My closest friend in Fairfield and a meditator, pointed me to this story about David Lynch’s visit to Germany and the chaos around a misunderstanding of the intent of one of his guest speakers.
Some quick backstory for those who have not heard of the Maharishi’s Invincible America Assembly. A perfect example of the strange and creative works that can come out of a collaboration between very different artists is the recent project by the filmmaker David Lynch and the shoe designer Christian Louboutin, both absolute masters of their medium. We discovered “Fetish” at Design Art London where these extraordinary shoes by Louboutin and their erotic photographic counterparts by Lynch were on show at the Pierre Passebon Gallery. Many believe Louboutin’s sexy red soles to be art forms in their own right, but he has taken this fetishistic view of footwear to a new extreme with this series that’s more sculptural than wearable. Cette question qui a servi d’inspiration à Kad & Olivier pour leur Pamela Rose provient d’une série culte pour tout un chacun (moins de 20 ans, fuyez), j’ai nommé Twin Peaks. Feuilleton délirant et chef d’œuvre télévisuel magistral et loufoque qui passait sur la très berlusconienne et défunte “la 5″ (big up Jean-Claude Bourret).
Souvenez-vous : Kyle Maclachlan (bonne chance pour l’écrire) de Dune, affrontait seul une vile hostile au doux son de la mélopée d’angelo badalamenti (une de mes premières cassettes) avec Falling. Un monde délirant et effrayant que je n’effleurerai pas trop si vous n’avez pas encore eu l’occasion de mater le film plus la série.
