Quite frankly the name Elektrons' conjures up the impression that we are in the midst of another band ploughing their craft along the same steely yet electronically charged lines of established bands Bloc Party or Klaxons. Elektrons are in fact a duo consisting of Justin Crawford and Luke Cowdrey, who like The Chemical Brothers, provide the musically soulful and disco orientated bricks and mortar to tracks accompanied by a series of live band members and purposely plucked vocalists.
Classic Cliché' is a fresh sounding, upbeat track utilising the classic four-on-the-floor beat and a heavy syncopated bass line. With influences evident across the track from Donna Summer to Soul II Soul broad appeal across the board is sure to turn this underground outfit into a common charting fixture.

Yet another Desert Island cartoon. This often happens. I get an idea for a particular setting, and then a lot of similar cartoons pop into my head. I drew this at the same time as the last Desert Island Cartoon, but have held it back - as it would be very boring to do the same theme 2 days running. I'm not Jim Davis you know!
