I bought the WoW expansion The Burning Crusade, not that I have finished the original game, currently at level 33, but because of a load of other enhancements to players that I have been told about.
As soon as it was installed it wanted to download a patch file, which is 641mb in size. I thought patch files were supposed to be small patches to programms, this patch is the size of a game itself. Its been downloading for the last couple of hours and at start it said it said it would take between 2-3 hours to download. Two hours later it still says 2-3 hours to download. Hmmm..sorta rolling download. Maybe the developers are patching the patch and it’ll never complete downloading. He-he.
I installed Call of Duty 4 and tried to run it. It started ok but it resolutely wants to remain a background task, so everytime I tab to it, it minimizes. Sounds like the PC needs a darn good hard reboot, but that’ll stop the WoW patch download.
