Enlace: Not Totally Official: 80gb Cowon A3

If you’ve been holding off on getting an A3 for some strange reason, perhaps a bump in capacity will push you over the edge. That’s right, Cowon’s little performer just got more junk in the trunk — 80GB of junk, to be exact. Sure, you’ll have to drop €448 (or [...]
COWON A3 Now 80GBThe COWON A3 PMP is not the best looking PMP in the world but it sure has a lot of fans, who I’m sure will be delighted that the A3 can now compete with other HDD PMPs in the market in terms of storage capacity. It’s not 250GB like China’s recent offerings but you get the COWON brand and what it all means in terms of quality and build. Specs and performance, presumably, is s

The D2 is a full featured PMP with a touch screen display and support for external memory via SD cards. That's of course if you think that 16GB is not enough for you. It will have all other features intact including the TV out function. The D2 16GB is available online in the US for a price of $240 that works out to about Rs. 10,000. This may be a great price for America, but what about India?

As lovely as the D2 is, we've always had a secret wish for it to offer up a bit more internal capacity. Apparently the higher-ups at Cowon have heard our inner cries, as a 16GB edition of the player is now available through JetMall. Aside from being more capacious, nothing else has changed, but if this was just the thing to push you over the edge, you can hand over your $240 right now and join the club.[Via AnythingButiPod]Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

iAudio COWON Q5W Review - TechTree align ="right" /> A review of the COWON Q5W multimedia player has been posted over at TechTree.com.'The iAudio COWON is much simple and elegant piece of hardware. That's one of its main features since the A3 has been criticized for being bulky and not looking like the style statement that one would like to see after parting with the big bucks for it. The COWON Q5W is slim and has a neat matte finish border with metal buttons done with chrome. This all makes it look, worth its price. The COWON Q5W has a large 5-inch touchscreen. The player is the same size as that of the A3 but with the implementation of the touchscreen the player has done away with the buttons thus providing larger view area.' The 16GB D2 has not officially arrived and it does not have an official price yet, but a German site already has the announcement posted and the details that the German public want such as price and availability are to be filled accordingly when the site gets them:(Via PMP Today.)

Cowon A3 gets reviewedIt's been quite a while since caught our first glimpses of what purported to be the Cowon A3, but it looks like the device's natural gadget news cycle is finally drawing to a close, with the usual in the wild and unboxing shots now followed by one of the first reviews. According to gadgetaholic.com, however, it seems like this particular product has been worth the wait, with the A3 making up for what it lacks (WiFi and Bluetooth) with sheer versatility, including support for seemingly every audio and video format one could want. The fact that it also has a 'gorgeous' 4-inch LCD screen and an apparently intuitive interface doesn't hurt either. About the only downsides the site could find were the lack of a remote control (which would have been handy given the unit's TV-out functionality), and the absence of a synced-up TV schedule for recording (you'll have to make do with timed recordings instead). Still, for about $350 or $400 depending on your storage nee
Cowon A3 unboxedAlthough Archos may have stolen some of its thunder with the less-expensive, arguably more full-featured 605 WiFi, Cowon is still hoping to ride the wave of buzz that followed its A3 PMP's launch at CES, as the first players are finally finding their way into consumers' hands almost a year later. Gadgetaholic's already got its hands on the 30GB version of this 4-inch device, and has posted some nice unboxing photos along with a few shots of the interface. Keep reading to check out the icon-based home screen, and then hit up the Read link for the full gallery plus some brief impressions....(Via Engadget.)
Cowon's been teasing us with its A3 personal media player for some time now, and it looks like the whole charade is now finally nearing a close, as the company has just announced the long-awaited US launch details for the PMP. According to Crave, the player will start shipping in early December, with it setting you back $349 and $399 for the 30GB and 60GB variations, respectively. If you've got a bit more money to spend, however, you may do well to consider Cowon's just-released Q5W player, which adds some WiFi to the equation, among other things.

Cowon L2 PMP has TPEG: "Cowon's L2 portable media player will go 'TPEG' as announced earlier today. TPEG stands for the Transport Protocol Expert Group, providing real-time information on traffic so that you'll be able to know whether there's a massive jam building up on the freeway because of an accident before you leave the office in order for you to make a detour. Not only that, should you accidentally drive into a gridlock, there is always PMP functions on the L2 itself to keep you entertained. Features include a 7' touchsceren display, DMB capability, Picture-in-Picture, and 2GB of memory among others. The Cowon L2 PMP retails for approximately €270. (Via UberGizmo, the Gadgets News Blog.)
You had the Cowon iAudio6 now welcome to the Cowon iAudio 7 PMP which seems to be making a good name for itself when it comes to the reviews and ratings, two big names that we admire and have respect for who have reviewed and rated the Cowon iAudio 7 are CNET and TrustedReviews and of which they have done a fantastic job.
What we would love to say is that the 4GB and the 8GB PMP is a cool gadget and we love it, ok there has been a few things said about the swing touch interface which is used to control the player but hey come on it looks stunning, the little problem with the swing touch is apparent to sensitive and too confusing. Some say that it is a pain because it lacks AAC playback (not the end of the world is it).
There is still without any arguments a lot of love and hype for its OGG and FLAC support and will truthfully be well loved as an iPod alternative.

Cowon's iAudio F2 is rammed with features, but sadly it's encased in an awkward exterior. Fortunately, it managed to redeem itself with great sound quality and easy management within Windows
Cowon has recently announced a snazzy-looking PVP called the Q5, and it's exploding with features -- much like a large pigeon explodes after eating rice, although much less hilarious. PVPs have become much more common over the last couple of years, thanks to improvements in battery technology and more efficient media-compression methods.
Just a few days after our unofficial report of the A3’s capacity upgrade, I received official word from Cowon about the new models. Both the A3, and their top of the line PMP, the Q5 will be upgraded to 80GB’s. While it’s nice to see Cowon catching up with the times, they still have [...]
