One can never have too much memory for their portable devices and Kingston has the answer to our needs. Kingston Technology Company, Inc. has unveiled its new product, the DataTraveler Micro Reader, which is a flash drive with panache. You can use it to read, store, and transfer content on your mobile memory cards. The DataTraveler has up to 4GB flash memory and an expansion card slot where you could insert your microSD, Micro, or microSDHC cards. It's also compatible with Windows ReadyBoost. You can easily transfer files using drag-and-drop action, making transfer of documents from PC or Mac and your memory cards painless. The preliminary 1GB version of the DataTraveler Micro Reader will ship this month for around US$19.25 while the 2GB ($28.25) and 4GB ($42.00) versions will follow suit.
The DataTraveler CRC which is a new version of Kingston’s DataTraveler CR has a built in card reader. The new model will support micro SD and Sony M2 cards and comes in sizes ranging from 1-4GB, it will again be available some time in Q1 of next year.
Kingston will also launch a new memory card reader which will be available in November. It has a new design and it will be compatible with standard memory card formats on the market apart from xD and SmartMedia from what we understand.

Kingston are forever updating and expanding their brand and this is even more so for the DataTraveler products, Kingston have just unveiled 2 more mini USB drives that go up to a nice size of 8GB built in storage.
Got to say these are good products and are totally happy with what they are producing. The first is the DataTraveler II Plus which arrives in 8GB for a nice sum of $154, it comes with Migo’s data synchronization software which means you are able to have a password protected access to up to date Outlook folders and quarterly reports.
The second USB drive is the DataTraveler 100 which has a cool retractable action mechanism, this USB 2.0 device is available in either 1GB, 2GB, 4GB or 8GB versions with prices start at $19 for the 1GB, $32 for the 2GB, $59 for the 4GB and $116 for the 8GB, these are great with Linux, Windows and even OS X.

Both USB flash drives might look pretty ordinary, but they are waterproof and can withstand harsh operating conditions.
Data security is not only offered in the physical sense as you also get hardware-based encryption to safeguard critical data in the event you lose the drive.

Kingston seems well prepared with the launch of their DataTraveler ReadyFlash, which appears to be a regular 1 or 2GB USB 2.0 drive with a 5/3MBps read/write but it supports Windows Vista’s new feature - Windows ReadyBoost - which allows you to use a USB drive as another layer of performance-boosting cache for Windows.
No word on price or release yet, but I would make sure u have Microsoft Vista, a USB 2.0 port and a USB Flash drive enhanced for Windows ReadyBoost with at least 512 MB of available space before going for this one.
