Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter may currently be in more danger than anyone realizes. Howard Stern, her assumed father up until yesterday’s DNA tests, was the picture of fatherly love in every television, radio, and court appearance (and trust me, there were plenty) for the past months. Yesterday, it was discovered that Anna’s former bodyguard, Larry Birkhead, is actually the biological father of of Dannielynn. It’s a very real possibility that custody of Dannielynn will be given to Mr. Birkhead, especially since he never signed away any parental rights (at last update per my local news, it looks like Stern will not contest custody and Dannielynn will be turned over to Birkhead). In my opinion, this will only serve to make Dannielynn’s very existence a precarious one. Again, in my opinion, Stern has been simply biding his time these past years, doing away with family members one by one so he coud legitametly get his hands on all Smith’s money. You
NASSAU, Bahamas - DNA tests prove it: Larry Birkhead is the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s million-dollar baby.
“I told you so!” the late Playboy Playmate’s former boyfriend said Tuesday upon emerging from a closed court hearing. He added: “My baby’s going to be coming home pretty soon.”
Birkhead, a 34-year-old California photographer, then hugged his rival, Howard K. Stern, who has been caring for baby Dannielynn since Smith’s sudden death in February.
The hearing was a pivotal moment in the battle over who gets custody of the girl, who could inherit a fortune from the estate of Smith’s late husband, J. Howard Marshall II. Although Birkhead is the father, Stern’s name is on the birth certificate. Another custody hearing was scheduled for Friday.
Stern, who was Smith’s lawyer and later became her companion, said he wouldn’t fight for custody, but a lawyer for Smith’s mother, Virgie Arthur, indicated
Howard K. Stern will not fight for custody of Dannielynn if DNA tests conclude that Larry Birkhead is the father. Sources released a statement to TMZ :
“If Larry Birkhead is confirmed to be Dannielynn’s biological father, Howard will not challenge custody. His love for her will not change, irrespective of the results. Howard will act in Dannielynn’s best interest, because he loves her and would want a smooth transition to protect her, as she is deeply bonded to those who have been with her since birth.
While Howard continues to believe and hope that he is Dannielynn’s biological father, he wants to be involved in her life, regardless of paternity. He wants to share the memories of her mother as the person who knew Anna best and all she wanted for Dannielynn.
Howard will do whatever is necessary to assist Larry Birkhead to defeat any effort by Virgie Arthur to obtain custody of Dannielynn.

News on Anna Nicole: Florida Circuit Court Judge Larry Seidlin ruled Thursday that Richard Milstein, the court-appointed guardian of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter Dannielynn, will get custody of Smith's remains. Judge Seidlin also said that he'd like Smith to be buried in the Bahamas next to her son, Daniel Smith, who died last year.
