Recently, a friend asked me to help her brother sell his collection on Lladro glass figurines on eBay. These are expensive glass collectibles and I knew nothing about them - but I don’t have to. The principles for selling expensive collectibles on eBay are the same, regardless of what is being sold.
Obviously, like any eBay [...]
The Force is strong with this episode of FAMILY GUY that devotes an entire hour to STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE. Seth McFarlane s spoof-happy animated sitcom casts the Griffin family and other Quahog residents as characters from George Lucas s sci-fi classic: patriarch Peter is Han Solo wife Lois is Princess Leia son Chris is Luke Skywalker family dog Brian is Chewbacca and baby Stewie continu
It’s hard to imagine seven years worth of pure, unadulterated joy brought about by a shared love for things. Simple things, like a comic book, a basketball card, a plastic toy action figure, a Matchbox car or an old 80’s die-cast robot. But these vestiges of childhood are precisely what sustain our imaginations, and carry on through time as replicas of the memories we cherished growing up.
I was checking my email this morning before I leave the house for the Free Comic Book day in Fullybooked, and then I was shocked to read a news in my inbox!
wow!!!! fan boy scream!!!!!!!!!!
I guess I'll see the guys above next month :)

It is my pleasure to tell you about a new book written by my friend Dianne Zweig. It is entitled Hot Cottage Collectibles for Vintage Style Homes. In this book, Dianne offers readers a new twist on home and garden collectibles, marrying different periods and styles in a look which is vintage chic, country kitsch and retro-romantic. It's all about "cottage style," a trendy and enjoyable way to both collect and creatively use Collectibles of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Dianne wrote a wonderful note about The Pink Pig's new website design. "Deb, Bravo on this beautifully designed and inviting website. Once again you have proven that you are tops when it comes to selecting the best Cottage and Cabin collectibles and home furnishings. I had a ball working with you on my book. You are truly a very ex
The Mighty Muggs will rule the world! Hasbro keeps coming up with new Mighty Muggs all the time, and this batch is just as cute as the one before. They only cost about $9.99 so don’t be a cheap bastard and buy them! More Mighty Muggs coming soon.

We're having a meeting tonight and I don't feel normal today, lots of stuff to be discussed with the group and I'm having a bad time since yesterday and right now I'm a little bit moody, its just me and I need to eat a lot of pasta in Sbarro later.

Today's ever-changing market conditions and changing consumer habits integration, so that home-based sales enterprise a realistic chance, and the real profits potential.this particularly true in the world of collectibles and gifts. In the past few years, collectors - who are the most discerning shoppers - very few channels to facilitate the search for, and then purchase items that they are looking for. They will pay a visit to the professional shops and expensive boutiques. They are often waiting for the right professional activities or programs, then a lot of miles to attend, so that they can search for special items. With retail sites on the Internet, online auctions, and a growing number of home-based entrepreneurs, these shoppers now to take full advantage of many new resources.for tho
Over the years, I’ve had many of my friends ask me what late model cars I thought might be the future collectibles. I tell them that there are several factors that go into such a determination. First of all, a car doesn’t necessarily have to have been a popular car in its day to be a collectible…look at the Edsel. Almost any car will appreciate in value as time goes on, if it’s well cared for. However, vehicles like early Thunderbirds and Corvettes, appreciated faster because of their popularity and the mystique surrounding them. Production numbers and the passage of time, also have a hand in a collectible car’s value. A general rule of thumb dictates that, like anything else, the fewer there are…the more they’re worth. After all, when was the last time you saw an A
The Kovel's book is by far the most detailed, entertaining and informative price book I have ever owned. It helps us sellers and buyers and on line shoppers understand real-time market values. I like that it is based on ACTUAL prices. ( after all things are really only worth what someone will pay). It helped me identify things that I was unsure of with some really clear four-color photographs. The book is packed with TONS of pictures! It also is easy to find things and the Kovel's seem to have a knack to know how to organize such a large group of potential categories. Overall, this book was worth every penny in terms of showing me what things are worth and what they are. No other place I have found that can do both so well. I bought this book and it provides a nice overview of Marvel Comics from its pulp magazine roots to its current incarnation as a multimedia giant. The reader is given glimpses of the inside of Marvel, however the main gimmick of this collection is the reproductions of various Marvel items; and this is where the disappointment lies. Some of the items like the buttons are just paper reproductions (not actual badges); the reprint of the Marvel No Prize Book is dark in color; and the reproduction of a Marvel Convention Program is so small as to be unreadable. In all cases full size reproductions could have been slid into the plastic binder pockets. Some of the ommissions are glaring. Marvel Value Stamps are reproduced and it is stated that a prize was given for a full set of stamps; but what was
If you are an eBay seller, you've probably found out that finding collectibles to sell on eBay is a constant part of your business. You probably started out in eBay thinking you had plenty of items to sell, but soon found out it didn't take long to run out of product. Now here you are, trying to decide if you should stay in the eBay auction business, or just take your small profit and call it quits. You've most likely gone the yard sale/flea market route and would like to find other ways of finding items that fit into the theme of your site. Begin your search by thinking of places you would be looking for items for your collection. If you have a collection, how did it start? Once you got going, how did you keep adding to it? Where did you find items for your collection? Do you have business
One of the best parts of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is the final battle between Cloud Strife and Sephiroth, and Kotobukiya captured the excitement and drama in this beautiful polystone sculpture. It consists of two pieces: one of Sephiroth and one of Cloud, but combined they form a breathtaking, underwear-soiling scene of one of the most epic battles in both video game and movie history. It costs around $200, but wouldn't it look nice sitting on a shelf in your game room?
Flying V Style BlackBaby Axe manufactures miniature guitar collectibles. The range includes the Stratocaster (by Fender) and the Rickenbacker. The guitars are associated with the world's most famous musical artistes, including Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, John Lennon, and Noel Gallagher. The Baby Axe guitars look extremely realistic. I didn't even know they were miniature collectibles at first. The guitars are approximately 10 inches (25.4 cm), and come in a simulated aluminium case box. The guitars are made from the finest quality material -- such as high-quality fibre -- which makes them feel a bit heavier than they might look.In the 1960s, the Flying V style (featured in the above picture) became a statement of individualism and creativity. More recently, it has been used by Le
Kotobukiya makes some of the best collectible statues, like this one of DC Comic's Catwoman. She seems ready to rob a bank or sneak into a museum. For reasons unknown she has half of her boobs exposed. My only guess is that if a police officer or security guard spots her they'd be blinded by the boobage and she could get a chance to escape. On her back she has some kind of box, or maybe a laptop. It's nice to be able to check your e-mail even when stealing diamonds or hiding from Batman. You can buy this statue for about $50.
Based on the Marvel Zombies miniseries, this 12” statue made by Diamond Select features zombie Venom beating the shit out of zombie Spider-Man. Whoever wins, they both lose because they’re both dead. Just look at Spider-Man’s face, and he’s all skinny and creepy-looking. Venom looks pretty much the same as non-zombie Venom, so of course he’s winning. I wish this scene had been on the Spider-Man 3 movie instead of emo dancing and general gayness.
Although I’ve never played Xenosaga I’ve always liked KOS-MOS because of her intricate design and general coolness. That’s exactly why I like this statue from Alter. It is highly detailed and well-made. This statue costs around $89.99, and seems to be worth every penny.
Every Star Wars toy or figure is a collectible, but these little guys are just adorable. There's a Stormtrooper, Darth Maul with his double-bladed lightsaber, Darth Vader with his lightsaber, Boba Fett, Han Solo with his blaster, and Chewbacca with his crossbow. Take a good look at Chewie and tell me you don't want him. They stand 6 inches tall and are some of the cutest vinyl figures I've seen Hasbro make so far. Gotta catch 'em all!
By: Deon Melchior Most regular games deal with physical or mental skill, whereas role-playing games are mostly an exercise in imaginative ability. In the basic version of a game, the participant imagines the role of a fictitious character, and then tries to create and weave the story around this fictitious character. The characterization of the imaginative person is the most important part of the game. According to the characterization, the action of that particular character is determined. This action may be successful or failed, depending upon the rules and guidelines that have been previously set. Player has freedom to improvise, of course within the boundary of rules and guidelines. The choices made by these fictitious characters determine the result of the game.A role playing game generally has no loser or winner. This is the basic difference between other games and role playing games. Sports, card games and other games are mostly competitive games whereas role playing games are m

I found a rather interesting press release from Corgi International over on Toys News International having to do with a structural announcement and brand license acquisitions, here’s the most interesting nugget:
- A partnership with Microsoft to bring the exciting and interactive world of Microsoft’s “Halo” franchise to life with stunning 3-D merchandise, in conjunction with the highly-anticipated release of “Halo 3” later this year.
I have a Toy Psychic prediction. Very shortly you will see an announcement that Master Replicas will be making high end Halo collectibles. Why you ask? Well, Corgi owns Master Replicas and after losing their Star Wars license, they’d be utter fools not to cash in on the Halo franchise.
Annnnnnd my prediction has come true. Amazing isn’t it?
So here’s my wish list for Master Replicas Halo merch:
1. Full Size replica assault rifle
2. Full size Spartan Helmet
3. Full size ODST Helmet
4. “Studio Scale” Warthog
