Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final of the Harry Potter novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The book was released on 21 July 2007, ending the series that began in 1997 with the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. This book chronicles the events directly following Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005), and leads to the long-awaited

Starred Review. Potter fans, relax—this review packs no spoilers. Instead, we're taking advantage of our public platform to praise Rowling for the excellence of her plotting. We can't think of anyone else who has sustained such an intricate, endlessly inventive plot over seven thick volumes and so constantly surprised us with twists, well-laid traps and Purloined Letter-style tricks. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series of novels by J. K. Rowling. The book title was announced on December 21, 2006 via a special Christmas-themed hangman puzzle on Rowling's website and confirmed shortly afterwards by the book's publishers. Rowling has stated that the final volume relates so closely to the previous book in the series, Harry

A few days ago some of us met together and had a drink or two and a chat. We'd all been shopping and had evidence of our various expeditions in a mixture of carrier bags. Mine was the least inspiring, containing household electric light fitments and a replacement halogen bulb. Someone else had a Harry Potter boxed set, in what looked like a replica Hogwart's trunk. We all agreed this was the most impressive shopping item amongst us - admittedly it was a present too. Then we got to talking about the last Harry Potter book and that the film company have decided to make it into two films because it is such a long book. Whilst perhaps slightly exploitative, I suppose the Harry Potter books have created such a buzz with both readers and viewers alike, that so long as they make both halves well

Muchas gracias The Leaky Cauldron.
Esperemos que JKRowling.com también actualice pronto.

¿Por qué Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows y no Harry Potter?
Felicidades Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! The Tales of Beedle the Bard
¿Salamandra where are you?

Chapter 1 The Dark Lord Ascending The two men appeared out of nowhere, a few yards apart in the narrow, moonlit lane. For a second they stood quite still, wands directedat each other’s chests; then, recognizing each other , theystowed their wands beneath their cloaks and started walking briskly in thesame direction.“News?” asked the taller of the two.”The best,” replied Severus Snape. The lane was bordered on the left by wild, low-growing brambles, on theright by a high, nearly manicured hedge. The men’s long cloaks flapped aroundtheir ankles as they marched.“Thought I might be late,” said Yaxley, his blunt features sliding in and outof sight as the branches of overhanging tress broke the moonlight. “It wasa little trickier than I expected. But I hope he will be satisfied. You shouldconfident that your reception will be good?”Snape nodded, but did not elaborate. They turned right, into a wide drivewaythat led off the lane. The high hedge curved into them, running
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows traducido al “chino”(mandarín) va a salir a finales de Octubre 2007.

As the release of the final installment of JK Rowling’s compelling seven-part novel on Harry Potter, who as a child was the only person to survive a Voltermort attack, fulfills his destiny with the help of his closest friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley and some of the unexpected peripheral characters like Neville Longbottom, who is responsible for destroying the final Horcrux.
Rowling ends the series well, but this installment had some problems, mostly in too many loose ends left hanging from numerous plot diversions, without resolution. However, the main themes were completed. Realistically, it would have been impossible for her to have tied up everything in this last installment and, such as life, loose ends often occur. Part of their resolution is recognition they won’t ever be resolved.
Part of the problem was that she introduced new plot lines in the last book when The Deathly Hallows was meant to resolve the things that occurred in the six previous installme
The final installement of the Harry Potter series really needs little extra comment online from me, but as the rules of this blog require me to record this completed novel, I will make a few brief points. Other blogs have commented on the massive marketing machine that has accompanied this book, however, such a machine can only promote a book to a certain extent. The truth is of course that
Consider this one big fat spoiler alert.A few readers have asked The Sci Fi Catholic to reconsider its position regarding a certain ethical issue in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I've never known Snuffles the Dragon to alter his opinion once he's stated it, so I decided I would send this question through the whole family and see how they address it. Here is what I found--Finding Snuffles was not difficult. As usual, he was sitting in his room eating Oreos and watching anime when I approached him with the possibility of modifying his statement. Spitting bits of chocolate cookie, here's what he said:Snuffles the Dragon: What part of assisted suicide don't you understand? If you're not still freaking out about me writing spoilers on your precious little blog, let's look at exactly what the book says, why don't we? Here's the offending passage:"If you don't mind dying," said Snape roughly, "why not let Draco do it?""That boy's soul is not yet so damaged," said Dumbledore.
With an epidemic of dengue fever sweeping most of SE Asia at the moment, it's a timely reminder to be vigilant against these little critters. More than 1100 people have died in Indonesia alone from this outbreak and tens of thousands have been infected.
And while most of the world's population won't come in contact with this disease there are other viruses that mosquitoes carry that have the potential to kill or, at least, severely harm.
Although there have been a few reported cases of dengue fever and malaria contracted in the tropical north of Australia, most of our attention is on the Ross River and Barmah Forest viruses. While neither are deadly, the impact they make on a victim's life can be excruciating.
Even the US is not exempt from these viruses. Mosquito-borne diseases such as the West Nile virus and the possible infiltration of Rift Valley fever are both deadly. The UK also struggles with the West Nile virus and reported cases of Ross River and Barmah Forest.

Well, I just put the 7th and final (?) Harry Potter novel on the shelf next to the first six books. I wanted to write a review that was a bit different, so I’ve decided to review it purely from a writing point of view.
J.K. Rowling is certainly a skilled writer. She has created a world full of characters who are loved world-wide. Most of the previous novels followed a similar formula. The stories usually took place over the school year at Hogwarts. Rowling has broken this formula, since deem it necessary to have most of the action take place off school grounds. Without giving too much away, Harry is on the run and needs to figure out how to destroy the Dark Lord.
Pacing
The novels pacing is a subject of much discussion by readers. The novel starts off with a bang but somewhat sags in the middle. This is somewhat understandable since the characters know what they have to do, but clearly have no idea where to start. Much of the middle section of the novel revolves around the charac

I didn't get the book until Monday morning when I showed up for work. Danielle, the sweetheart, picked up my reserved copy when she stopped in to get hers. Since I was out of town on vacation this worked very well for me. Of course, I must admit I spent most of Saturday and Sunday lamenting over the fact that I would have to wait to start it after most everyone I know had already finished it.

Yes, the polls are saying it and the Onion have proof that Harry Potter is going to be Date Raped in the new book. This is certainly a very very sad thing.

First the things I did not like about the book:
First and foremost, I did not like how Ron, Harry and Hermione spent most of the first half of the book wandering around the woods, unsure what to do. When I think about it, I think it would have been more interesting had she written it in a different way. How about they had a base of operations somewhere, and were working with the Order, or the other Hogwarts kids, and finding information on the Horcruxes? How come Harry was so adamant about keeping them secret, maybe they could have found them faster, or more efficiently, had they told a few others and gotten some help? Harry was old enough to start making his own decisions, it seemed like it would be wise to enlist some more help. Just because Volde

*WARNING, may contain spoilers for those who haven’t finished/read the book
I awaited with no small amount of anticipation the release of book seven in the Harry Potter series, I was so intent that I was going to have this book that back in February when they began to take pre-orders I placed my order the very first day!
In retrospect I needn’t have worried, when a medical necessity made it necessary for me to go to our local “Wally world” Saturday I realized the company that printed the book made sure there was plenty to go around.. for there right in front of this frustrated reader was a huge stack of the long anticipated book.. and mine was still on order.
We have for so long wondered who would die, everyone ask so often would it be Harry? Rowling had made the enigmatic comment that some main characters would die and it became difficult not to just grab a copy and flip to the last page just to see. But I forced myself not to touch that book. I made it safely out of the store
Stop, you're both right.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling. Harry Potter, book 7. Scholastic (Harrisonburg, VA): 2007. 759 pages. $34.99. ISBN-13: 478-0-545-01022-1, ISBN-10: 0-545-01022-5.Your local dragon blogger now finds himself in an interesting predicament: it is still the weekend of this novel's release, which has occurred with much hype, expectancy, and trepidation. In respect to all the fans, D. G. D. has instructed me in no uncertain terms that I must not discuss the plot in any detail until some weeks have passed. After he gets out of traction, maybe he'll be able to enforce that little rule; but at any rate, I too have some respect for Harry Potter fans, and so I am now going to attempt to honor his wishes in spite of my usual attempts to do otherwise. So, to be as vague as possible, first point: all the plot threads are tied up. Yes, all of them. All I remember, anyway. Rowling ties up loose threads with such skill that half the time you may not know w
Price Listed: $17.99 on Amazon.com May be more depending on the storePages: 759 I got my hands on this book July 21st and read it all the way through as most Harry Potter fans have done. I was not disappointed. In this book Harry becomes 'of age', which, in the Wizarding World, is 17 instead of 18 in our 'Muggle' (non-magic) world. At this age all protection and charms given to him from his dying mother warding off the greatest wizard of all time, Lord Voldemort, is ended. And this leaves Harry an open target for Voldemort. So all kinds of bad guys are out to get him, and throughout this book, Harry must escape being captured by them. The last book explains that there was a prophesy made, that Harry must be the one to kill or be killed by Voldemort. It ended with Harry making plans to destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes. A Horcrux is an object that someone can put a part of their soul into, making it difficult to kill that person. Harry starts this book out on the que
Wow! The country is once again going crazy over Harry. No surprises, since this is the final book in the series. I’ve actually been a fan of Harry Potter since the second book was released. I had never heard of Harry, until I saw a copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, prominently displayed at my local bookstore. I was kind of surprised to see a fantasy book displayed in the front of the store. The title and the cover art got my attention, so I picked it up and leafed through it. A few days later, I purchased the first book in the series, and have been reading about Harry ever since.
Since I’m a bit of a slacker, I still have yet to pick up a copy of the new book. I’m currently reading Beowulf by Seamus Heaney, and plan to read Grendel by John Gardner next. After I’m through those, I will probably make time for Harry.
Since so many people are lining up to buy the new Potter book, I was curious as to how many copies were flying off the shelves. While

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)
I expected a lot from this book. I nearly skipped to the car a few minutes after midnight with Lady Rose and my 2 girls and we started reading immidiately. We read one chapter outloud to my youngest and I read another 4 on my own before, grudgingly, going to bed.
I completed the book today, slower than I usually would as I kept going back to re-read passages to simply savor them. While not every loose end was tied up I was satisfied with the conclusion. And while some may say that certain aspects of the plot seen contrived, or worse yet trite, I am not one of them.
The big questions get answered. You end the book knowing more about the characters that you love, hate, or love to hate. I cried more than I thought I would, but I also grinned more, and gasped out loud more. I was engrossed and enraptured during the entire read. I enjoyed every moment of the book and plan to spend a portion of tomorrow, when I am not doing h
One thing I have learned: even when the big bookstores are offering Harry Potter on pre-order only, you can always count on the supermarkets to have them in stock. So, I get home from the grocery store with my coveted copy of the latest novel under my arm, ready to drop everything and begin reading. I open the door, but Snuffles somehow knew I would find a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows while I was out. He was clinging to the ceiling Spider-Man-style right above the door, and as soon as I was inside, he jumped me!I got a number of scratches, some of them bad, but I can under ordinary circumstances fight Snuffles off. This time, however, both Frederick the Unicorn and Phenny the Phoenix rushed me from the sides. I was soon pinned, and Phenny was even standing over me doing his flame-in-the-air trick, something he uses only when trying to intimidate someone."Frederick? Phenny?" I gasped. "Since when do you guys team up with Snuffles?""Listen, cheesecake," Snuffles said, "you
The final volume of Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling is finally here and creates bigger frenzy among the fans more than ever. Amazingly enough, the book became a best seller even before the book was officially released for sale.
Few hours ago, a radio news stated that a kid almost drowned after jumping into a lake when his copy of the latest Harry Potter’s book receipt fell into the lake. Thousands of people were also seen camping outside of the Waterstones Bookstore in London while here in Malaysia, MPH and Popular Bookstore do not sell the books to public and the book is only available to those who made pre-bookings.
Kudos to JK Rowling who has successfully elevated the reading habit into a completely new level. Few know the humble beginning of this writer, who before the release of her very first Harry Potter book, was a struggling mother and an unemployed living on welfare.

Its 6.00am on a Saturday morning and the outside grounds would probably still be damp from the heavy rains that was pouring earlier. Some of the lights from the neighbouring apartments were already litted. Downstairs, at the opposite block, a wedding banquet was underway.
Inside unit #03-159, there were already movements in the apartment. Pearl was taking her morning beauty spruce with her shower. Pato was getting the gears ready. There were silence apart from the eye contact and smiles. At the background, faint sounds from the radio of Warna FM94.2 could be heard.
Outside, the morning cool breeze was so tempting to get us back into our bed covers and fluffy pillows. "Wouldn't it be nice to go back into bed and snuggle in comfort". These words has been playing in our minds eversince we both dragged our feet to the sound of Pato's "Ah Beng hokkien song" on his Sony Erricsson used for the alarm clock. But, a mission needs to be accomplis
Harry Potter and the Deathly HallowsBy J.K. RowlingReviewed by Alice Fordham Death and vengeance hang over this book from the outset.Readers know that this is the last episode and that resolution will come only with heavy losses, besides which Rowling has hinted strongly at a bloodbath. As a consequence, the first hundred pages will be turned with whitened knuckles, and Rowling ruthlessly exploits this belly-gripping anxiety. The opening chapter introduces us not to our beloved heroes, but to Voldemort, massing his forces, humiliating and murderous as ever. The first scene of action and danger is a spectacular stunt, involving no fewer than 15 of the good guys in mortal peril. It is testament to Rowling’s gifts that her readers know, love and will be able to recite the family history of all 15 - and would be sorry to see them go.Every casualty - fretted about by millions for the last two years - has great impact and bad news, of which there is plenty, comes at moments of high drama. You know, I wasn't paying much attention when I was typing the title and nearly typed it as Harry Potter and the Deadly Harrods. I'm sure if I've a chance to visit UK, Harrods will indeed be deadly to me, or more specifically, to my pocket.Spoilers. I think most people belong to two camps when it comes to spoilers. They're either of the "spoil me and I'll skin you alive with my bare hands and k33l j00 d3ad" variety or the "meh, who cares? I've more important things to think about such as is that a pimple on my face?" sort. I belong to both and neither. When it comes to television, I love to be spoiled. In fact, I stalk Television Without Pity on a regular basis. Well, this is mostly because we usually get US TV shows months after they've been shown. Sometimes whole seasons have ended before we get to watch them on TV. The only shows screened live are the scripted reality shows and I'm not a fan of those. Ok, I used to watch American Idol but I stopped when I realised Sim
