The Department of Health wants to know what Londoners think of the NHS, and is blowing £15 million to find out in an ill-conceived public relations disaster called the NHS Conversation. Sadly, we don’t seem so eager to tell them – a mere 1500 people have responded to the first questionnaire, and enthusiasm doesn’t seem to be mounting for the next round. I had an interesting conversation with a teacher in a different movement discipline. He said that teachers who give students a ton of material, or a bunch of technically difficult material, do so because they aren't comfortable with their own level of skill. He went on to say that there are a multitude of nuances in a single movement that can be explored in an entire class. If a teacher can do that, the teacher shows a depth of knowledge that will benefit the student far more than learning a lot of things poorly. I tend to agree with him, but I think in a world of 8 week wonders and pow-pow-pow dancers, it's difficult to sell that to an American belly dance student. When I was posed with this question from my boyfriend. I was a little taking off. At first I said I do think men who fall into sin and cheat on their wives, should still be able to preach; but to be gay and preach from the pulpit is not right. I myself was not sure why these two sins are so left and right. I then posed the question to my dad. And the final piece (Parts 1 and 2) to this investing saga, which I 100% am comfortable with comes now. I am completely on board with Charles Schwab. I like their fundamentals, and the way they “pull back the curtain”. They tell me how they make money off me and don’t try to put me into funds I don’t want to be in. Hopefully it’ll be a change from the bad decisions I’ve made so far…
