*************** In this article AT&T is quoted as saying that NASCAR is REQUIRING then to not only remove the AT&T name and logo immediately, BUT also they MUST have the name Cingular on the car.   Are you kidding me.  If Budweiser wanted a red and white paint scheme that did not actually say "Budweiser" on it, would NASCAR force Budweiser to have their name on it?  I don't think so.  What if Home Depot just wanted a orange car with out the "Home Depot" on it.  Would NASCAR make them?  Don't think so!   NASCAR is WAY over board here.  I can understand wanting the "Go Phone" off of the car IF IF IF that was not part of the previous Cingular.  But MAKING them put the name Cingular on the car...WOW! If you were unfairly treated by Cingular (now owned by AT&T) when Cingular purchased AT&T wireless in 2004 because you were told a chip was needed to improve your cell phone service; which required you signing a contract with Cinuglar to get the chip, well you will may be able to join a class action lawsuit against the company.  The U.S. Appeals Court on Friday reversed a lower court decision to allow going ahead with the class action suit.  The lawsuit was initially filed by Kennith Shroyer, complaining that Cingular dealt poorly with customers after it bought AT&T Wireless in 2004. Cingular told AT&T customers that they would not be able to keep the same rates if they didn't comply.After Kennith Shroyer's complaint, Judge Manuel Real ruled at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in favor of Cingular's argument that the case was outside that court's jurisdiction and should instead go to arbitration, due to a clause in

I've been a subscriber to Cingular for a long time now. Their service has been wonderful. I don't remember the last time I got a dropped call, the customer service has always been terrific and accommodating and the billing is straight forward and easy to understand.Recently, they have decided to change their name to AT&T. Why? I don't know, but, in my personal opinion, this is a bad move on their part. From years past, the name AT&T and good service has never gone hand-in-hand. Whenever someone mentioned AT&T, I always got a bad taste in my mouth. Cingular is just beginning to roll out a new line of cell phones available to their customers with the AT&T name associated with them. I'm not sure who is working in the high towers of Cingular marketing, but the timing couldn't be worse. Cult of Mac posted a rumor that claims that Cingular’s iPhone exclusivity period will last for only two weeks. The rumor goes a little something like “I was talking to a T-Mobile employee yesterday and he claimed that they will have the iPhone 2 weeks after the release. Cingular's exclusive apparently lasts only 2 Weeks!!“. The salt of this story, is that the information in question comes from a T-Mobile employee trying to sign up a customer. According to a press release from Cingular, they will be the first wireless carrier in the United States to demo a service where the users can make a “live” video share call.  Cingular will give a glimpse of this new service at next week’s Consumer Electronics Show being held in Las Vegas.  Cingular hopes to make its video service commercially available in 2007.  “The service allows users to send a live video stream to a recipient during a standard voice call. Beginning with a normal phone call, customers can hit one button to add a live video stream, allowing the called party to see what the caller is seeing while they’re talking. The service also allows customers to switch the direction of the video stream during the same phone call.”
