A day after it was announced that “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” would start the season with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton as guest, “The Tyra Banks Show” said it will feature an interview with Democratic hopeful Sen. Barack Obama.
The segment with the Illinois Democrat will be taped Sept. 27 here in New York. The airdate has yet to be revealed, but a spokeswoman said it’s targeted for about a week after the interview.
DeGeneres’ sitdown with Clinton will be taped Aug. 31 and air Sept. 4 at 11 a.m. on WNBC/Ch. 4.

As usual for Thursdays, I went to my trainer to work out. I thought we would do legs today, but we did arms. Maybe my trainer wasn't bluffing, and we'll never ever do legs ever again. That would be just awful. Maybe next time I'll just tell him that my arms hurt also, and we can spend the whole 30 minutes eating bonbons, and laughing, and talking of memories past. I got there early, so while C was working out, I did the treadmill, and looked out the window at babes at the pool. There was some older woman who had a fair amount of cellulite on her legs, but I like that. She had quite a low cut bikini top on, and was showing some decent cleavage, so that was fairly nice to see. There was also some fat kid at the pool, who was nuzzling up to some woman that he was with. It was hard to see from my angle and distance, but if I didn't know any better, I would say that it was a family member. It just didn't seem like a girlfriend. I was watching the Daytime Emmys rather halfheartedly, when I heard a voice (a rather piercing one) coming from the audience. OMG it was Rach in an unbelievably revealing gown. At first I was shocked and then I thought, good for her - she's not in Kansas anymore, or even Albany. Designer Karen LaPorte has been crafty since childhood, but it was the discovery of fashion magazines as a teenager that made her realize this was what she wanted to do with her life. “It was a way to express myself and my horizons expanded,” Karen says. “It was like traveling.” This Maine native did end up traveling - from New York to Europe and back again. Neighbours is a cheesy daytime soap opera that is made and shown in Australia but is actually bigger here in the UK. It’s shown twice a day on BBC1, at 1.30pm and 5.30pm and has been for 10 years or so. That’s why there was shock here this week when an episode was shown which supposedly shows one of the young characters referring to another character as “Paul f**king Robinson“. The clip is above and I’ve watched it a number of times, and to me it is as clear as day they are saying the F word in all it’s sinful glory! Even taking in to account the affected Australian accent, I still think it’s the full on swear word rather than a less obtuse version. There has been speculation it’s ‘Fricking‘ or ‘Fecking‘ but not for me, no way Jose. Which begs the question of how did it get past those editors and arbiters of good taste the BBC?

I found myself having to catch a bus last week, the second week of the children's school summer holiday. I was instructed to take my son to his Grandma's house and with my wife having the car it left me with no choice but to do something that I hadn't done for over twenty years - take the bus.The 188 from Weymouth to Poole. I was to get on from the stop at the end of my road which wasn't too far away from the town but a little too far to walk.My son and I reached the stop ten minutes before aforementioned bus was due. Forty minutes later it still hadn't turned up so I got on the number 92 which stated, Poole. On we jumped - I asked if he went all the way to Poole. No, he said, I don't. Well it says "Poole" on the destination board, I stated. It says India on the tyres, he replied, but I'm buggered if I'm going there (Okay, the old ones are the best) - yes, of course I'm going to Poole. ?1.35 for you, half fare for the boy. It was just 14 pence the last time I went on
