Cars are getting safer, particularly from frontal and side impact crashes. Rear impacts remain a significant problem. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, an auto safety lab operated by a consortium of car insurance companies, has released its latest crash test results for midsize cars. Everybody is talking about Chinese cars. Before you know it world marked could be saturated with them, cheaper alternatives to their Japanese cousins.
What Chinese car manufacturers are known to do is take their competitors car, copy it and sell it for 50% less. I would even consider buying one when they showed up here, what is wrong with driving reliable copy of Toyota Corolla for half the price?
However, it seems to me they are not the same as the original. There must be a reason they are so cheap, and it seems that what they make up in price they lose in safety.

Riporto questo articolo da parte di Automotoportal.com. Alcuni utenti hanno trasmesso un Video della prova di arresto di una nuova automobile cinese chiamata Brilliance BS6 e di altri modelli. L’automobile, nella prova di arresto del crash test, è andata completamente distrutta ed ha realizzato soltanto uno delle cinque stelle possibili nella valutazione di sicurezza di euro NCAP. The result of latest round EURO NCAP crash safety test come out, Ford’s new Mondeo, VW’s Tiguan, are the top five star of this crash safety test.
Hyundai’s new i-30 hatch, Ford’s Mondeo and the Volkswagen Caddy ‘Life’ and VW Tiguan SUV all going under the microscope of this Euro NCAP crash safety test. Vehicles were rated on three different categories, Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection and Pedestrian Protection, and received a separate score for each.
The Euro NCAP crash safety tests include crashing the vehicles head-on into an offset barrier at roughly 40mph, side impact collisions traveling at about 30mph, and pedestrian impacts, which are tested at 25mph.
Ford Mondeo and VW Tiguan each scoring a five star rating for adult protection, four stars for child safety and only two stars for pedestrian protection. The VW Caddy and Hyundai i30 came in behind with equal scores of four, three and two stars in the respective categories.
