If the reports in today's newspapers are any indication, it appears Katie Couric could be on her way out as anchor of the CBS Evening News, possibly as soon as right after the Presidential Inauguration.Couric, who took over for interim anchor Bob Schieffer, has had close to 2 million fewer viewers than Schieffer did at certain points, though she was supposed to be the savior of the program. CBS News took a serious hit when Dan Rather's credibility was called into question several years ago over several stories involving President Bush's service in the Texas Air National Guard.CBS has also been in the midst of serious cutbacks in its news division, and dumping Couric's $15 million annual salary could help put the division back on track financially.

It would have required a lot more thought.” Now that she has been quoted saying her job sucks, and wishes she didn’t take it, I give her a few weeks before she gets canned or “quits” before getting fired. A lot of those people out here you consider knuckle draggers were loyal CBS News viewers in years gone by. I know because I was one of them. At one time I actually enjoyed the CBS Evening News. I grew up watching Walter Cronkite and then later Dan Rather on 60 Minutes and the nightly news. You’re a cutie Katie but the inside has some pretty ugly lib stuff going on.  Be a real journalist and at least try to be somewhat neutral with no agenda. If you need some advice talk to Cronkite or Rather…oh wait…. It will be interesting to see if CBS news decides to survive or continue on this self destructive path of political correctness. Katie Couric and CBS in Plagiarism Scandal
It looks as though CBS is up to their old tricks again, having plagiarized an article from the Wall Street Journal. I have to give them some credit though, they seem to be trying to change their ways. They have gone from forging official United States documents to simple plagiarism, so they are slowly getting better. I think with a little more hard work and determination they will be able to totally rehabilitate themselves from their criminal activity.  At least this event was just a story about libraries that they stole. When they forged the documents it was a blatant attempt to lie to the people and bring down a sitting president all in the attempt to relive some of what they consider their glory days- Watergate.
