Swiss investment bank Credit Suisse has laid out plans for a combined soccer/ice hockey stadium in Zurich that would host the city's three biggest professional sports teams (that would be Grasshoppers, F.C. So this one time, at some museum or another (I’m pretty sure it was the SciTrek) and there was this interactive thingy where you peddled a bike to light up lights, and the harder/faster your peddled, the more lights came on.
Last night my husband was watching something on different sources of power and one of them was wind power, and how it could be captured and stored in a battery. “Wind storms are welcomed” said the voice over.
And for some reason I thought about that bike in that museum and me trying to light up the tip-top light and then a lightbulb went on over MY head….
There are a lot of gyms out there, right? And they all have exercise bikes. And gym bunnies ride these bikes, right? They pedal hard and fast, right.
Why are they not lighting up bulbs?
Hook some generators or batteries or whatever to all those bikes and store that power.
Just imagine how many light bulbs that one spinning class could light up.
