      Child safety: Prevent burns
From MayoClinic.comSpecial to CNN.comBabies and toddlers find out about the world through their sense of touch. One of the first things they learn is that some things can be painfully hot. Many items, such as stoves and radiators, are cool at some times and hot at others — which complicates the lesson. And then there's fire. It dances and flickers so enticingly. Child Safety in Bedrooms
Have you ever given it any thought that a child can unintentionally injure himself if he is left in a bedroom without supervision? Parents or guardians can set aside the dangerous things such as pointed or sharp objects or other injury causing things, but overall, there is bound to be something that can be dangerous to any child without a person knowing it. Child Safety - Door Knob Lock
Being the cheeky monkey that I am, I often get into mischief (and trouble) without even realising it. I have a new found love for door knobs and handles. Whenever I see one at home, and especially at my Nani’s place, I just have to ‘test’ it by twisting and pulling on it. Mummy and Daddy didn’t fully close the door because the baby monitor was in the room and they were just to lazy to unplug it and put it outside. Silly little me, being fascinated by doors and d

      Child Safety and the Internet
Probably one of the most horrifying fears almost every parent shares is the thought that their child may attract the attention of a pedophile. When I first let my daughter start a blog, we instituted a number of guidelines that we thought were reasonable. One thing we did not think of was the innocent sounding title of her blog.
