FSU announced Monday that O'Shea is one of 32 Rhodes scholars -- and the only one in Florida this year -- chosen from a pool of 764 applicants across the country. An honors student majoring in philosophy, O'Shea has a passion for health care policy and hopes to pursue a political career. Anyone putting a new roof on a Clearwater home or condo (association) may have to break open your piggy bank to pay for your new roof since new Florida House Bill 7057 goes into effect tomorrow. Clearwater Beach Florida ~ Private Boat Docks for BoatersSandpearl Condos and Resort received what some home owners are calling a sweet incentive to gets some boat docks built on city owned land in the inlet just east of the Sandpearl Condos. Developer Mike Cheezem plans to build docks on city-owned submerged land in the inlet shown in this picture which is near the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center. This would be for boaters buying condominiums at Sandpearl. The deal would allow the Sandpearl Resort to get 33 boat docks while they would build 21 more for Public use.
