Prospect, Illinois has pleaded guilty and been sentenced on one count of possession of child pornography.Police first learned about Roby's activities when they caught him using online chat rooms to chat with under-aged boys. Roby had an interesting conversation with what he thought was a 13 year old boy. It was instead an undercover officer (not likely Roby's type).Roby was arrested in June, 2006 when he set up a meet at a local mall with what he thought was an under-aged boy. Five times Grammy and one time Academy Award winning English pop & rock singer, composer and pianist Elton John is involved with a Child Pornography case after he submitted a photo to an Art Gallery. The photo was seized by police. British newspaper The Sun reports - Art gallery bosses at The Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art in Gateshead, England have withdrawn the explicit photo a day before the exhibition is due to start on 26th september 2007. The buzzed photo, taken by famed photographer Nan Godin, features two young girls posing provocatively - and is one of 4,000 pictures used in the Sir Elton John Photographic Collection. The Rocket Man hitmaker is said to admire the “directness, truth and poignancy” of Godin’s work. Police spokesperson said to be investigating whether the gallery has broken the law for using the image. Kelly, 40, whose real name is Robert Kelly, faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted of videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl. Prosecutors have said the girl could have been as young as 13, but defense attorneys have disputed her age and whether Kelly is on the tape. The underground videotape was widely circulated.
Kelly pleaded not guilty to the charges and in the interim has released hit songs, gone on tours, and released a DVD set of “hip-hopera” skits.
The trial was delayed, in part, by arguments over when the video was made. It was also pushed back because the judge fell and broke bones and needed to recuperate.
