Looks like ATI 3800's DX 10.1 compatibility makes the game run better and faster on ATI but not on NVIDIA. Yet another delay and this time its the launch of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed as reported by Fudzilla.Ubisoft has delayed Assassin's Creed for both Nintendo DS and PC, and the games are now set for launch on March 28th.As you may know, Assassin's Creed was previously scheduled to launch in February for the DS version and in March for the PC version, but now we have more than two more months to wait for this game. The previous statement also means that users have two more months to fulfill the Ubisoft's high PC requirements for Assassin's Creed.In addition to the Assassin's Creed delay, Ubisoft has also pushed the launch of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Elements back one week, to 15th February. Assassin's Creed is a gorgeous game (especially on PS3), but it lacks a lot of the fun found in the studio's previous Prince of Persia games. A few weeks ago, my copy of Madden 08 for 360 decided to crap out totally and stop working and just freeze my console whenever I tried to sim computer games. This left me with nothing to play, so I went to GameSpot to see what the best Xbox game was that I didn't have, and it was Assassin's Creed..at least according to GameSpot.The game started off promisingly enough and I believed GameSpot was right in giving it a 9.0 rating. The graphics were beautiful, some of the brightest and most detailed I've yet to see on the 360. Game play was quite interesting, a combination of stealth assassination and button mashing melee combat. Perhaps the funnest part of the game is jumping and swinging about on rooftops. It's quite easy to run seamlessly along rooftops and quite fun as well. You go about performing certain tasks to get your missions to assassinate various slavers and merchant kings corrupting cities while the kings were away fighting the Third Crusade.The problem with Assassin
Its finally arrived, after months and months of drooling over screenshots, gameplay vids and developer interviews Assassin’s Creed hits Xbox 360 and PS3 with the PC version to come early 08.
But was it really worth the wait? Simply put, NO!. How can a developer take such a beautiful engine, intriging story and fabulous combat system and screw it up you ask. Well somehow Ubisoft Montreal have done just that and the one word that negates all their hard work is monotony.
Assassin’s Creed previewed back at E3 2006 and was tipped as being one of the killer aps of 2007. I for one was on the band wagon the moment i saw our anti-hero Altair force his way through a crowded street and sink his hidden blade into his mark. But what you soon realize is that the trailer is pretty much the game. Practically ever single mission in the game is just a rehash of the mission before but in a slighty different city. Um patch foi liberado para o jogo Assassin’s Creed versão PS3. O patch conserta bugs como “congelamento de tela” ou “tela-branca-da-morte” que alguns jogadores vinham experimentando durante o jogo. O patch para o jogo estará disponível via Playstation Network (PSN), é somente necessário fazer o login.
Sobre o jogo: Desenvolvido pela Ubisoft Montreal o Assassin’s Creed para PS3 tem gráficos únicos e é considerado um dos jogos mais bem feitos até hoje. Sem dúvida Assassin’s Creed promete ser um dos melhores jogos de 2007. Você joga com o personagem chamado Altair, um membro do Hashshashin (or Assassinos), um grupo que promove assassinatos relacionados à política, entre os século XI e XIII, na área do Meio Leste durante a terceira crusada. Ubisoft acaba de anunciar la fecha de lanzamiento de Assassin's Creed para Nintendo DS. Su llegada a Europa está prevista para el 15 de febrero. Those who are beset by untimely game freezes in the PlayStation 3 version of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed can now breathe easy: a community manager in the Assassin’s Creed forums confirmed that they will release a patch that will fix the freezing problem that is currently plaguing some gamers while going through Altair’s adventures.
According to UbiRazz, the UK Community Manager in the Assassin’s Creed forums, they are now currently working on a game update that will “improve the stability of the game.” The update will be released online, but it is still uncertain if they will release a new batch of game discs incorporating the fix.

Durante el día de hoy, nos han llegado reportes de que algunos usuarios del reciente estrenado juego de Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed, están experimentando ciertos problemas de cuelgue con la versión de la consola domestica de Sony, la PlayStation 3.
Según se conoce de mano de los usuarios afectados, el problema podría estar ligado a la recién lanzada nueva versión del Firmware de la consola de Sony, la versión 2.0, y según algunos usuarios, el problema puede solucionarse aparentemente desactivando las opciones del tablón de anuncios o, desconectando la consola PlayStation 3 de Internet.
Sony por su parte, aun no se ha referido oficialmente al problema, que parece estar relacionado con el Firmware 2.0 de la misma, aunque, como les comentamos en una noticia anterior, Sony planea lanzar una versión 2.1 de su nuevo Firmware.
Ojala este problema quede solucionado al 100% con la nueva actualización del Firmware de la PlayStation 3 de Sony.

Si es que la cultura friki ya llega a un punto en el cual uno cree ver referencias por doquier. Como en esta captura de pantalla, que algunos juran y perjuran que en ella aparece Optimus Prime, el líder de los Autobots. Eso sí, en versión dibujos animados, no de la peli del recién convertido en fan del HD-DVD Michael Bay. Juzgadlo por vosotros mismos.

No sabemos si este error y el del caballo serán arreglados mediante la actualización que UbiSoft está preparando, pero por lo menos parece que han sido rápidos en reaccionar al aluvión de bugs que van apareciendo a medida que los jugadores están metiendo caña a uno de los títulos más esperados de este año.

Assassin’s Creed has been out for all of 9 hours in South Africa and we already have a video comparison to look at… Granted it wasn’t made by a South African but you get the point
Anyway it contains some spoilers for those who have not played the game, but if you don’t care or have already played then take a look.
I think it is blatantly obvious which console has the better looking game…
So the reviews for Assassin’s Creed had been all over the place, Gamespot has released their review today and I am happy to report that they have given it a 9/10.
I generally seem to agree with the Gamespot reviews so this really does make me feel better about picking up a copy.
IGN however have been slammed for changing their review and being caught out. They originally said the PS3 version was badly affected by slowdowns only to remove that section without realising Destructoid had reported on it already.
Now we have rumours that it has been delayed in South Africa for the Xbox 360. I have spoken to Megarom and they have officially stated that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are already in stock at certain retailers and the other retailers will be receiving their stock today.
There is no delay from the importing and distribution side and if your local retailer does not have a copy then it is sold out or they didn’t order it.
