James Counsell. Outer Temple Chambers" Its not just about looks" [but it Helps!]It is very true that I have always wanted Mark Darcy aka Colin Firth to be my barrister. Each solicitor has told me its not possible. This is the problem with the legal profession, they just never think of the fact that a girl has accessory requirements. It is a bit like going to chambers and finding tea and coffee on
Listening to the Toronto Maple Leafs/Pittsburgh Penguins game on radio, I didn’t get a clear sense of who had won the fight between Darcy Tucker and Jarkko Ruutu. Shameless homerism by announcers has been known to result in less than objective descriptions.
This fight took place during a game between the Leafs and Penguins in [...]
Good Scenery - £250 Plus VAT/Hour - Value for MoneySince my minor little foray into my hobby of picking out devilishly handsome barristers yesterday, the trafffic on this blog has been considerably high. I admit it, apart from my addiction for chocolate which the GMC will no doubt be investigating me for any day now [ since they investigate me for everything], my other past time is good looking barristers. Fine, thats an addiction as well. I of course blame it on the General Medical Council. Might as well blame it on them. It is their fault afterall - making life impossible for me for 10 years, forcing me out of my job recently, discreetly inquiring about my very public writing sprees, collecting newspaper cuttings on me. One has to have some distraction strategies. Since the GMC has forced me to spend most of my young life in one court or another - I decided to take up Barrister Watching. It is similar to Bird Watching but with more sex appeal. Living with all this cr*** has indeed l
In a sport where driving your fist into an opponent’s face is tolerated, the uproar over the pre-game tiff between Sean Avery and Darcy Tucker the other night is a bit surreal. Such incidents always elicit responses from those who seem to have a hyper awareness of some kind of honour code that respects a certain “line” that they of course would never cross.
That line apparently applies to both actions and words. Where exactly is that line then, regarding what is allowable in terms of physical play? Does it stop in front of launching an assault against another player who is much smaller and doesn’t want to fight? No, that happens all the time.

How about continuing to hammer one’s fist into an opposing player’s face once he is down on the ice and prone? Again, no. That is a regular occurrence in the NHL. While many of these actions may be ostensibly prohibited in the NHL, everyone knows they are brazenl
Pride and Prejudice screenwriter extraordinaire Andrew Davies took part in this week's BBC Radio 4 show Desert Island Discs, as reported by icWales. Mr Davies admits that Mr Darcy's famous 'lake' scene was intended to be even more eye-catching than it turned out to be:I wanted him to dive in with nothing on at all. But for some reason, I don't know what it was, it was decided - or he decided - that he was going to dive in with his shirt and breeches on and that gave us that scene.Davies has described the episode as "rather amusing and embarrassing". He said, "There is Darcy in a state that he would not normally want to be seen in, trying to be pleasant and polite to Elizabeth. But in fact half of England's womanhood was going crazy about his wet shirt."Mr Davies' music choices can be found here. The programme will be repeated on August 10 at 9am GMT. Time Out interviews the lovely Martha Plimpton and looks back on her career as she starts in A Midsummer Night's Drea
According to TSN, Tucker and the Leafs have tentatively agreed to a 3-year deal that will pay him an average of $3 million per season. So it is probably an escalating contract that pays him more each season. A 4th year is also part of the package that would save the Leafs money if Tucker would waive his no-trade clause. What the Leaf really need now is for Tucker to return soon from his foot injury.
WOWZA!!!!
If you recall, last September Knightley was quoted as saying, "Weight is a big issue in Hollywood because
I'm twice the size, height and everything else, of most of the girls
who are going in to see the director for a part. When you realize that
I am, at my size, one of the largest actresses there
, you start to think, 'I don't think it'd be healthy for me
