Woeful error of judgment questions credibility of the ECB

As the Henshall hearing at the GMC appears to be delayed, we should take sometime out to examine the credibility of the complainants. No one believed the Henshall's " Memory Lapse" defence when they paraded it in front of the GMC in their hopeless case against Keith Prowse. The aim of bringing the complaint was to silence Dr Prowse. Their lawyers did their best at damage limitation but when they have held that the consent forms were forged from 1992 onwards then suddenly " develop a memory lapse about actually signing it", the Henshalls cannot blame us when we look at them narrowly. We don't believe the Henshalls. I doubt that any member of the reasonable public will believe the Henshalls. Hawaii's Schedule Hurting Credibility
by nscIt is not often that a team begins the season 8-0 as Hawaii has. The problem is that Hawaii is viewed as a team who has scheduled down in order to get to where they are today. With remaining home games against Fresno State, Boise State, Washington and a road game at Nevada Hawaii does have a chance to run the table and finish 12-0 this season. The question is: Will that be enough to get the Warriors into a BCS game? If the BCS rankings have anything to say about it the answer is a difinitive no and would you really be able to argue this decision? Could you make the argument that a school who has played two Division 1AA schools and has a schedule littered with teams who have won two games or less should be a BCS qualifier? Here in lays the problem with the Warriors. They have all the talent in the world on offense and their defense does just enough to get them wins. But these wins are coming against sub-par competition. Even if the Warriors knock off the Broncos of Boise

Most people, who’ve become a target at work, can tell some real horror stories about how far a supervisor, executive or a company—as a whole—was willing to go in order to deny them a promotion, set them up for termination, etc. They can also tell you stories about how bold many workers at a company are and how they often eagerly participate in activities with a supervisor or on behalf of the company. The level of complicity is staggering, when it comes to the networks that are built with the sole purpose of getting rid of an employee, trying to get the company out of legal jeopardy, etc.I worked at a company that was found guilty of retaliating against a Black manager. The company was found guilty of illegal behavior that included creating false documentation (e.g., falsifying timesheets in a malicious attempt to show the manager had been absent without official leave). DESIRABILITY AND CREDIBILITY
DESIRABILITY AND CREDIBILITY  An exhibition has just opened at the P.S.1 MOMA gallery in New York of works that artists have kept for themselves and not sold for various reasons. The exhibition is meant to be a stand against the influence of the art market on the art world but I think that the fact that an exhibition such as this is required actually highlights how important the art market is to the art world. I also think that because the art market is in so important to the world of fine art that the artworks in the exhibition are likely to receive more interest because of their new-found commercial desirability than their importance to the artist. This exhibition also raises another important issue to keep in mind when looking at purchasing art for investment. Artists who churn out work and have a purely commercial outlook and purpose to their work are likely to damage their reputation as an artist making their work a less desirable investment. Try to Weaken or Destroy Your Employer's Credibility!
One of the tactics you can use to defeat the lies and false accusations of an employer is to attack their credibility—the same as your employer will attack yours! There are four basic components for looking into who is or isn’t credible: inherent plausibility, corroboration, motive to falsify, and past history. These are the same components that your employer will try to use to show that you—and not they—lack the credibility to be taken seriously. Here are some of the questions you should ask yourself regarding the four basic components. These components are also helpful in shaping your overall arguments and positions regarding your complaint and any actions taken by your employer.Inherent plausibility--Are your employer’s arguments and positions believable at face value? Why or why not?--Do their statements and evidence (real or fabricated) make sense? Why or why not?--Are the actions of your employer justified/appropriate based on allegations or has your employer overreached

I don't know about you, but I only buy from internet sites that will provide me with information to support their product or service claims, otherwise I just consider them a client of a sales copy writing expert! Here's how to gather quality testimonials and benefit from them immediately:1) If you already have some positive feedback from clients, ask their permission to include their comments on your site. Try to choose testimonials that are packed full of concrete benefits that tell your customers exactly what they can expect to gain from purchasing your produ

CANCELLATIONS TOUGH TO CALL EVEN FOR BEST SCHOOLS CHIEF - SILBERMAN RETAINS CREDIBILITY BY NOT TRYING TO SNOW ANYONE
Lexington Herald-Leader (KY)February 9, 2007Author: Richard DayThe best school superintendents spend their waking hours communicating and driving district personnel to increase student achievement. They want high attendance, not low attendance. They want more school days, not fewer. They want to have school. The hardest decisions a school superintendent has to make are those that go beyond his control, such as deciding whether to call off school when bad weather threatens. Sometimes conditions are bad enough that school cancellations can be announced the night before. Other times, it's a close call made at 5 a.m. Then there is a four-hour window of time after the decision to have class is made and until the last child arrives at school. In that time, the winds can change and turn a seemingly solid decision into mush. That's when school officials hold their collective breath.Such was the case with Fayette County Schools Superintendent Stu Silberman recently when he admitted to a blown c

      Greg Rucka loses credibility
Another little thing that almost escapes one's notice, but now, Greg Rucka, in this bizarre interview he gave to Newsarama along with editor Stephen Wacker last August, has shown why he may not be worth any decent person's time. It's what he says in the responses inserted within the same paragraph as the interviewer's, which I made sure to identify as best as possible:4) Re: Booster. Why are you messing with the JLI fans so much? (Greg Rucka: Because you make it so easy….) I guess I should've realized that once Ted got his brains blown out it was all over. (Greg Rucka: Oh, come now…there are plenty of "em left for us to kill. Really, give us a little more credit.) Anyway, when this is all done, can we finally get a Blue & Gold mini by Giffen & DeMatteis?Whoops! Looks like Rucka doesn't want real fandom, does he? And I guess he's only in this for the money. Certainly not the glory.I may own a little of his work, but after this, I certainly won't be in any hurry to ge

Greens won't gain credibility by sucking up to Dion
Elizabeth May, the Green party leader, heaped praise on Dion at a news conference to end the Commons session. She called the former Liberal cabinet minister "a very, very good environment minister" and said that while the Liberal record on fighting greenhouse gas emissions wasn't great, they were "still light years ahead of Harper on the Kyoto file"What they really should be doing is presenting themselves as a centrist alternative to the Liberals, a party for non-NDPers concerned about the environment, a party for the "disenchanted" (or lazy) voter, and a party for the centre-right that didn't like the Clean Air Act. That's a significant voter base to start off on. It might even get them a seat or two. So why suck up to the Liberals when they really should be going on their own? It'll be interesting to see if they run any negative campaign ads against each other.

Credibility is not spelled R-E-L-I-G-I-O-N Part 2
      2. Credibility In The Classroom From the New York Times on a study done by the National Center for Education Statistics:The report, which compared fourth- and eighth-grade reading and math scores from nearly 7,000 public schools and more than 530 private schools in 2003, also found that conservative Christian schools lagged significantly behind public schools when it came to eighth-grade math. 1The first point to consider her is that the split here was not between public and private schools. It was between conservative CHRISTIAN schools and everyone else. On the average public and private schools compared similarly. This study only looked at reading and math scores and I'd like to find out how conservative Christian schools compare to public schools in terms of science education. We can make some educated guesses of course. In particular the religious have made moral issues of evolution and cosmology and we can only suppose that it has affected the effectiveness of their education sy

Credibility is not spelled R-E-L-I-G-I-O-N Part 1
I want share with you the two most exciting paragraphs of news I have ever read:It is a mouth-watering prospect, undoubtedly the news story of this fledgling year: God, in a human court of law, almost in the shadow of the Vatican, under obligation to prove that he exists. And if he can't, then no one in Italy will any longer be able to claim to be God's agent or intermediary, to collect money for his greater glory, or to issue instructions to the human world on his behalf. No longer will the pope be able to hand down infallible bulls, no longer will Catholic priests be able to claim divine authority for their appointments, and only under their breaths will the faithful be able to utter their holiest of vows, "in the name of the father, the son and the holy ghost", because the father, the son and the holy ghost will no longer be deemed to exist, and publicly to proclaim otherwise will be to mislead the gullible, a crime in Italy. 1The law in question here is fairly unique and mak

Credibility is not spelled R-E-L-I-G-I-O-N Part 3
      3. Credibility In Behavior and Society: A Response to John F. KippleyJohn F. Kippley recently published an article in the Cincinnati Enquirer condemning public schools as built on "practical atheism" and claiming that we should expect violent and criminal behavior from people who lack faith. His points are clear and I think fairly representative of certain Christian critics. As such I would like to respond to his arguments. He starts with:The discussion about the killings in Cincinnati does not seem to have raised the question, "What else should we expect?" That is, what is there in the education and upbringing of the murderers to cause them to think it is morally wrong to kill someone they don't like? Our public education system is one of practical atheism, and as Dostoevsky had one of characters say, "If there is no God, I can do anything." 1 He continues the psychological argument:Given the ugliness of life for some, such a belief system deprives them of internal motivation to l

      Religion Has Lost Its Credibility
When religion loses its credibility By Oliver "Buzz" ThomasMon Nov 20, 6:40 AM ET What if Christian leaders are wrong about homosexuality? I suppose, much as a newspaper maintains its credibility by setting the record straight, church leaders would need to do the same: Correction: Despite what you might have read, heard or been taught throughout your churchgoing life, homosexuality is, in fact, determined at birth and is not to be condemned by God's followers. Based on a few recent headlines, we won't be seeing that admission anytime soon. Last week, U.S. Roman Catholic bishops took the position that homosexual attractions are "disordered" and that gays should live closeted lives of chastity. At the same time, North Carolina's Baptist State Convention was preparing to investigate churches that are too gay-friendly. Even the more liberal Presbyterian Church (USA) had been planning to put a minister on trial for con
