It was reported in June that the 26-year-old Patrick was likely to climb aboard the RA108 challenger in November at the Spanish winter test circuits Barcelona or Jerez.

I feel compelled to divulge this before getting into what’s bothering me.
I like Danica Patrick. She’s been fantastic for the Indy Racing League. She’s made the circuit relevant, and made her races appointment TV for me. I don’t mind her posing suggestively for magazines — as long as she doesn’t bare it all for Playboy — because she is an attractive, smart woman who has handled the attention given to her looks responsibly.

Danica Patrick comes within less than three tenths of a second for the pole at Mid-Ohio for the Sunday July 22 road course race. She will be starting on the front row by Helio Castronevez, and she was very pleased with her effort, particularly since it was on a road course All of the Andretti-Green cars will start in the top ten.
A time of 1.06.183 and speed of 121.687 gave Castronevez the pole, Danica’s time of 1.07.125 and 121.098 mph was second and very competitive, as strong as she’s ever been off an oval.
The race takes place on Sunday on ABC-TV.

With good driving and in spite of dealing with stubborn lapped traffic Danica equals her career best with a third place finish at Nashville. With some thought to the last ten laps of a race, IRL should consider the Nascar single file, lapped traffic to the back rule to make racing between the lead cars more interesting when the race is on the line. Danica’s comments after the race certainly pointed out her frustration with a system that allows cars between the top runners in a race at the end.
Scott Dixon dominated the race, leading the most laps and finishing almost 2 seconds ahead of second place Dario Franchitti.
