Apparently Canadians favour tax breaks for being good environmentalists over giving tax breaks to everyone, including people who do nothing to protect the environment, by using less energy, for instance.But why attach party names to a poll that's not about parties but about two different approaches to cutting taxes? The only reason I can think of is to further the notion that the Liberals care about the environment and the Conservatives don't. But Decima, for some idiotic reason, decided to poll Canadians right when the convention was happening, right when the Liberals were being featured on the TV set talking about how great their party is going to be, and the Conservatives were shoved to the side for a few days.As professional pollsters, don't they realize that they'll get a higher than expected Liberal number? And if they know that, why do a poll? Just for fun? This is the state of political polling in Canada, unfortunately.
