I enjoy playing the carnival game Let It Ride. I know, bad odds but its fun. So I don’t play the side bets, Bonus or 3-card bet because I feel these are sucker bets and the house has big enough odds against me without adding to it. But every time I would have won at [...]
David Cameron has revealed his much commented upon centre-parting at last week's prime minister's questions was the result of wearing a bike helmet. Mr Cameron, who normally parts his hair to one side, had a new look for the clash with Gordon Brown on Wednesday. The global News Terrorists Team has to ask itself if this is another example of Tory Leader and his policies moving left of centre????
Thanks to Syl for bringing this to our attention.
An article in the Korea Times has surfaced with the dire news that HanbitSoft has sold 2/3’s of its company to a relatively unknown company due to “the companies sharing the same vision.” Riiight. Here are some highlights of the article:

There he goes again… John McCain piously pandering to the MSM (main stream media), and “soccer moms” who simply don’t have the time or inclination to do the hard work of finding the truth on a given issue.
This time his pandering was on so-called man-made global warming and the environment. This from Reuters:

Lovely, aren’t they? These are just a few of the wonderful designs that Olivier Theyskens, one of my favorite working designers, did for Rochas over the last five years. I was completely in love with Theysken’s work for this house, which originally opened in 1925. There was a quiet elegance and a [...]
-Day 104-You know what I learned this weekend? That I can't trust you guys! You told me the wedding would suck and I'd cry all night while hiding under the table! You lied to me! Here I trusted you and instead you abused our friendship and exploited my anti-social fears. You should be ashamed of yourselves! What? You thought I'd take the blame for building up the dreaded wedding and then actually enjoying it? Then you don't know me very well!.It began shaky when Andy introduced me to his coworker:"Bee this is the other Andy, this is my wife"I shook his hand and said "Wow! I bet it's not annoying to keep getting called 'the other Andy'!"SILENCE! No, not silence, I could hear crickets chirping..Hey man, if I hit a nerve, say so! man up and tell people you don't like being in my Andy's shadow!
A UK government survey shows that many food and drink firms are unaware of new environmental laws. The fast pace of change in UK environmental laws are leaving many small food and drink manufacturers unaware of legislation, according to a government commissioned survey. With green initiatives a hot topic among consumers, companies risk alienating customers [...]
Some folks are paying dearly because they don't know a few simple things. I'll show a few things that you should know in other to save more or make certain adjustments. This article does not pretend to show you all you need to know in auto insurance (That will take a fairly long book). However, it's a good starting point or refresher. Here we go...1. All professions are not equal -- At least from the auto insurance viewpoint. Scientists, for example, pay a lot less than business owners. Ask your agent if your occupation attracts certain discounts.2. Those that live in crowded areas are more likely to have one form of car accident or another when compared to people who live in rural sparsely populated areas. If you can live in a rural area you'll get the best rates possible for your profile
A strange thing happened while my blog fell silent these past few months. I began receiving emails from international spots from around the globe. It wasn't just a few, it was a LOT, as much as four or five a week. Regrettably, I deleted most of them, but the basic thread of these emails were the same. Filthy, rich, Christians with a few months to spare in life, wanting to unload their funds upon a genuine Christian who would use it for charity. In these emails, they implore you for honesty and secrecy for whatever reason they choose. They ask for your personal contact information. Eventually, (as I found out through research, not through personal experience) they will ask for a fee to paid to transport these large sums of money, which of course, you will never receive.I'm sure some of you have received emails such as these and have deleted them on the spot. The first several times I did so, but then began to wonder just how in the world did they find my email address, and why am I r
Richard Nixon is as well known for his Southern Strategy as he isfor Watergate, the secret bombing of Cambodia, and the burglary ofDemocratic Headquarters at Watergate. Nixon's Southern Strategy turneda solid Democratic South into GOP occupied territory. It was not, however, a simple appeal to bigotry that did it. It required theDemocrats do what was right while Nixon strategists plotted what waswrong. They succeeded. GOP appeals to hatred and prejudice arewell-practiced by now.Nevertheless, I am less appalled than surprised to find in the US a level of hatefulness that we dared hope had been laid to rest in the battlefields of the Civil War. In Monroe,LA, for example, I found in the only large bookstore in town, a hugesection devoted to various Civil War books, most of which dealt withhow the South had been betrayed. Across town, just a stone's throw bybig city standards is the Civil War Cemetary, a more sobering reminderof tragedy. Farther afield, down the road is Vicksburg, MSwhere
We are gathered here today to say goodbye to a cuddly little friend we called Mia. Mia was a fat little furry friend who enjoyed running for hours on her wheel, nibbling corn from our finger tips and gathering every bit of bedding from her cage into one tiny corner.
She loved to pee on Coffeegirls big sister, not once allowing her to hold her without tinkling on her shirt, lap or hand.

Is the grass always greener on the other side, or do you just not see the green you are in?There are days I am so tired, tired of being a mom. Toys that are left on the floor, seem like such a big burden. Spilled milk I could literally cry over, because it's the millionth time. No matter how good or bad I do, the same stuff happens day in and out. It's a battle to keep up, to stay ahead. It's a battle to smile every time they are being silly or calling each other silly names like poo poo head or something, in which I do not condone, but don't stop it either, until they continue on and on about how they will squeeze each others head off and poop will fly. There are days I loathe being the "servant" No matter how much I love to serve, and be the one who does it all, I want my own damn butler server person too. I cook 4 meals a day most days, breakfast lunch and dinner for the kids and sometimes me. Then the 4th meal for G at midnight when he gets home, if we didn't really have enoug

If you took a straw poll at the Viator offices, I reckon the Dearly Departed tours in Los Angeles would rank among the most popular we offer, anywhere.
The reason? Partly it’s that fantastic mug shot of Hugh Grant. And partly it’s the concept of the tour itself: a 2-1/2 hour romp across Hollywood in a ‘Tomb Buggy’ tracking down gruesome, ghastly and notorious episodes in Tinsel Town history. From the Manson murders to George Michael’s favorite LA public restroom, from Sunset Boulevard to the last-gasp locations of Frank Sinatra, River Phoenix, Dee Dee Ramone, Bela Lugosi… how cool is that!
So we tracked down the founder and driving force behind the tours, Scott Michaels, and asked him a few questions about Los Angeles, the Golden Era of Hollywood, and some of the funny (as in strange) things he’s encountered over the years.
Viator: What’s the most gruesome episode or event you cover in your tours?
Scott Michaels: P
After years of searching, my husband found the one and had to have her. I didn't get a chance to snap some pictures of his new mistress before he whisked her off to a safe location. He's in the process of building her home in our backyard, and it is viciously cold outside, so she rests in the garage of close friends. He will bring her home in a couple of days, and we will both love her sweetly.
