- I’ve noticed a few comments on this blog and on various IU message boards across the Web asking what effect, if any, Tom Pritchard’s commitment to IU will have on Tyler Zeller and Kevin Jones.
First off, I don’t think Pritchard’s commitment is a sign that IU isn’t going to land Zeller or Jones. I’m not saying that they’ll land either guy because I think it’s still totally up in the air. But I think some of the comments trying to link the Pritchard commitment to the sentiment that we’re not getting Zeller or Jones are off base. Rest assured, both guys are at the top of IU’s wishlist.
As far as the scholarship numbers go, the Hoosiers appear to be fine in that department. D.J. White, A.J. Ratliff, Mike White and Lance Stemler are all seniors. You’ll also have Kyle Taber’s scholarship freed up after the season. (Taber has Ben Allen’s scholarship for the upcoming season.) And one has to think there’s a go

Inside the Hall: Why did you decide that IU was the right place for you?
Derek Elston: I wanted to stay close to home and my friends and family. I just knew that playing for the Hoosiers was the place for me.
ITH: What was it about the way IU recruited you that set them apart from other schools?
DE: The coaching staff, definitely. They treated me like I was already there, like I was already a Hoosier.
ITH: Position wise, how do yourself fitting in at the college level?

I work for an Episcopal church during the day, and over the last three years things have slowing taken a turn for the worst. Of course you have the whole ordaining of a gay bishop thing, and then the pastor miss handled some things badly, and he was removed. LUSAKA, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) — UN special envoy on HIV-AIDS in Africa Elizabeth Mataka said here Friday that she will concentrate on uplifting the plight of women and children in her tenure of office.
Mataka expressed concern at the increasing vulnerability among women and children especially in Africa.
