Imus was fired after making sexist and racist remarks about the Rutgers University basketball team. A number of activists are now shifting their focus to Hip-Hop, including Reverend Al Sharpton, who has received a number of death threats over the past few days due to his involvement in the Imus controversy. On Friday (Apr. 13), Sharpton announced that he would turn his attention to the music industry, specifically Hip-Hop music. I read this piece of news on Dark Horizons and honestly thought it was some sort of sick practical joke. Now look I have no problem with the concept of using digital actors. It’s not like I am going to boycott going to see Shrek 3 or something but I was personally disgusted when I saw the Coca Cola commercial with a cg Humphrey Bogart. That’s just a case of respecting the dead if you ask me and in many ways I think it is pure exploitation. I should not be surprised that a certain talentless director, many of his films you may recognize as some of the worst movies in recent memory. He actually makes Michael Bay look good.
