So yeah, cheesy title aside, I finished Crysis this morning after about 11 hours of play-time. I have to say, I hated the start. I hated the alien caverns. But, having never finished far cry, I promised myself I’d at least finish Crysis. So I soldiered on (hehe) and I have to say, after you get out of the alien caverns, the game will only last you maybe 2 hours, but I’ll be damned if it’s not f*cking awesome. I absolutely loved the last part of Crysis. It actually felt like a … crisis… Okay okay I’m sorry I can’t help it, the word play is so tempting. Anyway, as I was saying — it was an awesome final 2 hours for me this time. I loved it, and I think, I could consider it the redeemed just by that play experience. You really felt it was an epic thing towards the end. What did shit me off was the ending and clearly Crytek got lazy and just ended it. Maybe they’re making room for an expansion pack? Who knows. Uma boa notícia para quem está gostando do recém lançado Crysis, o game faz parte de uma trilogia de acordo com a Crytek em entrevista dada ao site InCrysis que pode ser conferida através desse link. Logicamente ainda não foi informado maiores detalhes do segundo “episódio”, afinal o primeiro acabou de ser lançado, mas já cria uma ótima expectativa para essa “série”.

Problem #1 : Crysis Error 1335 (the cabinet file “X” required for this installtionis corrupt) Solution #1 : Redownload the game from EA if you got it via DirectDL or pre-download (or torrents). Solution #2 : If you bought the DVD, try copying all the files from the DVD to a temporary directory and install from there. Have the DVD replaced if the DVD seems to be damaged. Problem #2 : Crysis cannot connect to multiplayer games and Crysis server authentication errors (Failed to authenticate server). Solution : Make sure that your ports are forwarded properly if you are using a router. Problem #3 : SLI problems in Crysis (slowdown etc.) Solution : turn-off the SLI mode, drivers will start addressing this issue in a few week

If you don’t know what Crysis is you have probably been living under a rock for the past year; it is the biggest shooter in years. Nvidia nails Crysis demo - The INQUIRER: "SO THE CRYSIS DEMO is out and folks are, unsurprisingly, loving it. The full game is out in a couple of weeks, but for now, enthusiastic hardware owners are giving their graphics boards the workout of their poor little lives and running through the short, sweet taste of Crytek's upcoming bonanza. For those who want to learn to tell the difference between the DX0 and DX10 versions of the game, there's a good page with some screenshot comparisons on here. DX10 seems to add some subtle effects to the engine rather than anything outright outrageous, but that's not going to stop Nvidia crowing about it. Da circa due giorni è possibile trovare in rete la Demo di Crysis, il capolavoro grafico che sfrutta a pieno tutta la potenza della Directx 10. Il video che ho fatto è live, cioè come si vede in fase di gioco, non si tratta di filmati promo renderizzati, ma di quello che vedrete se decidete di provare o acquistare questo splendido videogame. Da sempre amante delle consolle, ho spesso snobbato il pc, ma questa volta mi sono dovuto ricredere. Il movimento e la trasparenza dell’acqua è qualcosa di unico, per non parlare della vegetazione e dello sfondo, sembra di essere in un film della pixar. Electronic Arts Games today launched its direct Crysis Demo download that clocks in at 1.77GB (you can get it at Nvidia too). Also at Nvidia is a handy PC test to see if you can run Crysis in the first place. So three cheers for yourself if you’re a high-end PC owner who can run it with all the graphic prowess turned on. The single-player demo of Crysis includes the complete first level of the game, which is about 45 minutes of gameplay. Crysis has a worldwide PC release date on November 16th, 2007. Ya se puede descargar la demo de Crysis. La demo pesa 1,77 Gb pero parece que merece la pena. Al menos eso pienso después de haber probado los primeros minutos de la demo de Crysis. La exigencia gráfica es brutal debido al elevado nivel de detalle de la jungla donde empiezas la jungla equipado con una pistola, un rifle y tus puños. De hecho tuve que cerrar el Crysis por la temperatura que alcanzó mi gráfica. Makers of Crysis say that a console version may be made. No official statement of it happening has been made yet. They say that if a console version was to be made, it would not only be released for Xbox 360 but for the PS3 also. “I ruled out any development whatsoever because there is no development on consoles. But what’s happening is, is people are asking me if it’s possible. Of course. You can get Crysis even on the Nintendo DS. But not that Crysis - you cannot get Crysis as it is on PC on any console. What you would have to do is compromise the design and the level design – in order of the PS3 and Xbox 360 regards you have to fulfill the memory constraints. So through the good folk at fileplanet.com, I managed to get a Key for the Crysis Multiplayer Beta Test. I downloaded the client which is not huge at around 1.38gb. Installation The installation went well, with no problem reported at all. I fired it up straight away before checking any of the game setting and joined a server. I quickly disconnected as the resolution was 800 X 600 and it looked like a Beta of Far Cry, rather than Crysis. The interface is functionally. It is what is to be expected from a quasi futuristic game like Crysis…kind of like the interface you see in movies…ie slick. I ran the auto-detect tool that set my setting to High!!!! I was surprised that it had? I upped the resolution to 1280 X 1024 and put the AA on full. I re-joined a server and was presented with an amazing vista (not windows pun intended). First of all….to get it out of the way…..the eye candy: Graphics and Engine The shadows are excellent. I did not think that shadowing alone could lend so
