Hey vixens! So here is a pic that I took yesterday. To cover up my scars, I used Revlon's Beyond Natural Concealer and Highlighter and to my surprise, it actually matched my skin better than the Black Radiance Perfect Tone Loose Powder. Now I am curious to find out if the Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup in Medium-Deep will work for me. I didn't use any powder but I did use my pink
I swear I must be the Queen of the Damned when it comes to my horrendous under-eye circles (well maybe they're not THAT bad, but still...me no like!); and I know that I for sure am the queen of concealer testing. I have probably explored every concealer on the market and I admit that I have yet to find one that I am 100% pleased with. Some do justice, others work well and some are just a waste but

I was "fortunate" (in a VERY sarcastic tone) enough to have a small little accident this weekend that caused a few facial cuts that require the need for cover-up while out in public. This little incident reminded me of yet another reason why I love being a woman: being able to freely use concealer to cover facial imperfections without feeling self conscious about using it. Don't get me wrong..
Hey vixens,TodayI am going to share my commentary on Revlon's Beyond Natural Concealer andHighlighter. First off, Iwas lucky that Revlon's Beyond Natural medium-deep shade matched my skinperfectly. However, brown vixens may find that this concealer is a little bitashy unless they are able to blend it in well enough or pair it with anotherconcealer/product to make it work for them.

In a blink of an eye, it's the middle of the week again. Gosh, where did the time go, eh? Two more days to the weekend, whee! Before I move on to this week's poll, I'd like to give a shout out to Geekchic, for today's her birthday! Happy birthday babes! :)Okay, today's question is: what type of concealer do you use? For me, believe it or not, I use all three. Not all at once, of course. During the

Beauty is one of our prime pursuits as we go about our daily lives. The society we live in places a lot of emphasis on our looks. How we look greatly determines how the society around us will consider us. We subconsciously draw conclusions about individuals within the first one minute, often before anything has been said. Within this one minute, you will have decided whether the person is nice, ha
Makeup serves one purpose- to create an illusion. Makeup can create the illusion of having flawless skin, a smaller nose, larger eyes and smoother lips. But, when makeup is used haphazardly as a beauty utensil, it can magnify wrinkles, deepen the look of scars and make your pores look like moon craters. In three simple steps, you can use the true power of makeup to properly conceal acne damaged sk
When I was looking for a good concealer, I did not have time to look into what actually makeup artists recommend and what application tricks they are using. So in this post I will mention the concealers I tried out and share some YouTube vids I found useful. A couple videos are by makeup artists and one is a show episode from Tyra Banks where she gives tips based on her experience as a model. Concelaers/Highlighters I've tried:So I've tried concealers from Bobbi Brown's Creamy Concealer Kit (available with loose powder), MAC (comes in a small container with a brush applicator), L'Oreal (comes in a pen with a brush applicator),Bourjouis(pen-brush), Laura Mercier's Undercover (combines Secret Camouflage & Secret Concealer in one compact), Dior's Skin Flash (comes in a pen-brush applicator),
After being rather frustrated with the texture of Make Up Store’s wand concealer, I decided to forsake it and got myself a tube of Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer.

I love concealers....i feel that a concealer is a must for people with imperfect skin.Foundation alone just wouldn't do it.Normally after moisturizer, I will dab on some concealer on spots that i would like to cover. Such spots includes pimples, acne scars, freckles....the dark under eye, eye bags...etc.After concealer will then come the foundation. I will even-out the foundation with a sponge. I used to only use my fingers rather than using a sponge....but recently, i've discovered that you can actually have better coverage and more even spread by using a sponge as compared to the fingers. But of course after this step, the imperfections that we tried to cover up earlier with the concealer will start to show up again.....not to worry.......cover up again with the concealer after foundatio
Still hunting for a perfect concealer, I tried out Helena Rubinstein’s Magic Concealer, had a brief look at Dior’s SkinFlash and gave another chance to YSL’s Touche Eclat.Helena Rubinstein’s Magic Concealer comes in a tube without an applicator. I liked its texture: light, easy to apply and blend into the skin. I think this is one of the least noticeable concealers I’ve tried out! It also offers a very good coverage. Though after some time and a bit of laughing, you do notice a couple lines …I have recently read that Dior's SkinFlash is great to camouflage dark circles so I briefly looked at it. Just like YSL’s Touche Eclat, it is a highlighter. When I was already back home and looked at Dior’s site, I discovered that they have a product specially made for under eye area: A
Yesterday I continued my concealer hunt and checked out a couple more products. What I learnt while trying out all these products is that you need to apply a bit of a moisturizer before a concealer. If you have dry skin around eyes, concealer doesn’t slide on nicely, gets immediately into the smallest creases and gives you this desperate-to-conceal look. This time I paid a visit to Laura Mercier counter. Laura Mercier offers several products to cover up those circles and imperfections: Secret Camouflage, Secret Concealer, Under Cover, Secret Brightener.Secret Concealer (photo on the left) is developed specially for eye area and is described as “moisture rich”. On Mercier’s website it is available in 3 tones ranging from very light to medium intensity. However in real life these tone

I have been trying to find a quality concealer for quite some time. My goal is to conceal the under-eye shadows. Up till now mission looks impossible!I am not expecting too much from a concealer: I just want it to conceal - NOT reveal. I don’t want it to accentuate lines under my eyes and form creases after I smile or laugh a couple time… I don’t want it to look like it is REALLY there…. Like you could really tell I have something to conceal… So I have been trying out some products for several weeks now and then… I have to admit, I can be very picky…First, I tried out the famous and renowned concealer star by YSL. I was not happy with the way it looked like I did paint over my eye circles. Perhaps it was the wrong shade. I might give it another try since it seems to be so pop
Have you heard about “True Concealer” by Alison Raffaele? This is another one of the top selling makeup products right now. After scouring the internet for information about this concealer product, I’ve managed to find that most people who buy it, like it. However, I was not able to find one negative review about the product which leaves me skeptical. Very rarely do you find a product that’s perfect.
If you have had any experience with the “True Concealer” by Alison Raffaele, please feel free to comment and help us out! Thank you!
Tell me no secrets and I’ll tell you no lies. No one needs to just look at you and know that you went out for the past three nights and got absolutely no sleep.
I recently stopped by the Prescriptives counter to check out what might be new and low and behold, a custom concealer! If you have dark circles and you’re not the average Caucasian woman, you may have had difficulty at some point finding a concealer that matches your skin and actually conceals. Search no more! This concealer comes in whatever color you need because they actually make it for you (as you wait) based on your individual coloring (if you don’t know already, they also make custom foundations).
The texture of the concealer is also adjustable. Alone, it’s a matte consistency. If you find that it’s too matte, they add an oil-free moisture additive, it’s that easy. It has great coverage and sets on its own so you don’t need to powder over it (and risk being cakey under your eyes).

Concealer is always one of the most important steps of the makeup routine. Just a few dabs of this miracle worker, and you can look like you’ve been sleeping all day long! Sue Devitt’s Automatic Camouflage Concealer - Bermuda Triangle is a great pick–it will keep you looking bright and flawless!
This concealer has a special peach tone that is designed to counteract blue and green under-eye circles, making them disappear. Its exclusive ingredient Nylon-12 ensures a soft, flexible formulation, so you can have the best, long-lasting coverage! All you have to do is apply a few strokes under each eye and blend, and you’ll look instantly well-rested! I love the packaging as well, not only is the sky blue shade gorgeous, but you can stick this right in your purse for touch-ups! You can get it for $23 here.
Also, FINALLY picked up a tube of the very famous Cle de Peau Concealer that EVERYBODY raves about. InStyle has featured it every year in their annual 'Best Beauty Buys'. It is as amazing as everyone says. LOVE it.The consistency is lovely, it goes on creamy and dries matte, has wonderful staying power and very true colors. The best part: the packaging. It has what has become my favourite case ever, it is so old-world glamour, reminds me of 1920's Hollywood, it has a nice weight to it, not cheap and flimsy plastic and a very austere dark blue color with accents of gold to give it light and glamour!!! Who would thought concealer could bring such joy!!At Bergdorf Goodman CdP is having a Spa/Facial event May 3rd and 4th, this is a great way to get an in depth look at what products you should be using on your skin. I was introduced to this brand by a friend, and am fast finding lots of great things in them. Today, I’ll review their newest concealer, Full Cover.
This concealer is touted as an extreme camouflage concealer. What it means, I think is that its thick enough to cover even the most extreme of imperfections on the skin, and this includes tattoos! The official spiel offers this piece of wisom:-
Full Cover

Waterproof and long-lasting, it holds even under extreme conditions thanks to its perfectly stable formula. It evens the skin tone and camouflages imperfections for a long period of time
I’ve been using this concealer in #4 for about 10 days now. #4 is the perfect colour for me. It melts into my natural skintone, and it doesn’t even look like I’m using any concealer at all. My skintone just looks eve
Touche Magique is a concealer pen by L’oreal made specially for concealing dark undereye circles. It has illuminating properties to brighten the under-eye area.
I test drove this after a night of drinks and not sleeping well. It gave me a smooth clear look, like as though I’d just woken up after 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep! Every girl should keep this gem in their makeup stash!!
There are only 2 shades available here - 03 and 04. If you are fair 03 will suit you fine. However, if you are very tanned/dark you might not be able to find a match in this line. I don’t know why but I can’t seem to find much stock at the L’oreal counters. Are they discontinuing this item? Or do they just not stock many of it?
The brush part can feel rather hard sometimes and if you aren’t careful it feels scratchy around your sensitive eye area. I usually clean the brush with some tissue paper after every use and I found that regular cleaning seems to make it feel softe
Benefit lyin' eyes is officially my favorite concealer. The click-pen with a soft built-in brush keeps the application non-messy and convenient. The texture is so smooth it goes on like second skin, so much more elegant than many other cakey kinds. I put it under ...
