Back in April, Toyota announced that it would be gobbling up a larger percentage of Fuji Heavy Industries, makers of the Subaru brand of vehicles. Today, that deal has been made official as Fuji announced the sale that increases Toyota's voting rights in the automaker to 16.16 percent from 9.50 percent. This deal had been made possible by a newly revised Japanese law that went into effect last ye
I’m still on my Big Chunky Shoe kick. This can be completely blamed on the mind-boggling Marni platforms I got a month or so ago and that I am utterly besotted with. Have I shown you those shoes? I think so, but here they are, as a refresher:
Yes, I did wear them [...]

OTTAWA — Canadians’ dependence on their automobiles was exacting an ever-increasing cost in 2007 as retailers had a strong year with sales increases in all major commodity groupings.
Statistics Canada is reporting that Canadians spent $413.4 billion on goods and services in retail stores last year, 5.8 per cent more than in 2006.
Almost a third of retail purchases — $31 of every $100 spent in retail stores — went to automotive-related products in 2007.
Of all commodity groups, sales of automotive fuels, oils and additives had the strongest growth, up 11.3 per cent over 2006 to $41.5 billion.
The agency says gasoline prices rose 4.5 per cent over 2006, the third time in four years that automotive fuels, oils and additives led sales increases among retail commodity groupings.

This recipe is a jazzed up version of the no flour peanut butter cookie. I like this version because it includes creamy, crunchy toffee that goes so well with quinoa and oatmeal. And what is not to like about chunks of bittersweet chocolate? The cool thing about this cookie is that [...]

clipped from edition.cnn.com WASHINGTON (AP) -- A chunk of Antarctic ice about seven times the size of Manhattan suddenly collapsed, putting an even greater portion of glacial ice at risk, scientists said Tuesday. Satellite images show the runaway disintegration of a 160-square-mile chunk in western Antarctica, which started February 28. It was the edge of the Wilkins ice shelf and has been there for hundreds, maybe 1,500 years. This is the result of global warming, said British Antarctic Survey scientist David Vaughan.

If any of you like to throw a jig, you know that all jig chunks and trailers are not created equal. Browsing the web today, I think I found what could be my new favorite jig trailer. I have not tried them, but from the review I read and what I see, I think I will love these....So here is what it looks like....V&M Mud Bug Here is the summary from the TackleTour review:"Conclusion: Sometimes you just stumble onto a bait that surprises youwith its effectiveness. Such was the case with the V&M Mud Bug. I bought acouple of packs simply to fill out an order and make the shipping worthwhile.When I put it through our typical TackleTour testing procedures, my eyes openedwide at those floating appendages. What a treat! If you're disappointed with therecent flap over a certain plastic craw-like bait that teased us with itsavailability but was suddenly not available again and are looking for a trailerto help make your jig fishing experience more effective, you'd do well to checkout the V
You're about to have the wedding of your dreams. It doesn't come cheap. After all, no expense should be spared for the perfect white dress and shoes, the matching platinum rings, the gala reception, the flower arrangments, videos and photographs, the wedding giveaways, and even the 6-tiered wedding cake. Unfortunately, your pocket book is becoming alarmingly lighter by the minute. So in order to spend for the things you really want, you'll have to think about cutting back on the things you only kind of want.Think Twice and Cut BackIndeed, cutting back on your wedding expenses seems like a good idea. But like all good ideas, it's easier said than done. Being a bride, you want everything to be perfect no matter what the cost is. All reason flies out the window - and for good reason.If you stop, take a deep breath, and put things in perspective, however, you'll realize that this isn't a good way to do things. After all, though your wedding might not be like any other day, it's stil
Friday evening I came home to find a message sitting in my inbox about Dungeon Runners first major update, Chunk 1. There are some great new features added, of particular importance to me was the announcement that the movement feature had been changed so it wasn’t “laggy” anymore. I have yet to load it up but I will be doing so tonight when I get home. That was a major source of annoyance to me before. Though definitely a needed change they also added some other great stuff.

Today I bought my first LED light bulb. I tried the bulb in the lamp hanging over the kitchen table. It created a cool ambiance. The white glass bell of the lamp looked like a chunk of glowing ice. A small portion of the table directly under the lamp was lit up but the rest of the room was dark and gloomy. It was sort of fun to sit there with my two boys in the darkness when they had something to eat before getting ready for bed. We tried reflecting the light with a mirror and it was quite fascinating to see how well the light could be transmitted to different parts of the room. A normal bulb gives off light that is evenly spread in the room whereas a LED emits straight beams. It would be interesting to see if the room could be lit up more evenly by reflecting the light with a set of mirrors. Next time I hope I can find an omni directional bulb.
Chunk was born on one friday night in a pub in september 2000.
A friend had just bought an old Ford Capri MkI and with it, came a Haynes manual. So proud was she of her new purchase, she took the manual to the pub where they all sat around admiring the cover until someone said “wouldn’t that look great on a T-shirt”.
Chunk launched and was quickly noticed by the leading stores such as Harvey Nichols, The Dispensary, Richmond Classics, and the name and the range grew quickly.
After 7 years Chunk now produces two seasonal collections a year, two injection ranges and new T-shirt designs every 12 weeks.

$a=str_repeat(”A”, 65537);
$b=1;
$c=str_repeat(”A”, 65537);
chunk_split($a,$b,$c);

"We know so little about it," said Bramley Murton, a senior research scientist at Southampton's National Oceanography Center. "It's a real challenge to our established understanding of what the earth's surface looks like underneath the waves," he told Reuters by telephone from the brand new, hi-tech British research ship RRS J
