They need a rental for obvious reasons since they do a lot of travel and taking taxis can be expensive and inconvenient. In the 70s and 80s renting a car on vacation gained popularity and now it is a big part of the rental market. It is common to rent cars at your arrival airport so you can easily get to and from the airport and your destination. So what if you're going to a city with plenty of public transportation? Now, General Motors and Mahindra and Mahindra are also re-working on the quantum of increase in costs. The car companies were contemplating on increasing costs by Rs 4,000 to Rs 16,000. Steel forms a major component of car manufacturing and the slightest rise will result in a huge leap in overall costs. The rollback has brought a huge relief to car buyers particularly the small car buyers, for whom the slightest rise will add burden to the total expenditure. It could also give some more time to buyers who have missed the April deadline to go for cars now

The settlement was filed Wednesday with U.S. District Judge Shira Scheindlin in New York, who is presiding over the 153 settled lawsuits brought by municipalities. Great Example of How Drug Companies Fool You With "New" Drugs
FDA just approved GlaxoSmithKline’s new drug Treximet for acute treatment of migraines in adults. So does that mean Treximet is a fabulous new breakthrough treatment for migraines? No. It is a combination of Imitrex (soon to be available as a generic) and naproxen sodium (commonly known as Aleve, available Over the Counter). How much would it cost a patient to take these 2 drugs separately? Naproxen sodium can be had for about 8 cents a pill. A single Aleve pill has 220 mg of naproxen sodium. There’s 500 mg of naproxen sodium in Treximet, so a patient would have to take about 2 1/4 Aleve pills to get to 500 mg. Since you can’t really take 1/4 of a pill, let’s assume most patients would take 2. 2 pills would give you 440 mg, so that’s pretty close to the 500 mg. Cost: 16 cents.

'Turmoil in global credit markets is hindering the Bank of Canada's efforts to reduce borrowing costs for individuals and companies'
From: Carney warns rate relief will be slow to reach consumers Turmoil in global credit markets is hindering the Bank of Canada's efforts to reduce borrowing costs for individuals and companies. In its latest assessment of the economy, the central bank warned that even if it continues to lower its benchmark rate, rates lenders charge on mortgages and loans may rise. Commercial lenders are paying more to get credit themselves in markets that remain reluctant to share money, the Bank of Canada said in its Monetary Policy Report. Since the credit crisis kicked off last summer, banks have recovered only about three-quarters of their increased borrowing costs by charging higher rates to their customers. That's not likely to last, Governor Mark Carney said. "We do expect that to u
