to say, this acoustic based effort is really right up my alley. Boris continues to write excellent music, but with the more rootsy sounds seems to fit him much better. We have gotten some e-mails inquiring about the recommend diaries at the top of the page being stuck. Basically, they are stuck because no one is voting or recommending diaires to go to the top. If you don’t know how to do this, just look at the bottom of each diary post and you will see a button that says, “vote to send this to the main page.” Just click on it and your vote will be registered. If a diary gets enough votes it will automatically go to the top of the page. When the diary is at the top of the page it can still be voted on to send it to the main (center) column. If a recommended diary gets enough votes it will automatically move to the main column. This has never really caught on, but in essence we gave all the diarists the ability to dictate what ends up in the main column. You choose it by voting on it. If you don’t vote on the diaries then the posts just get stuck at the top and never rotate, kinda like our current political situation. So if
