Last Thursday, Ireland's World Cup cricket team played Zimbabwe to a "thrilling", "nail-biting" tie in the opener of the seven week tournament. A win in their second match, scheduled for later today against Pakistan, would serve the dual purpose of eliminating Pakistan from the tournament and virtually guaranteeing Ireland's advancement into the next round.
