We enjoyed Dinner at one of our quaint restaurants in Dexter VillageThe Bistro Renaissance opened July 2007 for dinner.  It is located at8093 Main Street Dexter, Michigan  48130 (734) 426-4200.  They feature casual elegant dining, with classic French and Italian influences.  The fresh bread was good. And the pear salad was divine.  I chose the veal, mushrooms, and asparagus with a glass of champagne. I was very happy with that selection.  My husband said the beef was excellent. He finished his meal with a perfect crème brulee and a Spanish coffee.  Our server, Lisa was very professional and quick. Dexter, 2x10: There's Something About HarryBuen episodio otra vez esta semana, de nuevo sobresaliente. Quizás no a la altura de los dos anteriores (y sobre todo del 2x08), pero siempre muy por encima del sobresaliente.Esta vez toca lidiar con la nueva situación creada pero, como no podía ser de otro modo, hay más que lo que se podría esperar y, esta vez, tenemos muchas cosas de la raíz del personaje, que se retuerce sobre sí misma. Maybe this is old news for some, but this is actually really good news for all of us Dexter fans. Episode 8 of Dexter has now broken the record of the most-watched episode ever for a Showtime series. This is what Hollywood Reporter says about it: “This marks the most-watched episode ever for a Showtime series, with the 1.23 million single-airing haul surpassing the previous record of “Soul Food,” which drew 1.21 million in 2004. “ Good news for all of us. The popularity of Dexter increases and with this popularity we will probably see more seasons of Dexter in the future. Nice!

Doakes chase for Dexter continues in Haiti, and he tries to do everything out of the reach of Miami PD, but now Lundy has him as the suspect. Nice twist indeed. Now Dexter is off the radar and Doakes is the suspect. The ending of the episode where Doakes finally caught Dexter and where Dexter locks Doakes up was a nice twist. With Doakes as the Miami PD suspect, but locked up by wounded Dexter - how will Lundy find out the truth? How will Dexter get away with it? Can Dexter kill a good man like Doakes, or can he just kill bad guys? The last upcoming episodes will tell us. During the previous episode (S02E08) Dexter finally realized how disturbed Lila really is, and in this episode Dexter is trying to get back to Rita, but as usual with Dexter, things don’t go as he wants to. The upcoming episode of Dexter, this time called “Resistance is futile” will be aired tomorrow, and they will get closer and closer to Dexter. Doakes are now really close to find out the truth about Dexter, but is he digging to deep? The two sneak peaks and the promo of episode 9 gives us some spoilers, but they falsely give us the feeling that Dexter will get caught by Lundys crew. I think we will see a new twist of this where Doakes will be taken for the Bay Harbor Butcher. They willnever end this season with Dexter getting caught, so what’s the alternative? I can’t find any other way then Dexter fix this by putting everything on Doakes… Only time will tell. - Dexter, 2x08: Morning ComesLa única serie sin altibajos y sin problemas de nada (ni de calendario, ni de guión...) sigue adelante con el mejor paso posible: un episodio antológico y genial, el mejor de la temporada y el inicio de una cuesta abajo vertiginosa hacia el final. Es complicado decir mucho más sin dejar caer spoilers pero digamos que las cosas se acaloran mucho en este episodio y que las cosas se ponen muy mal para el protagonista. Mientras tanto, el resto de personajes sigue con sus propios problemas y sus propias iniciativas, que van a dar para mucho. Cambios y evolución, pero todo con lógica, una lógica que asusta y gusta a partes iguales. He vuelto a ver los dos primeros episodios de la primera temporada: los que dejaron de verla después de la primera temporada (sólo dios sabe por qué), deberían de revisar esta segunda temporada porque, no quería creerlo, la serie ha mejorado, pero mucho. [If you haven´t seen episode 8 there might be some spoilers below] First of all, this episode was great, really great. The last episode was in comparison pretty average. Good then to see that this episode had it all: The old school darkly dreaming Dexter, the ruthless Doakes, Lundy getting closer to the truth and Lila more crazy than ever. All the ingredients for making a good Dexter episode. Hopefully it will stay this way the upcoming four episodes of season 2 as well. I start with a quote from this episode, from Dexter’s mind: “It seems my manifesto unintentionally helped Lundy narrow his focus. That’s what I get trying for emulating Lila and take the offensive. I’ve always worked best in the shadows, that’s where I have to stay.” It’s good to see that Dexter finally sees the dark side of Lila and gets back to his real darkly murderous Dexter that we know and love. Before i comment last nights episode of Dexter (S02E08) there is now a new episode of the Dark Defender online. This episode covers the old killing of Ken Olsson, the copycat Bay Harbor Butcher. Pretty good as always, but as always I want to see more episodes. I don’t know what the problem is actually, but it seems to take some time before the episodes come out and they always cover pretty old killings. I would like them to produce more episodes, and also about killings by Dexter we haven’t seen before. Nonetheless, here is the new episode:

It’s time for another Dexter episode S02E08, and for what I’ve seen in the sneak peaks (embedded below) it will get more and more interesting. They don’t say too much actually but one thing is absolutely sure, Lundy is getting closer to the truth. But the promo is interesting. There you will see some more clips that can look like spoilers. Tensions between Dexter and Lila begins to rise and Doakes continues hiss search for the real dark Dexter. And now we also know that Dexter will start to kill again. Nice! That probably also means that they will put up a new Dark Defender Episode online. The producers have been pretty slow with this, and they only got two episodes live, i don’t get that. They could launch new episodes every week, people like them and they are perfect promotion for the series. I am finally all caught up on DEXTER, and it’s so nice to see that Dexter is still as brilliant in the second season as it was in the first. I do have to say though that I am not sure I like the direction Dexter (the character) is taking in his life. In season one, he was, how can we say… more tamed, in the second season it seems like he is letting some of his wild side out, and I blame Lila for this. I want Rita back in the picture is all I’m saying. Dexter was a “good boy” with her. Of course, I understand that we need the character to evolve, but as always I resist change. What can I say, I like my comfort zones. That is not to say that I am not enjoying the new Dexter and I am actually looking forward to see how far they will let him go this season. - Dexter, 2x07: That Night, A Forest GrewMejorando el episodio anterior, hoy tenemos un episodio muy bueno (la verdad es que no hay ningún episodio malo, ni siquiera menos que sobre saliente, así que ya soy muy exigente: pero da igual, porque no hacen más que buenos episodios) y que es especialmente importante por algunas cosas que ocurren y por algunas cosas que descubrimos. Además, este episodio es una muestra clara de porqué la serie es buena: aunque el protagonista es genial y es el protagonista absoluto, todos los personajes "secundarios" evolucionan cerca y lejos de él, tienen vida propia y se mueven y actúan como personajes autónomos, lo cual hace que la serie tenga una riqueza sorprendente.
