We're both feeling pressurised today. The alarm wakes me and Hazel moans. So do I. But I have to get up and Hazel stays in bed. After slowing making a cup of black caffeine-free tea, I put on some eggs to hard boil for breakfast. To eat in the car. Suddenly its an hour later and I'm late. I'm simultaneously trying to peel the eggs, iron my clothes and clean my teeth. Hazel appears and says in one of her most serious tones that I need to cook her bacon and eggs before I head off. She says she's not in a good mood and I'd better show her some support today. As I haven't shown her any support. At all. Not since starting the diet. Time to get serious now...I knew that the past two weeks of dieting were working up to the day after labor day. I dieted for my show pretty heavy Monday through Saturday afternoon. I did not take starting pictures because I was too friggin fat and out of shape...I did take pictures after the first week of dieting and getting back to the gym.Here are the pictures...and boy...I have a long way to go...Although the video of me after week two shows definite improvement and I look in much better shape.Here is me after the second week of semi dieting and how funny.....I hate taking pictures of myself...but, I can see the difference and when your hungry it will keep you motivated!

I Love Valentine's Day! The flowers, chocolates, and all the expressions of love, oh my! Now back to business, you should really bake the cupcakes with the best chocolate you can afford. When I started baking years ago, I would use ...Hershey's (please don't hate me) or Baker's (again don't hate) in my recipes. By no means, am I condoning overpriced chocolate, but there is certainly a vast difference between Hershey's, Nestle, Valrhona, Callebaut, Green & Black's and so, on. You should really try some of the new cocoas out there. Some of the cocoas have a coffee note to them, if this is the case and the recipe calls for warm water, I usually replace it with coffee.
