It looks as though retro console systems are all the rage these days as more and more projects seem to involve systems like the Classic NES. I was checking out different cool creations when I stumbled upon a site/blog called Ultra Awesome. The creator, Kyle Downes, had recently finished a neat project in [...]
This morning I was looking at the two wine racks we have in our kitchen and thinking about going back to my 'Vineyard' and 'Wine' themed kitchen which is what I had in our previous home before relocating here about 3 years ago. Although not big drinkers, my husband and I love to have nice bottles of wine on hand not only as part of the room decor, but to be able to offer our guests either red, white, blush or sparkling wine with whatever menu I manage to whip up at the last second. While looking online at various wine racks this morning I found the most awesome wine rack that I not only loved on sight, but would use in my home and it would look perfect in our family room just off the kitchen. It's a coffee table with a built in rack for display! The price is just as perfect (you can see
Choosing the right glass coffee table with my wife was more difficult than agreeing on the best coffee maker. At least we both feel passionately picking out from the best coffee machines, but this passion made us divisive when it came to finding a good table to rest our coffee on. We are both professionals and like getting things our own way. Usually we give each other space so we don’t need to fight over silly things, but when it comes to home décor, my wife wants things here way. Unfortunately, I want things my way too and this caused quite a stir when we tried to buy a table together. We couldn’t agree on a single coffee table after we had visited over 10 stores. I have a modern sense of taste and want something that is clean and simple that give the room a nice feel and is practica
“The coffee table itself is a wreck I got free on Jumbletown, but it was perfect for what I had in mind. I took my inspiration from the €1,600 Gio Ponti-designed “Paolo” console table and Marimekko’s Vapaa Pudotus fabric. For the most part I was able to use paints and supplies I already had, so [...]
The newest project here at Burner Photography (my one bedroom apartment) is an attempt to put together a coffee table book. I'm going to take entries from my travel journals and pair them with full page photographs. Then, I'll have my very own coffee table book when friends come over. Below is an example of what I'm thinking: "Between El Capitan and Half Dome lies Yosemite Valley. At this height
Within our homes we have pieces of furniture which are purely functional and do not serve any real aesthetic purpose, they are just in our homes to serve a purpose. We don't really think too much about these pieces of furniture and neither do our guests. Sometimes these items of furniture can be quite nice pieces but they might just lack something to set them off, and this thing to set them off doesn't have to be anything too spectacular. Maybe an ornament would do the trick, but cheap ornaments look exactly that, cheap. A bowl of fruit or a water feature is a possibility but they are a bit old hat now. Most of us have a coffee table in our living rooms, these come in many different shapes and sizes but they all have one thing in common, they are pretty plain. One way of brightening up you

Below is an example of what I'm thinking: "Between El Capitan and Half Dome lies Yosemite Valley. At this hight, the trees that cover the Valley floor look like a thick green carpet, but it is hard to miss on this carpet many open sores that will never heal, roads and buildings hacked through ancient forests by humanity's foolish hands. And how does the Valley react to this ravishment? She allows us to speed between her 2000 foot high grey cliffs in our giant machines. She allows us access to her very heart
As much as I wish I could appreciate the production of Marvel Omnibus publications, the price given here is very expensive: Two years ago, David Gabriel, a senior vice president at Marvel Comics, publisher of Spider-Man and the X-Men, was sitting in the company’s Fifth Avenue offices with a few colleagues trying to come up with a product tie-in for the Fantastic Four film to be released that
Excellent coffee table books are essential, a must, no if ands or buts. Im in love with Andrew Macpherson 'Two Million Miles' so when I came across the new Marc Jacobs' celebrity photo book, VISIONAIRE 52 PRIVATE, I knew it may be love. Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, with guest editor Marc Jacobs, collaborated on a series of intimate portraits of contemporary icons. For the past few years, they have traveled around the world to shoot subjects who inspire them, some as they’ve never been seen before. Marc Jacobs designed a limited-edition Louis Vuitton gold monogrammed case to house the large-format book of photographs. The provocative books subjects include actors Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Selma Blair, Chloe Sevigny, Ludvine Sagnier, Lou Doillon, Lindsay Lohan, and Jamie Dornan; singers Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Lil’ Kim, Mariah Carey and Courtney Love; fashion designers Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney; models Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Step

Ahem. As I was saying, the downloadable 85-page e-book Google Analytics Shortcut written by Google-trusted Justin Cutroni and published by O'Reilly Media is available to anybody with an extra ten bucks and a coffee table not too cluttered with PS3 controllers, Starbucks cups, and Sergey Brin action figures. Cutroni is a Google Analytics Authorized Consultant with Epikone, who Google Analytics Sr. Manager Brett Crosby says "always impresses me with his industry knowledge and how many subtle details he knows about Google Analytics."

The LED lights move when something is placed on or near the table, so if you placed a glass of wine on it the light would move to be on underneath it, the same goes if you waved your hand over the table, the light come on and follow your movement. The surface can be made from either glass or plastic, depending on your preference.
Inside the table there are 32 infrared sensors which pick up the move or close proximity and therefore activate the lights all 480 of them. As you move the light come on and off with the movement.
The table does not use as much power as you would expect, only 35 Watts when fully active, which is around the same as a single household light bulb. It measures 62 “ L x 31 “ W x 18 “ H, and these tables are made to order, which can between four to six weeks.
The prices of the fantastic looking table start at around $2,500.
