After a couple of very frustrating hours, I decide to take a break and do a little web surfing. So I'm perusing the web in search of something delicious to rock on my vacation in a couple weeks and low and behold what do my beedie little addicted to retail eyes
Toyota has developed a new fuel cell hybrid vehicle that travels more than double the distance of its predecessor model, increasing the maximum cruising range from 205 miles to 515 miles.
Limited cruising ranges of previous fuel cell systems presented obstacles to widespread fuel cell vehicle use but the ‘Toyota FCHV-adv’ (fuel cell hybrid vehicle-advanced) improves [...]

Well my wedding anniversary is just around the corner and I have got to find something special to do with the wife this year. I always try and do something real nice every year, but last year was a tough one for us. Times were just tough so doing something really special was out of the question. This year however things are very different so we are going to do things right. I have actually been lo

Islands are fewer and further apart in the northern Aegean. If you want to pack more isles into a week at sea, consider Hebridean Spirit's Legacies of the Cyclades itinerary. This one starts and finishes in Rhodes, hopping through the Dodecanese and Cyclades islands by way of Halki, Folegandros, Syros, Mykonos, Amorgós and Nisyros. Plenty of variety here: Rhodes Old Town is one of the most stunning medieval survivals in Europe. Ermoupoli on Syros is an odd time-warp port – it was once the most important entrepôt in Greece, and it conceals the faded grandeur of its 19th-century neo-Classical heyday behind the clutter of a working seaport.I have been keeping quiet about Folegandros and Amorgós for many years, but the cat has crept out of the bag – these are two of the loveliest and le

I used to think that since it was a capital intensive business, Carnival (CCL) wouldn’t qualify as a classical dividend growth story, but I stand corrected.
Carnival is the most dominating global cruise company in the world generating revenues in excess of $13 billion; trouncing the $6 billion eked out by distant second place, Royal Caribbean. [...]
TBA cabins are one way to save money on a cruise but they come with a caveat. In the cruise industry, TBA means To Be Assigned. “Guaranteed Rate” is another term that is often used. Either way, what it means is that, no matter what, you would get a cabin in the category you purchased and, if you get lucky, you could get an upgrade. Why do the cruise lines do this? Usually, the first cabins to sell out on a ship are the least expensive and the most expensive. When all of the inexpensive cabins are sold, the remaining inventory is usually made up of the mid-priced cabins. The cruise line can have a harder time selling these as they may be competing against lower prices on other cruise lines. Enter the TBA or guaranteed rate cabin. By selling passengers a ‘guaranteed rate’ or ‘TBA’

Here we are cruising on the Nile River. Actually, we're at a complete stand still while we wait our turn to ascend the river lock system. We are travelling south to north but here that's referred to as upper to lower Egypt due to the direction that the river flows. I can't believe I'm in Egypt.I have a ton of photos and lots of stories but I haven't had internet access for a few days...and it's unreliable at best along the Nile. So, I just wanted to let everyone know that my teeth are intact, I haven't broken any bones and we're all having the time of our lives.

Activities and things to do:If you're planning a day out at sea, the traditional wooden longtail boats found on all mainland beaches are your best option for independent island hopping. There are also frequent 'taxi boats' running from Ao Nang to Ton Sai and Railay Beach. These wait until they have enough passengers (in theory 5, but in high season they usually hold out for 10 or more) to depart. Buy coupons for the boats at the booth on the corner of the beach road opposite Phra Nang Inn.Prices for trips are fixed by the boatmen's club (i.e. are not able to be bargained down) and displayed on a board outside the ticket office. The prices are the same all year round and children under 12 travel free.Boats can also be found at Nopparat Thara; Chao Fah pier in Krabi Town; Klong Muang; and Railay. Prices may vary slightly from those in Ao Nang, depending on how much closer or further away from the destination you are. In these destinations you pay the driver directly (no tickets). The

Costa Cruises, already the leader in Europe and South America cruising, is now attempting to solidify its Asia market reputation by adding a second cruise ship in Asia. The 53,000-ton Costa Classica will be moved to Asia betginning in March 2009, and will add over 1,600 beds to their inventory. Costa cites increased demand for the move, and expects the ship to fill quickly. Majestic and modern are just some of the ways you could describe Costa Classica, one of the most majestic and modern boats in their fleet. Costa offers the best value in Asia cruising when compared to its ultra-luxury competitors.
Hillary Clinton crumbling after cruising - New York Daily News (Michael Goodwin)Excerpt - Hillary Clinton crumbling after cruising:"Hillary Clinton entered Thursday's Democratic debate in a tight battle for first place. She left in danger of finishing third in the Iowa caucus. Yikes. It's not because she had a particularly bad debate. It's just that Barack Obama was far better and John Edwards was slightly better. If their performances are an omen for the caucus results on Jan. 3, Clinton could lose the nomination she seemed to have locked up two months ago...And he (Obama) was tough, too, winning the only real back-and-forth with Clinton by delivering a deft putdown that deflated her gloating cackle. The sequence began when Obama was asked how he could be the real agent of change when so many of his top advisers came from Bill Clinton's administration. Hillary burst out laughing saying, "I want to hear that." After only the slightest pause, Obama looked across the stage at her and s
In my non-stop quest to make Viator the one-stop source of information for travel to Egypt…
My husband and I are not what we would call ‘cruise’ people. We have never done an extended cruise and have never been inclined to do so. When planning our trip to Egypt it became apparent early on that unless we were prepared to endure hours of car travel on bumpy, deserted roads with no speed limits - that would be NO - our best option for seeing the curiously named Upper Egypt, is by boat. I say curiously named because when you look at a map of Egypt, Upper Egypt (Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, etc) appears to the South of Lower Egypt (Cairo, Alexandria, etc). I equate North with up and South with down, maybe it’s just me. In this case Upper refers to height with Upper Egypt further above sea level than Lower Egypt…it took me a while to grasp this concept!
Anyway, getting back on track, we decided to do the 8 Day Nile River Cruise on the lovely M/Y Mirage (M/Y bein
Year after year, Disney Cruise Line continues to show why it still ranks number 1 in cruising with the American public. After successfully bringing family travel to the cruise industry in 1998, they continue to be recognized for refining that product year after year. This year was no exception as Disney has won 8 more top awards, the latest being in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards back in September. The ranking was determined from answers given by readers when asked to rate cruise lines on cabins, food, service, itineraries, destinations, activities and value. The brings the total of awards won by Disney to almost 50 in its 9 years of existance. If you cruise with Disney after Thanksgiving this year for the holidays, you will see some of the extra touches that make them famous.

If you are considering a cruise, then you should seriously consider the Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line as your cruise company of choice. Why? Because the Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line offers some of the newest trends in cruise luxury. On a Norwegian Caribbean Cruise, you are free to do whatever you choose. No highly structures schedule here! Their motto is "Freestyle Cruising" and they do whatever they can to make sure their passengers have the freedom to spend their vacation however they wish. Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line's motto of "Lifestyle Cruising" can be a little confusing to the experienced traveler. What does it mean? Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line prides them on being innovative with their cruises. They do not greet passengers with a list of rules and a detailed schedule. Passengers can choose to plan each moment of their trip ahead of time, or go with their whims each day of the trip. For example, there are no scheduled times for meals on these ships. You c

As I wake I feel the aching of my cock pressed into the sheet under my stomach, vying for as much attention as the insistent pressure in my bladder. With a groan, I roll over onto my back to alleviate at least the pain in my dick.Damn. I was sure that Paul would be showing up for poker last night. I had hoped to invite him up to my place after for a cup of tea, and maybe a little action. Paul's not really my type, I mean I wouldn't want to live with him, but he's a nice guy, and if we're both aware that the sex is casual then I don't see a problem with it. When he didn't even show up, I starting taking shots of the Old Grand-Dad that homophobic ex-army friend of Gwen's had brought with him. Actually, he's a nice guy, I like him, but he a racist and, although I never brought up homosexuality with him, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be too receptive to the concept.I roll out of bed and make my way into the bathroom. If you’ve cruised before, or are in the process of researching your initial venture at sea, chances are you’ve already decided cruising may be a better vacation value than a land based visit to a city, or number of cities, and staying in a hotel. That being the case, if you’re going to Europe, the value is now better than ever from a euro conversion perspective. Today, a euro will cost you about $1.44 in U.S. dollars, thus diminishing your purchasing power on a land based European vacation by about 30%. What does that mean to you? When you consider that all vacations are essentially made up of four components, it quickly becomes apparent what you might miss. Conside your accomodation, entertainment, dining and how you get to and from your locations. Airfare is purchased stateside, and would be need for both types of vacation, so it really doesn’t impact the calculation except that good travel agents have a source for airfare that is less expensive than si
My little sister has lots of luck. She is down in Miami right now cruising the inter coastal with friends on a luxury yacht. She has connections. We live near St. Clair Shores, Michigan where there are so many beach resorts. In fact, just this last Summer we were at one of the beach resorts called Metro Beach. And, you know, we found out that it takes some recreational vehicles or like these beach cruiser bikes to get around at such huge beach. Beach crusing is quite a popular activity that people do a lot here, I have seen a lot of them. So, I would say that those bikes are a great gift idea for beach cruising, and just maybe my husband can purchase a couple for both of us. We need them.

It's all over the news that Idaho Senator Larry Craig was arrested in a Minneapolis public restroom for signaling his desire to engage in anonymous sexual behavior with an undercover police officer. Senator Larry Craig's Story PublicizesMen's Sex SubculturePublic places like men's restrooms, in airports and train stations, truck stops, university libraries and parks, have long been places where gay and bisexual men, particularly those in the closet, congregate in order to meet for anonymous sex.Over time, people familiar with cruising told ABCNEWS.com, gay men began using a codified system of signals to indicate to others that they were interested in sex. In an effort to curb lewd acts in public — or as some gays argue, in an effort to persecute gay men — undercover police began sting operations in places known for sex soliciting and employed the same codes."Tapping of the foot is pretty standard for men who cruise in toilets," said Keith Griffith, owner of Cruisingforsex.com, a Web site on which visitors post locations popular with men looking for anonymous sex.Read Article...Watch CNN VideoLarry Craig Idaho Sexuality
The last weekend was spent on checking out some cruises in Hawaii and it looked like there wouldn’t be much choice for us. It was rather insightful looking at all the big cruise liners which specialize in all sorts of cruises including Celebrity Cruise, Carnival Cruise, Princess Cruise and much more. It looked as if we have only the Norwegian Cruise line to consider since we need to depart from Honolulu. I strongly believe that cruise liners like the NCL has a comprehensive boat insurance since it serves millions of passengers in a year. Besides, it is convenient to get an online quote with the super internet technology age we are living in. If you are a boat owner, Cover my travels website allows you to choose your boat and decide on the insurance option you prefer. Apparently, Z has high cholesterol. She’s actually been eating healthier lately, so we’re laying this directly on the lack of exercise she gets. It’s not entirely her fault, no one in the family is really a fan of expending “unnecessary” energy. So her mother has tasked me with finding all of us bicycles. At the moment I’m leaning heavily towards some classic beach cruiser bikes.
XYZ Bikes has a selection of cruisers on sale right now for under $100 each. Not to mention Z was immediately transfixed with this bright pink, flowered bike:
Can’t say I blame her. I’m not a huge pink fan, but it is a pretty sweet looking ride. Personally, I think I’m gonna go with this dark blue number:
The smooth lines on these bikes are amazing. They manage to look both sleek and classy at the same time.
Of course, XYZ has some non-classic bikes as well. Check out this lowrider:

NCL’s on-board Club Valet service, which costs $40/day, includes secure storage, club cleaning and delivery of your clubs to the pier each day that you play. Otherwise, club rentals cost from $39/$149 per day/week at the ship’s pro shop, which also rents and sells other golf gear, arranges for golf lessons and can even pair passengers with other players.
For those tuning into this blog for the humanitarian aid posts, I apologize. We will be back soon to the 'real world'. Another tip. We always charter bareboat from a company called "The Moorings" (www.moorings.com). This was the fourth year we chartered from them. Apart from a real bad experience last year, when chartering out of their Tortola base (the boat was really poorly maintained and the service was just no good), they do everyth

Lucky's grandparents have just been on another Norwegian Cruise. They really enjoy them because it gives them a chance to see lots of different views and places without having to pack their things every time they move on. Apparently the fjords and the snow topped mountains have to be seen to be believed. Lucky's grandad doesn't walk very well now and this means he can see all the places as well. He likes the cruise ships so much, sometimes he stays on teh ship when they are in a port. They booked with a company called directlinecruises.com, who offered them a big discount off the price and they said the facilities and the food were excellent.
eBay search:A4CMarch 31,2007Ok the most interesting thing to happen to me all week was a day at the DMV. I sure hope every DMV isnt like ours...where do they get those people? A bunch of low level government employess wandering around delberately trying to lure people into an argument so they can run and get a state trooper, then taking an hour long lunch break followed by 5 minutes of work and then another break and more insults. Good grief. But I did get to spend the day hiking with my dogs and if you havent met them yet, thats Murphy(Golden) and Angel(Lab). Murphy was named after my favorite Atlanta Brave when I was a kid....back when the Braves stunk. And an x named Angel....the only thing she ever did right....Jk:) If someone knows how to photograph a waterfall and freeze the falling water AND get enough light to see the surroundings,...let me know because this is a beatiful place and THIS is the best photo I could get.------------------------------------------------------------
Two fresh polls were released today on the Massachusetts governor race which show Deval Patrick with a lead of more than 20 points over Kerry Healey, reversing the trend of earlier polling which showed Patrick's lead steadily declining.
Rasmussen (October 20, 500 LV, MoE +/-4.5%)
53% Patrick (D)
29% Healey (R)
? Mihos (I)
Survey USA (October 21-23, 623 LV, MoE +/-4%)
56% Patrick (D)
31% Healey (R)
8% Mihos (I)
2% Ross (G)
Mihos was included in Rasmussen's previous survey and polled 9%, and presumably was in this survey as well. However, Rasmussen is only reporting the results of the top two vote getters at this point, so I've listed a question mark for him here.
This is Massachusetts, where it's basically impossible for a Republican to make up a 24-point deficit in the last two weeks of the campaign, but to be honest even if it were a Democrat trailing a Republican by 24% the race would essentially be over. It's been a very impressive 16-year run of having Republica

A modern, properly powered motor yacht (above 45 feet) should be capable of cruising in the neighborhood of 16 - 17 knots. Those that cruise at 20 knots are considered fast and a 25-knot cruising speed is seen only in a very-high-performance model.
Many motor yachts under 45 feet — and that includes a lot of the late-model Taiwan imports — are not able to attain these numbers because they were built with too-small engines. While this tactic allowed importers to sell them at seemingly low prices, the performance of these boats runs a poor second to a properly powered model.

Although the principles of sailing are the same for both catamarans and monohulls, there are some 'peculiarities' to sailing catamarans. For example:
Catamarans can be harder to tack (turn through the wind). Because they are lighter in proportion to their sail size, they have less momentum to carry them through the turn when they are head to wind. Correct use of the jib sail is often essential in successfully completing a tack without ending up stuck in irons (pointing dead into the wind and sailing backwards).
They have a higher average speed.
All boats sail faster when travelling in certain directions relative to the wind with
A Cruising Catamarans is a type of boat (or occasionally ship) consisting of two hulls joined by a frame. Catamarans can be sail- or motor-powered. The word catamaran comes from the Tamil language, in which the word kattumaram means "logs bound together". The catamaran was the invention of the paravas, an aristocratic fishing community in the southern coast of Tamilnadu, India. Catamarans were used by the ancient Tamil Chola dynasty as early as 5th century AD for moving their fleets to conquer such south-east Asian regions as Burma, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Catamarans are a relatively recent design of boat for both leisure and sport sailing, although they have been used for millennia in Oceania, where Polynesian catamarans allowed seafaring Polynesians to settle the world's most far-flung
