      Avert a Valentine's Day Massacre
The dreaded V-day is only two weeks away. And you haven't got the slightest clue what to get for that special someone. You could risk getting the cold shoulder that day (and in bed for the next week or so), or you can take a hint from MenScience on these last-minute, easy-on-the-wallet gifts that will score points and won't make you vomit from cuteness (believe us, your significant other doesn't want that four- foot-tall teddy bear either).1. Make a CD of your favorite songs that at least make a passing reference to love. Yes, your partner may hate your taste in music, but there's no way she's going to turn down a mix you lovingly crafted for her with your own little hands.2. A surprise trip to Barbados. Okay, we had to throw that one in.3. Waited too long to book an exotic getaway? Turn

Quick Hits: Orioles Lose to the Jays 5-3; Aftermath from the Mother's Day Massacre...
After being roasted badly for the last 24 hours on the internet, on sports talk radio and in print, Sammy Perlozzo and the Baltimore Orioles had a chance to redeem themselves.Too bad it will have to wait for another night. After being ineffective yesterday, Danys Baez piched again tonight and this time he gave up a 2-run homer to Troy Glaus as the Blue Jays won 5-3.Before he gave up the homer, he’d walked Frank Thomas.Erik Bedard started the game, as he went six innings, struck out seven and allowed three runs.On the positive side, Jay Gibbons homered, and Nick Markakis hit a 2-run homer. If you watched the entire game, did anyone notice the anger Jay Payton showed towards Melvin Mora (he tried to run to third, and it was botched) at the end after the conclusion of the game?Apparently, the two men nearly came to blows at the end of the game, and it looks like the vents of Sunday may have festered into Monday's game.Hopefully, the events of Monday will dissipate, and the O's can focus

Well, Check out the ESPN Page Two Tagline -- More on the Mother's Day Massacre, The Loss Yesterday...
(click on the image to see a larger picture - thanks to ESPN's Page Two)Sorry to add more insult to injury, but you have to check out ESPN's Page Two today. It's only been an hour and I broke my promise already.Hopefully ESPN 1300 and MASN does not sugarcoat what happened yesterday, or I swear to God I will scream and put what I really, really think about their alliance. I'll be paying special attention to the 'Anita Marks Show' today...Man, Sam Perlozzo should thank his lucky stars that he's in not in Baltimore, but in Canada, where people are generally super polite (heck, I was born there...)He'd better not check the internet either, at least for a week, or until the next extended winning streak.

More on the Game Yesterday -- The O's Loss to the Red Sox, aka, the "Mother's Day Massacre"...
Well, at some point we have to cut our losses, and move on. Considering there is another baseball game in 5 hours, and from the looks of things, we're still in second, it's time to turn the page.I'd like to hear what Sam Perlozzo and the other members of the Orioles have to say about yesterday. I have heard and read very little from the team (understandably since yesterday), but a loss like this will linger. Before we officially move on, you have to read the Sun's Roch Kubatko's post on his blog, Roch Around the Clock titled "Still Reeling".In light of everything yesterday, the vast majority of Red Sox fans actually feel very sorry for us, believe or not.Unless someone has some more to add, or I hear something that's so off the wall that I need to respond to, I'll keep my comments to a minimum about yesterday. Before I go, check out Oriole Magic's Heather Irvin review of the series against the Blue Jays...

The Game Yesterday: The Mother's Day Massacre...
Looking on the internet right now, it sounds like there’s a ground swell of support for Sam being canned. I’m not about to jump on the train — yet; however, the philosophy of this organization must change or this team will be doomed. Right now, I am sure things must be tough for the Black and Orange, and perhaps this loss can be forgotten purged quick from our memory with a wining streak. I cannot continue to see things with rose colored glasses, but this loss will be remembered for a long, long time. I have not listened to the radio yet, and will do so in the morning, but I can imagine a lot will be said. I read the Sun this evening, and a lot of stuff I read bothered me. Here are three quotes below I’d like you to read… "Me and Tim Wakefield looked at each other on the bench in the ninth inning when they took Guthrie out, and we said, 'We're going to win this game,'" said Red Sox starter Josh Beckett, who allowed two runs in four innings before leaving w

St. Valentine’s Day Massacre: Part Two
I had a call from Uncle Joseph this morning. He said some people went and made us “Link of The Day” on their website. Perhaps now we’ll show greater numbers the true meaning of salvation. This move would put us right up there with legendary icons of the twentieth century. Great spiritual leaders like Charles Manson, Jim Jones and Michael Jackson. Speaking of Michael Jackson; I don’t care if he is black or white. That singer raised the bar for charity work when it came to helping the needy children of this world. I love Michael. If only I could (more…)

St. Valentine’s Day Massacre: Part One
Today, Uncle Joseph insisted that I travel to Norfolk and get an interview with Bernard Matthew for the website. He was originally going there himself although he’s also been working on a sermon for this Sunday and the Lord’s work does take priority in his home. Uncle Joseph said that he required some quality thinking time alone with his nature videos. Apparently, it helps him relax which I guess is the reason he kept asking me to shut the door. It seemed a little weird I guess but not as strange as what Aunt Judith was doing. Firstly, she didn’t have any clothes on. Also, she had this funny stick on her crotch. I’m not sure why but it looked like it was covered in some kind of meat paste. But Aunt Judith is very ambidextrous, a talent only housewives and video gamers seem to possess. Besides, I just figured it helped (more…)
