Why Are TV Commercials So Loud?
Its not you. Those TV spots really do sound much louder than the programs they interrupts. Here's why:Spots are noisy because they can beThe FCC doesn't make any regulatory distinctions between the sound levels of commercial and the sound levels of program. But the experience is similar is similar to having a flashbulb go off every now and then versus a spotlight shining in your eyes all the time.

Some of us have cable packages that enable us to watch films fairly soon after they come out, for a nominal fee. For those hard-core individuals who’re really into saving money, you can just wait until the film comes out on HBO, Cinemax, or even basic cable.

With companies paying such large amounts of money for these ads, you would think everyone would be a hit. But that's not the case with 2008. In fact, many people are saying 2008 SuperBowl commercials may be the worse in years.Godaddy stated back in August that they would not be airing a SuperBowl commercial this year. However, it looks like they changed their minds as they will have a SuperBowl commercial directing people to go their website and view a racy Danica Patrick video.
