Belgium is most likely the only country in the world to possess a statute to honor the “pigeon soldat” or soldier pigeon and his contribution during both Great World wars.
Whether released at 500 m or 100 km from home, even in certain cases over 1,500 km, the messenger pigeon has that fantastic ability to always [...]

After visiting the Toyota Automobile Museum earlier this year, I was inspired to visit Toyota's other showpiece museum in Nagoya, the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry & Technology, not far from Nagoya Station.I was not disappointed; the museum is superb. The museum is housed in the original red brick buildings of the Toyoda (the forerunner of present-day Toyota Corp) textile factory and
We got our first look at Shelby's 85th Commemorative GT40 back in January at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. It's as close as you can get to the real thing without spending millions on an original GT40 with the chassis and body nearly perfectly replicating the original. Shelby Distribution has now issued an updated press release as well as the official photos. The GT40, built by Superformance but officially badged a Shelby, celebrates both Carroll's 85th birthday as well as the dominating 1-2-3 Le Mans win in 1966. It's available in all three colors of the original race cars - Arcadian Blue, Black, and Red - as well as unique Shelby badging on the door handles, headlights, side graphics, and floor mats. No engine specs are available since each comes as a rolling chassis, but the
This limited edition packaging features one-of-a-kind artwork said to reflect Microsoft’s beliefs for hand-crafted design and user-experiences. This is really something not Microsoft always do.The Expression team of professional designers scribbled each and every pack to make each copy of the commemorative edition unique. So every copy is visibly different.
Innovative Kitchen, invited Chi McBride to be a part of the design process behind a 1 of 1 commemorative AF1 to honor DUKE University’s Coach Krzyzewski and his historic 800th win. I have dozens of albums and folders in which I put my quarter collections. This folder is one of my favorites. It is beautiful and sturdy. Sure the multi-page albums are a lot nicer but also cost four times the price. So if you want a good looking strong folder, and do not want to spend too much money, this is the folder for you. Here are the pros and cons:PROS: 1- Whitman produces one of the most beautiful coins folders in the market. 2- Fits the entire state quarter collection including both Denver and Pennsylvania mints. 3- Coins do not touch each other. 4- Opens to display entire collection. 5- Extra information on the States such as: Statehood Date, Capital, Flower, Song and Nickname (Alaska's nickname is The Last Frontier. Pretty cool, huh?) 6- Its PriceCons: 1- Quarters holes are sm

As I wandered through the Detroit Autorama at Cobo Hall on Friday, looking for Corvettes, and in total amazement at the beautiful display of sheet metal and rolled fiberglass composite, I encountered a former client of mine.
As we chatted for a few, Larry Baker explained to me that he had acquired a vehicle in which I, as an author of the Corvette Blog, would be interested. And was he ever correct! He is an owner of a 50th Commemorative Corvette!
Larry’s story is told on-line. Better yet, more product is available, so you can get one, too!
