According to reputable publications Cloud Cult have released a new album. It comes barely a year after ‘The Meaning of 8’, a sprawling affair that I’ve yet to fully tame. If that album (their 7th) is anything to go Cloud Cult appear to have its fingers in lots of different pies. The result is enjoyable but you really have to work hard to appreciate where they are coming from. There are some moments of lucidity though like on opener ‘Chain Reaction’ which while quite dense has a fine sugar coating. Well, I being very liberal while labeling my posts, ended up with a long list of labels that was occupying almost the whole of the sidebar. The only solution was a Technorati style tag cloud, rather a label cloud. A Google search, and there it was, a whole lot of links telling me on how to make a label cloud for blogger. It's a gorgeous day in Kona today. There weren't any clouds over Hualalai (the volcano over Kailua) earlier today. This is a very interesting way to sort your post "labels" as the more posts you have labeled with the same thing, the bigger the label in the cloud gets. For example, we have 15 posts with blog tips inside of our tag cloud, so perspectively, it is bigger.
I´ve just integrated a new tag cloud, that definitely looks much better than the old tag list (in my opinion). You can find it on the right side bar under my Triond widget. I had to dive a little into my blogger template code, but that wasn´t too hard, especially with the help of this great tutorial.Now I have more room to place nice multi-color blinking banners there ;-) No, just kidding. I really like those tag clouds, they look nice and give a better information about what´s actually hot content.
