Unlike the very terrible terrible (terrible) demo of Crash Bandicoot’s “Crash of the Titans” (that was released on the holy Halo 3’s day of birth), two very good demo’s have hit the marketplace today, both hitting opposite sides of the gaming spectrum so you will probably be at least downloading one of the two. Let me once again let you know, Crash of the Titans is horrible, the graphics, the game play (still staying away from true 3D gaming, fools!), just don’t waste your time at all unless you have a child under the age of 10 or so (seriously).
A game I have been waiting for, Jericho however, is going to be making me turn on my 360 in literally a few minutes so I can try any part of this (click for some video goodness). The demo for this game weighs in at 885.17mb.

El Jueves 27 de Septiembre es la fecha: Codemasters lanzará la demo de Clive Barker’s Jericho tanto para PC como para XBox 360. Una semana más tarde hará lo propio para PS3. Para hacernos más llevadera la espera, Codemasters ha lanzado un nuevo vídeo del juego, precisamente anunciando el inminente lanzamiento de la demo y mostrando algunos detalles del gameplay.
Codemasters está desarrollando un juego llamado Clive Barker’s Jericho, pero ¿sabéis quien es Clive Barker o pensabais que formaba parte del título del juego? Parece que poco a poco se irán desvelando los vídeos del resto de los siete miembros que conforman el equipo Jericho, grupo de asalto especializado en amenazas paranormales, encargado de entrar en las ruínas de Al-Khali con el propósito de cerrar la brecha dimensional abierta por un ente diabólico y que podría conducir al Apocalipsis.
El juego ya se puede reservar en la página que Codemasters ha habilitado para ello, con un 10% de descuento sobre el precio oficial, que será de 69′99€ para XBox 360 y PS3, y de 49′99€ para PC. La salida de Clive Barker’s Jericho está prevista para Octubre.
Se nota que se acerca la fecha de lanzamiento del juego. Codemasters ha lanzado un nuevo trailer de Clive Barker’s Jericho. En concreto, el vídeo nos muestra las habilidades del Sargento Frank Delgado, el miembro del equipo especialista en armamento pesado, que además tiene un interesante poder: el dominio del fuego, gracias a un espíritu de fuego, encastado en un escudo protector en el brazo derecho de Delgado.

Clive Barker’s Jericho, una de las apuestas más fuertes de Codemasters de este año, y considerado por GameSpy como uno de los 10 mejores juegos del pasado E3, será jugable en el próximo Games Convention de Leipzig. El juego, desarrollado por el estudio español Mercury Steam, saldrá a la venta el próximo Otoño para PC, 360 y PS3.
Según Rod Cousens, CEO de Codemasters, “todos en Codemasters estmos muy contentos de tener tanto Clive Barker’s Jericho como Turning Point: Fall of Liberty jugables en el GC de este año”. Además Cousens comenta que “Tenemos muy altas las espectativas para estos dos títulos”.

La seconda prova di Clive Barker come autore di un videogioco si presenta, almeno a uno sguardo superficiale, non troppo dissimile da quell’Undying che aveva visto l’esordio dello scrittore di Liverpool in un mondo di poligoni e texture: in altre parole, anche Clive Barker’s Jericho è uno sparatutto in prima persona ma è bene subito chiarire che siamo ben lontani dalla meccanica di gioco di un DOOM 3 o di un Half-Life 2.

Codemasters ha publicado 9 nuevas imágenes de Clive Barker’s Jericho, el escalofriante título que verá la luz el próximo Septiembre. Las imágenes son, como siempre, muy impactantes y reflejan el esmero que tanto Codemasters como el equipo español Mercury Steam están llevando a cabo para plasmar en el videojuego las ideas del afamado director y escritor de terror Clive Barker.

Clive Cussler has always been one of favorite reads since a good friend recommended him (Thanks Mabel!). His stories focus on marine and underwater subjects and his characters are bigger than life. Dirk Pitt is his long-time hero, a tall, tanned, green-eyed stud that is quite adept at saving the day and the world. His sidekick, Al Giordino, is shorter, very muscular and a most trustworthy friend. Recently, in Cussler's book series, Pitt has discovered that he has two children, Dirk and Summer. Codemasters ha lanzado hoy mismo la página oficial de Clive Barker’s Jericho, muy en la línea de lo que se espera del juego. La página nos presenta, en una tétrica y sobrecogedora ambientación, una serie de pequeños puzzles que deberemos resolver para conocer partes de la historia detrás del esperado juego. Podremos además ver los diversos vídeos e imágenes disponibles, y prometen ampliar contenidos en la página semana a semana hasta el lanzamiento del juego, previsto para el próximo Otoño para XBox 360, Playstation 3 y PC.
Además, Codemasters ha colgado varios espeluznantes vídeos en YouTube, en los que se pueden ver diversos experimentos desvelando algunos detalles de la historia del videojuego en los que, además, se muestran algunas imágenes in-game.

Codemasters is becoming quite one of my favorite developers. With Overlord doing quite well with those who game (link) as well as the very kick ass looking Rise of Argonauts (link), along comes another title, which I already knew about before, but really hadn’t taken a good glance at as of yet. The six new screens show how well the concept art is turning into in game screens (which I am still at disbelief at some of them being in game.. in fact, throwing this in the “Concept Art” section of the site as well just in case). Judge for yourself and enjoy looking at these amazingly creative characters in the first person shooter that might be killing the future of Condemned 2 and F.E.A.R. 2, with the aid of one bad ass horror man of both word and visuals, Clive Barker.
