I had to make a post about this. During last nights game against the Lakers, Corey Maggette was trying to get the last shot of the quarter. He then dribbled the ball off his leg into the other half of the court, he then scambled to picked the ball and throw up a desperation shot.
Amazing shot but it should have been a backcourt violation. Oh well.

Former Colts defensive tackle Corey Simon retired from the NFL today after trying to resume his career with the Tennessee Titans.He says practice and games started wearing on his body again.Simon was sidelined by Indianapolis last year on the non-football illness/injury list and confirmed that he had dealt with polyarthritis in 2006. He signed with Tennessee on August 28th and played in 4 of the Titans' six games.But he says recovering from each game and practice finally became too much.The 30-year-old Simon says he tried to continue as long as he could, but the pain was telling his body it was time to leave football.Simon was the sixth overall pick in the 2000 draft by Philadelphia. The Colts did a move today that was not exactly unexpected, as they terminated the contract of veteran defensive tackle Corey Simon. The rumors of the release of Simon has been coming for weeks, and finally on Saturday the team announced following a scrimmage that Simon’s contract was terminated. On Wednesday Colts owner Jim Irsay had said that he expected to release the former Pro Bowl tackle within a few days. Simon failed a physical last weekend, basically sealing his fate.
He was expected to report to camp on time July 29 but was never seen at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. Simon did not play last season and was placed on the non-football illness/injury list with an undisclosed ailment. Two seasons ago in what ended up being his only season on the field with the Colts, Simon played in 13 games, gaining 34 tackles, no sacks. He came to the Colts after five seasons with the Eagles. The Criminal Detective Unit (CDU) last night said at a press conference on Thompson Boulevard that Corey Hepburn was found at approximately 8pm hiding out in a building in Coral Harbour. Police said that they also found a small quantity of marijuana in the building.On intelligence, plain dressed CDU officers were able to apprehend Hepburn in a matter of minutes; which were uneventful. The Police said that they are going to 'beef-up' the search by offering a ten thousand dollar ($10,000) reward. I'm pretty sure that someone will give him up for that money. All over the Interweb today are reports of Corey Dillon asking to be released from his contract with the New England Patriots.
