While it’s true that we’ve wished death on the Dave Matthews Band of hippies for over a decade—we meant it in a metaphorical sense. Today, we’re sad to report that DMB saxophonist LeRoi Moore has died at age 46 as a result of injuries sustained during an ATV accident in June.

I don't know how many of you are Dave Matthews Band fans, but regardless, you should all see them live. I just got back from their show in Hershey where they played for 3 hours (2 1/2 hours, a 5 minute break, and then a 1/2 hour encore) and it was, definitively, the best concert I have ever seen. Here was the set list (off of DMB's website):

Mere days before the Dave Matthews Band sets out on its extensive 52-date North American summer tour (which begins on May 30th), keyboardist Butch Taylor, who has toured with the band since 2001, has decided to leave the group in a sudden and unexpected move.

Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine @ allmusic.com
The Dave Matthews Band made their reputation through touring, spending endless nights on the road improvising. Often, their records hinted at the eclecticism and adventure inherent in those improvisation, but Before These Crowded Streets is the first album to fully capture that adventurous spirit. Not coincidentally, it's their least
For jam-band enthusiasts, it's become something of an annual tradition. Like backyard barbecues, baseball and lazy days spent soaking up the sun, sand and surf, it just wouldn't be summer without Dave Matthews Band. That's because the band has consistently toured, summer after summer, since 1998. Likewise, the arrival of each spring usually brings with it a slew of amphitheater gigs. It's an unswerving pattern you could set your watch to.Of course, Dave Matthews isn't one to disappoint his loyal fans — meaning, this summer won't be any different. The rocker will crisscross the U.S. with his namesake band, packing them into one arena after another starting July 8 in Bridgeview, Illinois. The 36-show run will conclude with a two-night stand at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, which has been set for October 1 and 2.A host of support acts &$8212; including Stephen Marley, Guster, Xavier Rudd, Toots & the Maytals, Umphrey's McGee, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Pete Yorn,
