Love these impersonators...This guy Sammy Ligouri impersonates Robert Deniro and randomly Columbo. That Columbo impersonation looks like its pretty ridiculous to see in person, I might have to book him. I wouldnt know if it were an actual impersonation or just some weird guy with one eye open who just got a large object shoved up his ass. He's got the partial Deniro-sour face smile going on at least...Just look at the real Deniro pulling it off.
The announcement that De Niro is set to star in Frankie Machine with Michael Mann rumored to direct had me running to the bookstore looking for the source material. The film is based on The Winter of Frankie Machine, a novel by Don Winslow. I picked up the book and devoured it, keeping in mind Mann’s new digitized visual style and De Niro as the lead.

The Nobu chain was a result of De Niro meeting Nobuyuki Matsuhisa at the chef’s first U.S. restaurant in Los Angeles.

Nobu started as a business partnership in 1994 between De Niro, Matsuhisa, Richie Notar and Hollywood producer Meir Teper. The first restaurant opened in New York. The chain now has locations across the world, from Italy to the Bahamas. They just opened a restaurant in Melbourne, Australia (August 2007).
