Comment on Soundgarden : Chris Cornell by blogger_review
Man - I really dug Chris Cornell in Soundgarden and Temple of the Dogs (that was him in temple of the dogs, right). I didn't care too much for him in Audioslave - but he's still one of the best singers of all time.

The notoriously reluctant heart-throb rubbed shoulders with the fashion superstars during the opening of BC, including John Galliano and Balenciaga's Nicholas Ghesquiere. The restaurant has become the new hotspot for supermodels and the fashion elite in Paris. Chris Cornell will also perform at the designer's 4th Annual Stuart H

The departure decision appears to have coincided when the group had reached it low point creatively (some time following the release of Revelations - the band's third studio album) at a time when there appeared to be little push forward or growth with the band's sound and personalities may have begun to clash.Audioslave performed for millions, but is no more.In Audioslave, Cornell - of Soundgarden, rocked with a band of former Rage Against the Machine members - Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk. As a self-appointed fan of all things Cornell I was intrigued to learn that after leading two successful bands and maintaining a solo career, the former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman filed a restraining order against a stalker, allegedly hired by his former wife and Soundgarden manager Sarah Silver. Talk about revenge of the ex!

Rage Against the Machine Coming Back?? Chris Cornell leaves Audioslave!
Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell has announced he will be leaving the group due to “irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences”. There has been no further word on whether the band will continue without him, and if so, who would take over vocal duties. “Earlier this month, Morello told MTV News that, for now, the Rage reunion would be a one-off, adding that his principal focus at the moment is his solo project, the Nightwatchman (see “Nightwatchman, Rage Reunion Have Morello Fired Up For Political Fights”).” In other words: Audioslave = dead. RATM = one shot deal for now, potential to reunite. Morello and Cornell’s solo careers will tank and they’re reform other “supergroups” down the road.

CD Review: Chris Cornell's Carry On
Chris Cornell may have never become the rock God some predicted, but to assert him as anything short of one of the great American rock vocalists of our time is sacrilege. Equipped with the similar larger than life range of David Lee Roth, accompanied with the same embittered soul of Eddie Vedder, Cornell always finds a way to carry on, tackling music the best way he knows how--his way.
