A couple of days ago, I wrote about Indiana offering a scholarship to Jeffersontown’s Aaron Cosby. I’ve learned that Thursday Indiana coach Tom Crean and assistant Tim Buckley will travel to Louisville to watch Cosby in an open gym.
Cosby is already planning an unofficial visit to IU this coming weekend and he’ll be in Bloomington [...]
With the 2009 recruiting class wrapped up barring an unforeseen event, the Indiana coaching staff is shifting its focus to 2010 and beyond.
The latest to garner an offer from Tom Crean and company: 6-3 guard Aaron Cosby from Jeffersontown High School in Louisville, according to Jody Demling of The Courier-Journal:
Jeffersontown junior guard Aaron Cosby told [...]
A friend mentioned this book and I thought I’d probably be worth my while to pick it up and give it a read. So, I grabbed Come On People: On the Path from Victims to Victors, by Bill Cosby, from the library and gave it a quick read. It was decent, but I’m not sure [...]

Bill Cosby quips that he gave up his dreams of becoming a professional jazz drummer and turned to comedy after seeing how easily the pioneer bebop drummer Max Roach handled rhythmically complex tunes that he struggled to get through.
“I finally went to see Max play and he played a song ‘Parisian Thoroughfare’ that Bud Powell [...]
All week long Jimmy Kimmel will be modeling 3 of the sweaters that Bill Cosby wore when he played Dr Cliff Huxtable on a small TV show called The Cosby Show. Why is he bringing back a little piece of this ’80s classic back to TV? Well Bill Cosby is auctioning off 3 sweaters on [...]

Ok, is this a joke? Bill Cosby will be releasing a rap album titled "Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency." Bill Cosby wants to be a rapper. Ok Bill we get the message, you don't have to rap to us about it. According to the Associated Press, the 70-year-old tv/movie-star/comedian and outspoken opponent of profanity-laced, misogynistic rap has put together an effort that blends his concepts and stories with a hip-hop, pop and jazz soundtrack.
Bill Cosby knows how to get down with the J-E-L-L-O!… He’s apparently releasing a hip-hop album!! lol… good luck grandpa… The geriatric 70yr old is set to release his first hip-hop album, Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency, next month…
Cosby, who co-wrote and executive produced the disc, is said to have used influences from jazz, pop and hip-hop. Taking after Will Smith’s anti-curse rap route, Cosby’s album promises no “profanity, misogyny, violence and braggadocio" in describing “life in the 21st century.” Wow, much like your 80s sitcom fatherly duties, that takes some real talent there Dr. Hux. Personally, I couldn’t possibly describe anything past 1994 without a “dirty skank bitch ass hoe bag” or thrown in there somewhere, but to each his own.

It seems the circulating stories on a rap album from Bill Cosby are true, though the comedic star is leaving all of the rapping up to guests who will join him on the trek...

Bill Cosby over the past years has developed a stigma from a good portion of the black community for his demanding of social responsibility. The remarks he has made, however, should not be confined to just african americans, that which he is teaching can be applied univerally. Although he illustrates beautifully how a philosophy of love...

Last summer, in Detroit’s St. Paul Church of God in Christ, I watched Bill Cosby summon his inner Malcolm X. It was a hot July evening. Cosby was speaking to an audience of black men dressed in everything from Enyce T-shirts or polos to blazers and ties. [...]
Cosby has been telling thousands of black Americans that racism in America is omnipresent but that it can’t be an excuse to stop striving. As Cosby sees it, the antidote to racism is not rallies, protests, or pleas, but strong families and communities.
If you didn't catch the Obama race speech, you can read the transcript [Here]. As I watched this speech, I was appalled that Obama pulled out the race card to try and focus the attention on race instead of focusing on Obama's affiliation with Rev. Wright. If Obama was truly serious about looking at the issues that black community is facing, he would stop claiming racism at every turn and start listening to people like Bill Cosby. Bill Cosby has the courage to take a look at the real issues and urge the black community to examine themselves.Cosby put it so well in his now famous speech given in 2004 on the anniversary of Brown vs The board of education: Ladies and gentlemen, these people set -- they opened the doors, they gave us the right, and today, ladies and gentlemen, in our cities and
I’m trying to remember, but I think The Savage Brothers is, with the exception of Hero Squared, the finest thing Boom!’s put out. Savage Brothers is an absurdist, post-zombie apocalypse comedy with a heart (and some serious Star Wars rips). I can’t remember, but I don’t think the third issue ever came out as a floppy, so the collection is the first time to get it whole (again, might be totally wrong). Having only read the first issue previously and being impressed by Rafael Albuquerque’s art and the writing–Savage Brothers, I suspect, was a TV pitch, maybe a script treatment–but Albuquerque’s art really paces it well. The Savage Brothers is a sitcom comic, which seems to be the genre of choice among independents these days (at least as neither of the big two do any), and it’s light on the more sincere artistic intentions… but it’s comfortable with its lack of ambition. It’s a goofy, pleasant read, one not too deriv

MY favorite tv dad of all time is Clifford Huxtable from The Cosby Show, one of the very few shows I still watch in reruns. Today, Bill Cosby, the man who played Dr. Huxtable for eight hugely successful seasons, turns 70.
In addition to The Cosby Show, Bill played memorable roles in "I Spy", "Fat Albert" and the lesser known series, "Cosby".
Happy birthday Bill, and thank you for being a great dad, on screen and off.

Andrew Cosby (Eureka TV) y Matt Haley, este último es el dibujante de la adaptación al comic de Superman Returns, se preparan para presentar varios nuevos proyectos en la próxima Licensing Expo 2007. G.I.
X Isle is mostly concerned with its own hipness--the references to blockbusters are limitless, even past the obvious "Lost" reference of the whole series and characters all say really witty things for their dramatic situation. There's a visual reference, if not more, to the X-Files movie, there's some other stuff in there... but it's actually a neat book. The series is schziophrenic, which is why it works. It can't decide if it wants to be a sci-fi thing, a horror thing, a jungle thriller, a monster movie, a father and daughter story, a race drama, or a... well, I forgot. Oh, no I didn't. An academic thriller. It's all wacky and crazy and it's a consistently engaging read, even it does move too slow in parts--like the setup--and too fast in others. The third issue, for example, seemingly takes place over five or six minutes. Or not. But fast.Andrew Cosby and Michael Alan Nelson's dialogue is occasionally clunky. It's funny--I just read a review of DC's 1970s Justice League vol
I'm a big fan of talking stuffed animals. I'm not sure if it's an established genre (it should be), but I also think whoever makes these things, they're going to make a fortune. Who wouldn't want a walking talking teddy bear? Who knows, they could make farting sounds at inopportune moments and so on.Mr. Stuffins (so far, it is only the first issue) features no such scenes, but instead has the bear as a espionage agent, dedicated to protecting his owner. Instead of over-explaining the bear being reprogrammable or the government computer scientist programming in the same language as toy companies, writers Cosby and Stokes ignore all that malarkey and concentrate on what works--a teddy bear who's a secret agent. There's a good deal of time spent on the boy's family problems (parents separated, teenage daughter dating man on motorcycle) and it doesn't really contribute anything. It's a standard troubled family (the dad even works too much) but it does a couple things: first, it do
Here is a video showing a joke from Carlos Mencia’s “No Strings Attached” is very similar to Bill Cosby’s “Himself”, which both are about a son playing football:
Typical of Cosby's style of stinging and controversial commentary, he also faulted the love shown to the late rapper Tupac Shakur. He said it was crazy for Shakur, who was fatally shot in Las...
