Some time ago, well back in February it was announced that Neonode would be launching their flagship N2 mobile handset in a variety of additional colours. Well that time has now arrived and aside from Noenode’s original black handset, the N2 can now be acquired in Roza, Rubine, Azure, and Lime, or for us simpler [...]
On the very same day that we covered Dell introducing new colours to its XPS M1530 and M1330 laptops (including pink), and the same day we posted about Belkin’s new iPod Nano ‘pink ribbon’ cases comes news that Swedish mobile communication company Neonode are now offering their highly desirable touchscreen Neonode N2 handsets in four new colours – and, yes, a pink N2 is included.

If the sound of Cut Copy’s new album In Ghost Colours (their second record, and an improvement over their enjoyable but somewhat stolid debut Bright Like Neon Love) were encapsulated in a conversation, it would go something like this: ...
Well, this is actually a stamp that a very good friend of mine had sent me. She wanted to see how I've used it. I'm actually not much into colouring the image therefore I've came up with this idea. I've found a page in an old magazine that I love and simply stamp that image on it using a black solvent ink. Later, I've cut it out to use it in my card project. This really saves me lots of time in colouring it and the different composition of the magazine page did create some interesting pattern on the image.
I just saw the New Sony Bravia website, and i can tell you that it is awesome. The 5.1 sound, the colours and the very intuitive layout using Papervision 3D, makes this site a good example of what can be done and achieved by a webdesigner. Upload a picture, choose your colour and name it. [...]

There's a sheen across the surface of In Ghost Colours, stretched like layers of plastic wrap in all the colors of the rainbow. Working with DFA producer Tim Goldsworthy, Cut Copy has created a record that admits its inspirations through each of those layers, from Depeche Mode, New Order, and vintage synth-pop to all the lighthearted radio singles that were ever written around words as simple and universal as "baby," "secret," "heart," and "fire."
Following on from the increasing trend to offer peripherals in all manner of colours, and hot on the heels of even the likes of Microsoft embracing the idea that colour choice is indeed a selling point, Western Digital have announced a new range of colour schemes for their My Passport Essential 320GB, 250GB, 160GB and 120GB external portable hard drives.
Microsoft, in a bid to appear trendy no doubt, have announced that they will be making a range of new pastel coloured Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 versions available courtesy of a special edition range thus allowing you to ass a splash of colour to your trusty one eyed rodent.

Azure: Down the hill from our cabin, there was a small bridge that led to a dock that led to an inlet on the Bermudian shore. As soon as our feet hit the wood, the water grew turbulent with all kinds of tropical fish from gigantic groupers to tiny clowns clammering for the bread they suspected we had.Black: I bought a bottle of black chinese ink at a local grocery with which to affect age on tin foil for a project I was developing. It smelled strongly of both rubber and gasoline and stained my fingertips for days to come. That bottle sits in a drawer unopened since that first use, because its strange chemical smell frightens me a little.Charcoal: I found a chunk of lightweight rock in our front yard that left sooty marks on my hands. Is this a meteor? I asked, because I had just hear
What colours are easiest to read? which show off my paintings the best? - so it's not just a general preference but related to the work of mine that I'm showing. Some people find it difficult to read text on a dark background - I find the glare of white tiring - I've been playing with the different templates and though none are quite right, this one still seems to be the best for my work. The white background looked ok but dazzling. The blues killed some of the paintings and the beige and browns didn't work either. A charcoal grey might be nice but I don't know quite how to do it!What do you think?,
Dewy fresh skin is one of Spring's hottest looks this year, here are some great tips on how to sport the look yourself!! Firstly moisturise your skin & use a good rich moisturiser for this, then apply a light foundation, take a bristle brush & 'fluff' the foundation in circular motions this will create a soft & almost airbrushed effect, best brush for this, try Mac's 'Duo Fibre Brush' (£28).Next step in achieving your dewy glow is in the blush, opt for a cream blusher which will give a sheen to your skin with a flush of colour, try Mac's BlushCreme, apply to the apple of your cheeks (soft fleshy part you'll find when you smile) & blend upwards across the cheekbone, lightly blending outwards to give a soft finish. For the soft 'pink' look that is the colour for this season go for Mac's 'B
Until now, I have never actually realized the true beauty of the Balls commercial for Sony Bravia. Probably because I've never seen the whole ad, only fragments, or the short version. But thanks to the Internet and Stumble Upon, I discovered that there was more than meets the eye. This wonderful ad was filmed on the streets of San Francisco and is spiced with some great music. The beautiful track that sets the mood for the commercial is "Heartbeats" by Jose Gonzalez taken from his debut album "Veneer". So sit back watch the video and enjoy... I know I did :)

Weeks ago, I dipped into Orhan Pamuk's Other Colors: Essays and a Story, as I said I would. I start in the middle and find myself driven forward, wondering what happens next, and finally it occurs to me to ask what came before.Sampling these essays at random, it turns out, is not the best approach. The preface holds the key. (Sadly I was not forced to read the preface when first I opened the book.) Pamuk has arranged these ideas and fragments deliberately, into a continuous narrative.I have always believed there to be a greedy and almost implacable graphomaniac inside me — a creature who can never write enough, who is forever setting life in words — and that to make him happy I need to keep writing. But when I was putting this book together, I discovered that the graphomaniac would be
"Jen P" over at "What Jen Finds Out" is determined to drag me up the blogging learning curve and has kindly passed on this token of friendship. I refuse to write all that mushy stuff about relationships as I might split my stiff upper lip.Traditionally, in other parts of the world, Boxing Day means that trades people who have helped maintain your household and sanity throughout the year, pop around to collect their tips, where the homeowner has the opportunity to show their appreciation for other people's hard work and support. As I look around at the recipients it would seem there are a great many connections already, but there's now harm in spreading it a little further. As I sit here surrounded by small people playing with Pokemon, I can easily pop along to "Chelle" at "Crazy Thoughts," to catch up and share.Another prodigious blogger is "Holly" at "Fragile X" where the six of them muddle along much the way that everyone else does, especially this one that made me chuckle "today
"Elissa" from "Managing Autism" has kindly passed on this token of friendship. I refuse to write all that mushy stuff about relationships as I might split my stiff upper lip. Whilst I am tempted to quote 'Bah Humbug,' at this time of year I should probably slough off such Grinch like associations.Firstly I should like to pass this on to "slouching mom" over at "slouching towards 40." This is only fair because the first time I acknowledged this little gemlet I had the outrageous nerve to call her 'sloughing' instead of 'slouching.' Did she harbour evil thoughts towards me following this transgression? No, not a bit of it. In true magnanimous American style she just shrugged it off as of no consequence.I often toddle over to another little spot where the "Queen" hangs out at the "Queen of Dysfunction." She's an annoying little devil without a blogging schedule. This of course is deliberate on her part just to ensure that she causes as much irritation as possible. Fortunat
I’m delighted to say that I passed my theory test with flying colours - 39 out of 40 correct . I know the exact question I stumbled on, which was the only one I really had to put any effort into answer.
Q: (Picture of a car in Fog) - What are the road safety issues pictured:
1: Reduced Visability
2: Danger of ‘aquagliding’ due to rain
3: Being dazzled by oncoming drivers headlights
4: Danger of low-hanging branches hitting your car
The green ones are the answers I answered, but on consideration after the exam it could possiblybe the one highlighted in red. It was a bit of a trick question or one of those ’stupid questions’ in my previous post. The image did not show any rain, only fog - therefore there would be no immediate danger of ‘aquagliding’, but instead a danger of being dazzled by oncoming head & fog lights.

They do everything to cheer up the table, are vibrant and full of Christmas spirit. Closer to Christmas, I will be doing a batch to hang up on the small tree that the kids dress up. Our favourite Christmas cookies, 'Iced Sugar Cookies', iced in Xmas colours. The basic cookie recipe is the same one that I use for 'Smartie Cookies'. Its a very versatile one, and works well with this recipe, as well as for the 'Stained Glass Christmas Cookies'. For the icing, I used powdered sugar mixed with just enough water to make it thick & flowing, then coloured it with Christmas colours, and drizzled it on the cookies. I leave them to dry out overnight, and sometimes give them a minute in a hot
Earlier today I posted a gorgeous indie pop track by Tellus About The Moon, and tonight it's time to post another one by an equally wonderful indie pop band; Sunny Summer Day. The Indonesian trio is currently giving away a new track called Colours of Fantasy and even though it will only be available as a free download for a limited period of time, the band has given me permission to post it in the blog. Back in September the band released a 3 track EP on Cloudberry Records and hopefully this lovely new recording indicates that more stuff is in the making!+ Colours of Fantasy

When it comes to the category of slider mobile phones, Samsung rules the roost. Truly, Samsung is the king of sliders and no one comes to it, especially in this segment. Even prominent mobile phone makers like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and LG sigh in front of it in making slider phones. Let's take the examples of Samsung U-Series and G-Series phones. While Samsung U600 and U700 are niche slider handsets, the coming soon Samsung G800 will also be a slid

Autumn coloursA small quick sketch in watercolour - the autumn fields are looking lovely, some have been freshly ploughed and the hawthorn, blackthorn and beech hedges are gorgeous colours. Well they have been gorgeous colours - it's been windy today so as I travel to work tomorrow I may find all the leaves have blown away, they are on their last fling and just a little wind will mean goodbye to all that gorgeous colour and those lovely golden carpets of leaves will fade.I love the long shadows at this time of year as I travel to work in the early mornings through the countryside and autumn skies are wonderful and dramatic. Seeing the vivid golden leaves against a threatening purple sky is so beautiful :)

Daryl Scatcherd on the (very far) rightDaryl Scatcherd, the President of the Exeter University Debating Society has shown his true colours at last. Since we printed an article on his attempts to invite the BNP to speak on campus, we've been following the story with great interest and, with the help of a few of our friends, have managed to dig up a few interesting tidbits.Scatcherd has been desperate to get the BNP on campus for a while now but in numerous emails to people enquiring about the debate and asking if the BNP had in fact been invited, he has repeatedly stated that there were never plans to invite anyone from the party. However, an email released to us states clearly that an invitation was intended then withdrawn to Danny Lake, the Head of the Young BNP and a student at Bath University.Back in late 2006, Scatcherd wrote to Exeposé, the Student's Union magazine, 'I am not a supporter of the BNP and fully dismiss their irrational racist claims...'Using the BNP's usual lin

Just by way of breaking the silence I have done this little collage in celebration of Autumn this year. The colours of the leaves on our trees have been breathtaking and astounding.......more so than usual !! I have had a very busy period at college lately and have found it really difficult to put time aside for crafting, much to my annoyance. However, now I have made the break I expect I will be doing a lot more posting from now on.

Everyone of us has our own way to relax that tired mind and spirit. While some will choose a game of golf and others a spa massage, there are those who relax over a coffee by themselves to relax their mind. Exercise and fitness are both great ways to relax as long you don’t overdo it. For me, I enjoy traveling, trod on new or familiar places and learn a new culture. Being an art student, I feel relaxed over a calm and tranquil painting in an art gallery or museum. On days when I’m tired, a cheerful painting can enlighten and bring comfort as colours is a wonderful form of therapy.
I enjoy the works of Monet and Paul Cezanne especially the way they depict nature and living things in vivid, lively and subtle hues but I can’t afford any of them. Beholding them can add the extra ambience in the house or living home when you chose one that complements your interiors. But I am told that Overstock Art is a great place to buy art reproductions by these masters of art. They
Men and women worldwide are embracing the 1980’s acid colours this season, modern neon outfits have graced the catwalks and have spred onto the streets - for a second time. To avoid a flashback tothe 80’s stick to modern cuts and stear away from patterns.
Match bright outfits with black tights with some acid heels to finish off the outfit. Experiment with colours but do think about what you are putting together, you don’t want to clash eg: red and pink don’t make for a good combination.
If you normally wear dark clothes use accessories to brighten up your outfit instead of going full-on colour straight away, but if you want to get noticed go for it with fluorescent colours, anything bright enough to encouraged the wearing of sunglasses at night, and your on the right track.

There are a lot of 'systems' for mixing colours out there - instructions on which colours you should use, telling you never to use black or always to use black, to use or not use complementary colours to create neutrals, to use certain brands because the mixing is all done for you and you just follow the 'rules'.I believe that you can look at them all if you want but the only way to understand colour and colour mixing is to do it! and never ever to follow someone elses rigid painting by numbers system in your work. It's more important to understand complementary colours and the way they make each other more vivid when placed next to each other or neutralise each other when mixed - then how to use this in a subtle way by using coloured neutrals to make a colour sing. Or understanding how to adjust a too bright colour by glazing it with a thin wash of its complementary colour.Learn what the colours you have do, by mixing them and painting little grids like these - you'll be amazed

I sent an email to Letters and Colours yesterday asking Gerry Miller if it was true. He's the talented singer and guitarist for Sheffield's greatest band and one of the best unsigned indie rock groups going in England. I had to confirm it for myself - and Gerry, who writes for this blog from time to time, got right back to me. He confirmed my fears - Letters + Colours have (at least for now) called it quits. Ipsos MORI has published its July Political Monitor, with encouraging headline results for Labour and Gordon Brown:Ipsos MORI's July Political Monitor puts Labour's share of the vote six points higher than the Conservatives' (41% vs. 35%). As in June, the Liberal Democrats share of the vote is 15%. Gordon Brown's first satisfaction rating score as prime minister is 35% satisfied and 20% dissatisfied, producing a 'net satisfied' score of +16.The lead for Labour amongst all those naming a party is even higher (45 per cent vs. 31 per cent), Brown is the only leader with a positive satisfaction score from all respondents, and he has the highest rating from party members (+48).What is curious is that behind this Brown bounce there lies a deep level of pessimism and even cynicism towards government (as opposed to Gordon Brown). The level of net satisfaction in government is -17, lower than Cameron or Campbell, and over half the respondents were "dissatisfied with the way the Government

Photoshop can be used to quickly, easily and realistically alter the hues and colours of any part of any image. There are a number of ways of doing this, and here we’ll take a look at the quickest - and usually most effective. Here’s the image we’ll be altering:
Pretty enough, but lets give her striking blue eyes instead for added impact. Create a new layer.
Take a colour of your choice; the blue I used is Hex: 397BDF. Next, paint over the top of an eye on the new layer. It might look a bit messy, but it’ll make sense in a moment.
Next up, change the layer blending on your new layer from Normal to Hue - this takes the colours on the current layer, and applies the hues and colours to the image below. So the brown in her eye has been replaced by a nice blue hue:
I’m sure you can think of all sorts of uses for this method. Altering the colours of cars, turning your best friend green, or adding tiger stripes to various objects. Experiment, and have fun!
Purple Egg Plant FlowerClose-up of a purple Egg plant flowerHere's an interesting question for you: Who knew that the Egg Plant has purple flowers? I didn't until I saw the small plant springing out with lot's of small buds, which grew into flowers. This photo is a close-up of one such flower. This photo has an unusual composition, although all the elements have been seen in other pictures. The flower itself is plainly the focus of the photo, occupying about 1/3rd of the image in the very center. The stems of the egg plant, however, are adding an interesting touch to the picture by creating a "funnel" converging on a point just below and to the left of the flower. This focus point is offset by the yellow center of the flower which points to the opposite lower corner, thus creating a harmony which keeps the focus on the egg plant flower.Again, this photo only has three major colours - green, purple and yellow. Note that although yellow occupies only a small section of the image, it is

New Songs including an RSL Exclusive Track from the one of the UK's Best Indie Acts! There is no bigger supporter of the Letters + Colours band in North America than the RSL Music Weblog. How do I know and why? L+C singer Gerry Miller has taken over these pages to write before - scribing about the contemporary UK indie rock scene. (Highly Recommended. This is the story that put RSL readers in the front of the pack when it came to new UK bands!) Gerry dropped some poetry for us. He also shared some of his band's songs. I first met Gerry back last September - here was L+C's first appearance on these pages.Today, Mr. Miller has sent me some new tracks including an exclusive demo that you won't find anywhere else. Why do I like them so much? - Just listen. There is nobody out there like them anywhere in the world. Trust me!L+C - Colourizedthe video for "Gaunt"NEW SONGServe My NeedsThe Songs "Gaunt" and "Plan A"have been removed at the L+C label's request.Plan to pick up the singles w

I just recently went to account details and changed my the way my account looks when I log in. Now it looks like this. Isn't that cool? I had no idea that I could do this.By the way, the one I am using is called "darknight". You can even see how much I have earned too. It's looking quite good.
We were planning to explore 1 Asian country sometime this year and when I had a project in Phnom Penh, we did wanted to cover Cambodia at some point. Thus it came sooner then expected....
"the travelling ducks" packed their gears and off we went to venture this city that holds a gruesome history and is one of the 7 wonders contenders for its Angkor Wat . I had gone to Phnom Penh on an earlier flight on last Tuesday for my meetings. Pato join in on Wednesday night which was the start of the journey of these ducks in Cambodia.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital city, makes for a great short holiday with plenty to see. Once called 'Paris of the East', much of its architecture dates back to the pre-war French colonial period.
We stayed at Hotel Intercontinental - the first 5 star hotel built in Phnom Penh, simply because my jobsite was within the Hotel compound. I got the know the construction of the hotel itself took 5 years due to limitation of resources and long leadtime i
Well today I had reorganized back my blog. Each year I will change the layout. This time I'm using the template provided by Blogger itself. Got a lot of new function even though I still in love with my old template. It's time for me to change. This time I will try not to make it to political, but sometimes it can't be avoided.I think the political issue will remain as usual but I will add more stories about everything else. I try my best. I'm a bit dizzy right now. To all readers, maybe you can help me out with the "Shout Out" box colours. It's kinda hard for me to determined which colours the most suitable for it because of the colour blind problem. Thats why you can see that all my layout before this was made in dark colour. Much more easier for me to have a good look at it. This time I tried to minized it so that I'm not using too much colouration. So I chose white. Its pure. Enjoy...
"Bonjour"46cm x 55cm, oil on canvas, Private Collectioncopyright Sarah WimperisI've been a fan of the work of Sarah Wimperis since I discovered her daily painting blog last September. Sarah lives in France and paints the light, colour and life round about where she lives in southern Brittany.I'm going to feature some of her paintings and some of the new ways in which she's marketing herself today and tomorrow. What Sarah is doing is the sort of thing many artists can now contemplate. Here's a synopsis of an interview I did with.I left Falmouth Art College in Cornwall in 1981 with my BA in fine art. In the last 26 years I've travelled a lot and worked as an artist full time. I've taught art to adults and children, had a mural painting company, and work as an illustrator. At the same time I've always painted, had exhibitions and undertaken commissions. The illustration work keeps the bread on the table, the kids in college and a roof over our heads (very nice roof as well).
This week, I’m running a series on how to wear separates well. See also: tip one and tip two.
Tip: To look great in separates, pick a colour theme and wear it from head to toe.
Separates can be used to create practically any colour combination that takes your fancy — but not all of them will look good on you.
Want to get it right? Here’s some tips, and some pictures of real people who’ve done it well.
A dress in a single colour instantly gives you a single line from head to toe, which is really flattering… and if a dress has two or more blocks of colour, they’ve probably been selected by a designer to create a nice effect.
You can create the opposite effect with separates — a separate block of colour for every part of your body. If you do this horizontally, you can end up looking like a bunch of body parts, as each colour block draws attention to itself separately. This is an incredibly unflattering look, especially if each block is wider tha

I visited the exhibition yesterday with Vivien and Glen before we moved across to the Royal Academy in Piccadilly to see the Unknown Monet exhibition - of which more in a later blog post. The RI exhibition is much bigger than the RWS Spring exhibition at the Bankside Gallery which I covered in my last post. The RI exhibition has 510 paintings, priced between £200 and £9,000, from artists working in any water based paint (ie including acrylics). Unlike the RWS, it also includes paintings from artists who are not members of the RI. The catalogue is excellent with very good colour reproductions of some of the members' work on the front cover and in the centre pages. Unfortunately, the society does not have a website, so I'm going to highligh

The market rebounded spectacularly for 5 days before another rout took place. The rebound was noted with lesser volume on the way up which to many wasn't going to sustain. But the rise caught many in complacent mode and once again we tanked this time lead by US subprime loans problems. Nikkei and HangSeng lead us into the red and this selling erased all the gains in the rebound, classic! Fear not, this is how a bottom should be formed. Let us be patience and wait for it to form.STI on the daily: We have now met resistance at the first gap and reversed to a lower high recorded. Now this is what can happen:1) STI finds support at the last low near 2960s thereabts.2) STI finds support along 100MA.3) STI test 2880 thereabts.4) Most unlikely to happen is we rebound tomolo to close the gap.HSI 18,618 is major support, breaks that, up the lorry....The rebound over the last 5 days left me looking silly as stocks threatened to resume uptrend without me onboard. Ah, there are so many refreshing colours in the S/S collections in stores just now, and some really sweet combinations being presented. Cream & coral: I saw in H&M today some really cute cream bags with gold hardware, and they were presented with coral-red pashminas. In true H&M style, though, they were also selling the cheapest and chunkiest plastic coral and cream jewellery to match. On the right is a Vera Wang from http://www.designerexposure.com/product/20578/.Cream & white: I've never considered this combination before, but saw a girl with a voluminous cream short coat, cream bag (like H&M's), teamed with white skinny jeans. And I think she was wearing cream Uggs, too. It actually looked really nice.Red & white: another woman I saw was wearing white wide-leg linen trousers with a short red mac on top, and a red or white bag. This looked really great, although definitely I won't be wearing white trousers, esp. those made of linen, for a few more months.White: some re
Have you ever thought what it would be like to live in a world without colour? Try to visualise your body, the people around you, the seas, the sky, trees, flowers, in short, everything in black. You would never want to live in such a world, would you? What makes the earth colourful? How do the colours, which make our world so extraordinarily beautiful, come into being?Certain characteristics present in the nature of matter allow us perceive objects in colour. Colours are formed as a natural result of certain motions of the electrons inside the atom. You may think "What do the motions of electrons have to do with colours?" Let's briefly explain this relationship:Electrons revolve only in electron shells. We just mentioned that there are 7 electron shells. Each electron shell has a specific
