Background
Copper is the oldest metal used by man. It’s use dates back to prehistoric times. Copper has been mined for more than 10,000 years with a Copper pendant found in current day Iraq being dated to 8700BC. By 5000BC Copper was being smelted from simple Copper Oxides.
Copper is found as native metal and in the minerals cuprite, malachite, azurite, chalcopyrite and bornite. It is also often a by-product of silver production. Sulphides, oxides and carbonates are the most important ores.
Copper and Copper alloys are some of the most versatile engineering materials available. The combination of physical properties such as strength, conductivity, corrosion resistance, machinability and ductility make copper suitable for a wide range of applications. LME Copper stock has for the first time in last 3 weeks gone down by 2625 tons. If this continues, is would be a strong signal of an upward breakout .
For now , sit tight and watch out further stock numbers. Sub prime fears have eased up now and it would be fair to say that they now do not matter.
Copper has today seen a major dip after an uptick in the last week. I am a firm beleiver that in the long run metal prices will outdo shares/bonds/stocks.
However the market situation for Copper and Zinc is jittery and small blips might be expected.

I was browsing the Food Network's website the other day and I saw a section entitled Kitchen Design. Well, I love kitchens and I love design. Actually, that second part isn't true.
